I'm afraid you can only get the guaranteed beta access if you pre-order from steam or the ubi-shop.
Any other pre-order does not come with this service.

Send Amazon an e-mail and ask. I've asked several smaller web stores and they've confirmed that I'll get the beta if I order from them.

The screen shots are amazing, the multi-level terrain they've implemented is an immense step up from all previous heroes for the look of the adventure map.
Apart from that the graphics are of course an improvement, to be expected for a new game but... well they've pulled it off, the 3d elements look gorgeous.

Interesting about Fog of War.....remember we are looking at screenshots completely visible....might be multi-level the fog of war...
About the Beta...
If one orders through Ubishop, does one buy the game through a digital download?
I want to order/buy the physical game (to have the DVD and everything)....but also want to get access to the Beta....

It is true that on many (but I don't think all) screenshots there is none, but I think that's intentional for the screenshot purposes, because the gameplay footage we've seen there is fog of war, I'm positive seeing it on the footage from the prologue missions featuring Pavel (or was his name Slava?)
Oh and I believe it was on some of the earliest screenshots featuring Svetlana.
I'm gonne go dig for a second.

They are aware of the issue, it has been repeatedly given as feedback but both Elvin and Ceph say they are not willing to make any promises.
So as much as I admire your enthuisiasm, don't get your hopes up.
Also.
Yes according to screenshots found on pages 1, 2 and 5 of the screenshot/artwork thread, there is fog of war.
Probably more screenshots, but that is a definite yes.
Guess all the unfogged shots kinda make you forget.

You won't be able to load ubishop because it sees your IP and it from Romania and Ubisoft and doesn't show up (if your savvy in networking you could try a proxy program to hide your IP but I still don't think you can order from them ... just a guess ) has an exclusive agreement for the Romanian territory for distribution through Best Distribution ...

The bad part about it is that the haven't confirmed as of yet if they will give/are allowed (might be related to the way is don because the don't take your money you just get a confirmation for the order and will ship it to you when available and only that you pay while for other like Steam and Ubishop you pay now and wait to receive the game ) to give beta access if you buy thorough them

Regarding Amazon ... what Brukernavn said is the most sensible step to take.
@DoubleDeck well should really balance it out want a hard copy to cherish or just a image thrown on th disk, for me it was easy do to my nature of having collections of my favorite games up on the shelves that's way I per-ordered a hard copy of the Collectors Edition months ago even though I might not get a beta access(see above explanation), not really hyped playing a buggy half-game, if I get access fine if not patience is not a issue a can wait some 3-4 months more for a amazing game.

Elvin/Cepheus, I know You must be sick of being asked questions constantly, but I would be really grateful if You were kind enough to answer mine.
You see, I was thinking about the Beta, specifically the possible contents of it, and I noticed, that music was never mentioned in the trailer. Could it be, then, that the Beta won't contain any? Or will there be only a limited amount of tracks? I would appreciate any response.

EDIT: Also, will the T-shirt included in the Collector's Edition be available separately sometime later?

I obviously cannot give you any facts, but I think it's reasonable we will get many of the themes for appropriate factions, areas and events playing during the beta.
It's something so basic that I think they forgot to mention it in the trailer or other info, or rather, didn't think it worth mentioning because it's so basic.
I mean, music has been an important part of the experience of playing a game since the 70s, though back then it usualy was a short track constantly looping (like say in Pac Man).
It is extremely rare to see a game, even as a demo or beta without some kind of soundtrack or at least one single theme looping.
Besides, we can't provide good feedback on anything other then core gameplay, and even barely that, without music.
Music is an essential part of the experience and thus something also subject to feedback, which makes it a part of the Beta.
Of course, I could be completely wrong, but it seems quite an elementry part of a game to me.

I'm pretty certain there will be music in the beta, but I'm not sure if it has all been implemented properly yet. Everything is still subject to change after all.

Speaking of Beta is Beta.
It is reasonable to expect to play through multiple builds of Beta, so even when you get the initial beta, the beta itself might change several times before release.
So not only is everything in a beta subject to change to release, but also subject to change for the next beta build, such an update schedule might vary from days to weeks (to months, but HoMM's beta likely won't last THAT long as the planned release is reasonably near.)
Off topic:
Also I wouldn't call TB great, don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of TB, but he himself likes to remind people: he's a random british guy who talks about video games. As much as I respect that, find him entertaining and follow his shows religiously, he's got a point.
Back in his Blue-Please days on WoW-radio (yeah I'm a bit of a TB veteran) he also responded much more enthuisiastically to people who jokingly insulted him in their e-mails then people who verbally grovelled before him.
Funny guy TB, and a he does a lot of Starcraft II casts! (wheeee!)
