Suggestion for a new QoL improvement:
Better discoverability of keyboard shortcuts by showing them in the status bar when the respective UI element is highlighted (when the mouse is hovered over).
For instance "View Scenario Info (I)" in the status bar.
Or a quick reference overview panel for all shortcuts/keystroke combos.

Upcoming ERA 3 release is going to show health bars above the creature stack numbers. That would be interesting to have in HD mod or HotA as well (or VCMI).

Hello,
I know this is a bit too much but I have a feature request.
It's posible to incorporate an option to prevent the constant centering of the screen when a hero moves in the map? This is a bit hard for my eyesight sometimes.
The camera could be repositioned when the hero surpasses a threshold.

ERA/WoG Combat Settings SAVE/LOAD buttons disappeared since R26
Hello there,
I wonder what happened to the SAVE/LOAD buttons from the combat settings UI. I am running 5.4 R98 (the latest version) and there are no such buttons in the combat settings windows in WoG (ERA - latest version). They DO appear if I start regular Heroes 3 with HD.
This was not the case in R26 - a version I used to use back in the day (and I still have it). The buttons are there in WoG too. So I ran some tests.
What I found was that if I replaced the "HD_WOG.dll" in the R98 folder from the R26 folder, the buttons reappear in WoG (though I reckon that is NOT a very good idea to mix and match files from different versions).
Interestingly, also, if I press the "L" button from combat to try and force-load a game in R26, it works fine. R98 crashes. Fresh installation, no extra mods to cause problems.
Something happened in "HD_WOG.dll" in R98 that now makes those buttons disappear. Could they be re-added/patched?

After the last update my HMM started crashing on game creation or loading ... any tips how to solve that?

I have to question to ask: when loading a saved game is there a tweak / option to have the last saved file highlighted (as it used to be) instead of the last loaded file?

Game bugs
Hi, I'm a player from the 90s. Thank you for your hard work.
There are two bugs I'd like to report:
1. The in-game cinematics are not working on my Win 11 PC.
As it is about to load the cinematics, it says:
"Get sample could not find the "sfx" resource "g1a"
This should be a basic function for people wanting to enjoy the campaign.
2. The load screen is still highlighting the last loaded game, rather than the last saved game. This is different from the original, and important for players who wish to use saves often.
Thank you for your consideration. Can we please have this fixed?

Is it possible to hold right/middle mouse button and keep moving the camera more than current window?
It stops if the cursor touches the edge currently.

I was showing with the picture that the town did not have a prebuilt training grounds. All the castle towns controlled by ai in the map had training grounds with no stables.
Try acutally looking before replying

Look at the Timed Events for that town my man. It's built on day 11 by one.

Is there some sort of folder or repository which collects all publicly shared plugins for HD mod?
Also, can a plugin for HD mod be made that mimics the behaviour of HotA where flagged external creature dwellings accumulate their weekly growth? And also can a plugin be made that converts map objects that give you a resource once per week (Windmills, Water Wheels and Mystical Gardens) into flagable objects that automatically give you the resource at day 1 of a new week?

Hello all! Newbie here, so sorry if this is already answered somewhere.
Is it possible to add the different expansion packs to the same HD launcher?
I've been playing HotA for ages now, using the HoMM3 HD 5.5 R49 launcher, which has been amazing at all of the QoL changes (graphics, UI, etc.).
I just bought Heroes Chronicles All Chapters from GoG, but it wants to install every single one as a new game. Is it possible to have them merged somehow so I don't have 10 installers for essentially the same game with different maps?
Or how to add their exes to the HD launcher at least, to benefit from all of the QoL changes?
