I don't think these funny animations will be in the game....would be cool, but they won't fit into the seriousness of things...

and they could use that time to make town screens instead.
though the idea is interesting, no one complained about the lack of funny animations in previous homms.
I suppose no one have been able to test the game so far? they will probably need help with balance. the previous devs proved to not be very effective in this area.

No between the H6 logo and the puppetworks logo at the end. There are a few frames, if you pause there's a death knight. I'd post a picture but I can't work out how!

I have a topic: (sorry for not going with the Sanctuary hero-topic )
Having to choose only two special buildings. I've never been a fan of the "either or" concept when it's introduced in Heroes, for instance the champ in H4. How do you guys think this will turn out?

I think it will be fine, but it all comes down to how useful the buildings really are.
For example it would be a shame if the same buildings ALWAYS are chosen, because the other ones are so bad...

As long as they don't do that to creatures and the special buildings are awesome, i'm cool with that...

Oh - I would love a creature dwelling decision that forced your choice between units - strong ranged vs really strong melee. H5's alternate upgrades kinda touched on that, but I love things like that with long-lasting tactical implications.

Then you have to try out H4, if you haven't done so already. One of my personal favorites - a preference which apparently 99% of the rest of the users here do not share.
Man, choosing between Vampires and Venom Spawn in H4 was always a PAIN. But most of the other selections were pretty straightforward, i.e. Mage over Gold Golem or Genie over Naga, which made them kind of tedious. I am glad they went back to the single-creature 7-tier system with H5.

But the idea was NOT to make town screens, it wasn't a budget constraint or anything. I mean, how much more budget do you need for a 2D full screen animated/interactive version of what you are designing as a window??
But that would turn us into city planners and that's baaaaaaaaaad /sarcasm

I wouldn't say that 99% doesn't share the love for Heroes IV or so, it's just so that Homm 3 fans were always the loudest... oh, I wish heroes would again battle, get in prisons, and so on... and I still have a grudge against most Homm 3 fans who didn't want the sfi elements that Might and Magic universe was imbued with :/

Regarding skills and reputation they've chosen the path of "never a negative consequence". You don't have to choose tears over blood, there is no random skill that will clutter up your plan and so on. But when it comes to the town they go in the opposite direction; you have to choose which buildings NOT to build.
IMO it doesn't add anything tactical to the game. You will have to prioritize what you build against your recourses anyway. It just seems they are doing so many right choices in the many aspects of the game, yet when it comes to the towns

Yes and no. Negative consequences are minimized but you still have to make some choices. Take blood/tears, while you can gain points in both you'll have to focus on one if you want to make the best out of some spells. To have them both maximized will not be easy and could take a while, possibly on epic maps only.
In towns there are 4 optional buildings out of which you build 2. Effects could take place in your town, adventure map or even in combat so you'll just have to make your pick.

On the whole Blood - Tears matter it made me wonder a thing, how are going to balance out the points you receive from quest, and how will it be decided after a battle what you receive blood or tear points.
From what I understood on the adventure map you will be given an option
1. Attack robbers holding a hostage and kill them you get blood
2. You don't attack them and listen and you get tears, but now you get further development the robbers need help to if you help them out or not you get extra tears or receive blood so fourth and sow on, now my question is:
If for 1. you get 10 points than for 2 you get 10 tears, but if the option branches out you will get new options that are either blood or tears until a point but when you draw the line, if i take tears seams to be more advantageous because I might get 30 points in tears, if not that how is it going to be balanced out? will I get 30 blood points for 1 and I will heave to play through and spend more time on tears point to fulfill option 2 and get 30 points in tears? and if you and the quest by refusing middle way trough will you end with 20 tears and 10 blood? also is it possible for blood to be a branching out, like the person who hired you turns out to be bad and used you to take out the competition and are left whit the option to kill them to get extra blood points ...
On the other matter, if I remember well it was said you get blood or tears after a battle based on the way you play ... but in a battle I won't just be casting offensive spells and attack blindly so what determines the points you receive? either you will receive for both some points 5 blood and 3 tears or it will be a percentage calculation if you ware 52% offensive in gameplay and magic casted you get only blood, if you wear just 49% you get tears ? and the amount is based on how strong the stack was ? like in the case of experience ?.
We might not get some answers until we play the game but it would be nice to get some of the mechanics of the system before that ...
