1) If you disable week of, you will get plagues if description is correct. However, plagues are disliked by a majority of players.

2) Era is not changing WoG scripts, they are same + bug fixes following players reports. As far as I know, treasure chest is still giving choice-there are two distinct scripts acting a bit different, you can disable one or another-.

3) There is no complete wog manual because people focused first on Erm manual, being far more important at that time.

1- Week of description is incorrect, i've asked about this about two years ago, as far as i know, nobody ever witnessed plague on wog. And yes, it is really annoying most of the time, but it is a challenge and it's a feature of the game and wog should enhance the game, not the other way around.

2- the wog chest used to have three diferrent effects

a)flag a mine (still the same)
b)give expert secondary skill in a week (now gives it after a day passes)
c)give primary skill OR resource (now gives both)

the change in b is not much, but when we come to c, i liked the optional chest because it required tactical thinking, will i need the +2 knowledge or should i take the cyrstals and upgrade my dragons and so on...

i'm definitely sure the chest scripts changed. maybe it's one of the mods but i only have yona and new objects patch active.

Edit: Tested it, it's not yona.

You are right, I checked and script was modified by JimV to give both resource and skill, I agree it was more strategical before.

Plague: if week of is disabled, there is nothing to prevent plague unless it is hardcoded and I am not aware of. Anyway, I don't think many will complain, the plague is a game killer for custom maps, and WoG is mainly for custom maps and mods, not random maps where it becomes crazily unbalanced and buggy.

Put in Mods\YourMod or WoG\EraPlugins\AfterWoG

The patch disables UN:M command and returns default Heroes 3 month handling.

Thanks, this way it also has an on/off switch in the plugins manager. Sadly, i tried this on a test map, i waited for 9 months sometimes reloading week 4 day 7's. No plague and every week is either week of the hornet or week that gives familiar growth +5. (inferno grail effect?)

week of monsters option was turned off. (with this patch, that will still disable plague month as described right?)

first, it did the same thing but i noticed the game was only acting as if there was an inferno grail in the test map although it didnt even have an inferno. so i figured out there was something wrong with the map, created a new test map, i used the first bin file you uploaded again and bingo month eleven was month of the plague.

so, your first bin file actually solves the problem. plague month can now be turned on/off under plugins manager.thanks a lot. sorry about the first test, i dont know what was wrong with the map.

i guess week of monsters script still disables it but now the description is finally correct: no plague month only if you turn this script on (and of course plague month.bin under plugin manager)

The only way to disable it is to turn it off. Should be noted that this patch will screw almost all custom maps or mods if activated, as it overwrites the instructions.

Do you mean "week of monsters" in wog options no longer prevents plague? i activated it and it seems to work fine.

artu, thanks, you need to enter battle options and set Creature Info => All statistics. Otherwise game does not calculate damage at all. I just cannot imagine how you play without damage display.

EDIT. I fill fix Yona and Era, but you won't see valuable hints if game statistics is off.

well, after a while you can guess who will hit what. i keep that off because i dont like the little windows that pop up every time i hover over a creature. But i guess it's either that, or turning OverrideBattleLogHint off from yona settings or playing with "0 (0)" display. Thanks for your time.

Should i replace my files with the original backed up stuff or am i fine with these latest downloads?

Some of the files are from unreleased Era 2.4. You may restore old files. When 2.4 is released, there will be no more problems with 0 (0).

well maybe a bin file can be added to the plugin manager enabling the statistics to display yet disabling the little creature windows that pop up. they are really distractive.

another idea is a button to save your random map settings. for example i often play a large random map with seven players, with a rampart (me), tower, two castles, dungeon, necropolis and elemental conflux with everybody's starting bonus as artifacts. it would be very practical to be able to save that setting like we are able to save our wog settings.

of course i know nothing about coding and when i suggest these things i have no idea how hard or easy they are to produce. so excuse me if i'm flying high.
