Hmmmm....+2 to what attribute/stat? Does land and sea mobility have a scale now (ie up to 10). No more basic, advanced, expert logisitics.

I'm dissapointed that other then Biara, every hero so far is either human or was human. (In Scatha's case I'm even more dissapointed despite her lack of humanity, damn pointy ears are everywhere these days!)
And we're not even sure about Biara, all we know is that she apprently isn't a succubus and is a servant of the Overlord of Pain.
Which neither confirms nor denies a mortal origin for her.
It's blatant speciesism!
The HoMMVI factions are not equal oppertunity employers, they just are taking advantage of humanity's low wages and abundant workforce.
This is cannot be tolerated, we must unionize the orcs, demons, naga and "sufficiently decayed as to clearly not be living" and campaign against the ruinious corperate trends of HoMMVI Ashan!
Edit: we do know that there are clearly non-human pre-order/deluxe heroes and we also have a preview of one naga hero from a Q&A so not all hope is lost.

I agree that humans are dominating the "standard" hero pool - it's all too noticeable in the Sanctuary - but there are still proper Orcs, Demons and Nagas in the campaigns (among other things), don't worry.

I just hope that "dominating" doesn't imply more then 50% per fection (other then Haven and to some extent Necropolis which are supposed to mostly (ex-)human staffed anyway.) amongst orc, demon and naga heroes I can tolerate a minority, even if it's just slightly less then half.
I'd feel embarrased as an Orc/Naga/Demon that we'd mostly rely on outsiders for leadership, that's pretty much got "species leadership failure" written all over it in big neon red letters.
Though I admit, I'm tempted to hedge a "died but came back in sheogh as a quasi-demon" on "ok by me" side.

Well maybe it goes to show that all the animals on planet earth are run by us mad humans....so in Ashan all factions are run by some mad human hero....damn humans!
Besides, the Sanctuary heroes are not human, they're chinese!

Tsuan is painfully.. uninteresting. She looks like some random civilian, she does not have a single interesting thing about herself. Not as a character, not as a portrait, not as nothing.

I tend to agree with Mr.Dragon here.
The majority of the Heroes should be of the main race of the Faction. Meaning that for Stronghold, over 50% of the Heroes should be Orcs. Sanctuary should have over 50% Naga, etc. To a lesser extent Heroes should originate from allied creatures, Centaur and Harpies for Stronghold, Sharkmen and Waterspirits for Sanctuary etc. Humans should only cover a minute part of the Heroes in factions they don't belong to if they are there at all.
Ubisoft wanted to have Factions to have a racial basis in the New setting and they did this well in Heroes V. Now they seem to be crawling back and I consider this a crying shame.
I am rather fond of the racial basis idea, but they should enforce it rigidly or not at all.

There were humans all over the place in all the Heroes games except for 5 and I didn't really mind. You had humans leading greenskins, humans leading lizardmen and swamp beasts, humans leading minotaurs, demons, elementals and pretty much every faction there is.

Actually, I'd say humans are not the dominant species on this planet at all, arthropods like Beetles are doing far better then humans are.
As animals go, we're pretty special, but definately not the the guys running the places.
Quite the opposite infact, humans are the only animals actively screwing up the place, admittedly sometimes with the help of other animals, like Cane Toads in Australia.
Heck if we're gonne go beyond animals, try various microscopic forms of life, like germs.
*cough* nerd rant over.
Uhm... back on topic.
I just find it odd that Orcs, Demons and Naga who are all presumably physically superior and simultainiously not inferior on an intellectual level can hold so much stock in Human heroes.
I'd have sold that stock a long time ago.
Then again, HoMMV is the future... so I'm gonne play the heroes stock market and make a killing when humans fall out of favour in Inferno and Stronghold selling all my Demon and Orc stock!

Glad to see that these Elite unit heroes only increase by +3. I know some (including myself) had concerns that it would be too much if they increased +6 like the two Core unit heroes do.
Now I'm curious to see if there are any Champion unit specialists.

THEY depicted Nagas as isolationists who live on their islands far from the matters of the world, yet their armies are lead by humans ? And sorry, but have you read Tsuan's story ? It's such a pile of dung !

Yeah, I with you guys on this, some of these characters simply seem out of place with absolutely nothing gained from them being there.
I'm not gainst an occasional Human hero in each faction in order to have something to relate to (I've always been one of them who found the idea of playing with something that looked like a, well, blue or red blob (depending on if it was Academy or Inferno) rather uninspiring) - but in a case like this Tsuan character, not only is she completely generic and boring like Elvin say, her story also makes absolutely zero sense.
