Working on my own MOD which I hope to make available at some point soon. I have a noticed that opening hero screen always has a 2 second delay. Is this commonly experienced by others or is this a peculiarity I have developed on my system. Not a big deal really but a curiosity.

It is not normal. Use the mod manager and start disabling mods until only ERA core is left or your problem is gone.
Are you using the H3 Launcher with the newest ERA version?

Hey guys,
First of all sorry if this is the wrong thread for our problem.
Okay, I want to tell you here of our problem with WOG Era3. It's a really annoying bug which makes the game almost unplayable.
At first: We had even a clean install of Heroes 3 Complete Edition and installed then again all of the upgrades (HD Mod, Hota, Heroes3 Launcher and finally WOG inclusive patches) by watching this video:

We installed any of these addons as "admin" and we even delete space characters in the install-directories (e.g. we use "Homm3Era" instead of "Homm 3 Era"). We also shut off any antivirus programs during the installation.
Now, Heroes 3 Hota works fine and is 100% playable.
But in WOG we get a strange bug after a few rounds or weeks, which makes the game unplayable especially with the dungeon faction (and I think some other factions as rampart too), because all of the shooters of that faction (beholders and medusas) loose, after the occurence of the bug, their ability to shoot,... and then attack just only with their melee attacks. And no, we didn't activate the option "shooters can't shoot"...
Some other factions like Necropolis and their lich creatures can still shoot.
This bug or error happens always when the computer player attacks the human player and it appears ONLY in online multiplayer.
The bug (which consists of multiple Error Messages) says, when it appears, something like this:
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "bgorshot.82M"
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "faiddfnd.82M"
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "btreshot.82M"
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "faidattk.82M"
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "faidmove.82M"
ResourceManager::GetSample could not find the "sfx" resource "unicshot.82M"
As said, after these error messages, the shooters of factions like dungeon can't shoot anymore. Even the "Shoots"-text in the unit-description (where you can see attack, defense, speed etc.) has disappeared.
This error/bug just appears in multiplayer, I couldn't see any of these bugs in single player.
I hope you can help us to fix this problem because Wog is a really great Heroes 3 mod!

it is easier for us to help you there.
I have not heard of missing shots before in multiplayer game.

If you load the savegame, you must have two players. One is the blue player, the other one is tan. After the round (or after a few rounds) the computer player should attack one of the player towns,
which starts the error messages. I'm not sure if the error happens in a hotseat game, because we are playing it via tcp/ip by using radmin vpn.

Hi, whats wrong with ERA on XP? HotA works without issues. (Yes, I have HoMM3 HD 5.3 R11 with full XP support). I have also tried unmodded ERA and same issue is there.
Anybody have idea how to fix it?

Tactics should work just fine. Make sure you don't have an option enabled that disables Tactics skill (there is one).
Meanwhile, there's also a H3 Launcher available that updates your game to the newest version with many fixes compared to back in the days.

I just installed Era 3.
In WOG you could have a map and an ERM script with the same filename, to have that script work for that map only.
It doesn't work in Era by default - is it not supported or do I need to set something up somewhere?

Create directory MapsYour_map_file_name_without_extensionDatas
and place your ERM scripts there.
