I doubt the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" ability will remove the entire stack. If so then that's pretty ridiculous and takes away from the spirit of the game too.
My personal favorite is the Tide Master's: "Neutral Ability: Tsunami
All enemies are "Soaked" for several turns. All one square-sized enemies are pushed back 2 squares and "Stunned" for several turns."
That just sounds like such a fun strategic advantage!

Probably the number of turns you have to wait to activate the ability depends on the number and level of the stack...

I sincerely hope "watery grave" gets altered, for it is the ONLY advanced ability which doesn't affect any and all creatures equally. What if the opponent is Necro? Then Flood Conjurers would be significantly hampered.(H3 Fortress had a similar problem IMHO: their strength was the multitude of useful abilities... of which only a precious few affected Undeads  )

It's not the only one, pyromancer would probably have trouble vs demons as well. Resistant to fire.

And weren't Orcs supposed to be resistant to magic in general?
Or did that idea totaly come out of nowhere?
I guess this promotes "counter" behaviour and scouting.
Knowing what your enemy plays and how he plays it and making sure your strategy is up to the task.

Since each path has different spells it is harder to tell how effective it will be regardless of the unique spells. Spell more likely, getting the ultimate is probably not going to happen in a casual map.

Resist =/= Immune to.
Considering Undead get away with being immune to tons of effects, I'd say it's fair to give other factions some more broader specific defenses.

Indeed. Necropolis army tends to be immune to huge variety of spells, so fire resistance for Inferno troops seems reasonable.
If there are any other resistances to schools, I'm certain they are in spirit of the creature/armies and make sense as well. No worries on that part.

Who's up for starting a new general discussion thread? After this many hundreds of pages it's getting a bit silly in here. Plus it's not really a thread that anyone looking for info would trawl through, it's more of a real time commentary on what's going on with the game.

In a similar fashion, showing the Kappa as a bearded grandpa-toad-turtle-thingy is equally arbitrary and I don't hear anybody complaining.

Just wanted to echo my opinion that I think Mother Breeder sounds dumb and that the developers should've spent more time coming up with better names for their new and original creatures.

Uhm Yeah.
But It should be similar to the current Cyclop, no need for a one-eyed super model here. 
However I'm not butt-hurt about no female Cyclop if that's what you think...
I'm just saying it would be a cool change.

I'm just saying it would be a cool change.
The above plus would be fun to give some twists to overused creatures in fantasy seatings, I mean in H6 some female units ware put in as fashion models (not saying is good or bad) but also made some twist like female centaurs ... what can I say would have love to see twisted some more units that way ...
