Hi guys. I'm obviously new here and a bit naive. I do have some questions about these fan-made add-ons.
- I currently have HoMM III (RoE, SoD, AB) with WoG 3.58f. Is it okay to add this ERA 2.46->2.55?
- Does ERA 2.55 fix the script error when you try to leave the place where you gotta kill the Ghoul Lord on WoG's Life of an Adventurer campaign?
- Is there a newer version of WoG 3.58fwhere I could play the "locked campaigns"? (I have played all four).
Another problem is... when I try to load a saved game (AUTOSAVEs), ERA gives me a script error.
Any help would be surely appreciated. Thanks

Ok.

That's not Era goal to fix WoG bugs.

Only saved games made with 2.55 can be loaded in 2.55.

I could fix and improve the campaign (proper object descriptions), but I am not sure how to use it with external script, or if it is possible at all. Will talk to you about.

Hey Bersy and Salamandre! I'm glad that this online community's still alive (especially you guys) and I wanna know how to do some stuffs like modding or correcting some scripts and dialogue boxes. Im trying to read threads like: Introduction to Modding and Scripting and Creating Unique Abilities but I don't know where to actually begin with. I really want to edit that ERM script where I get stuck on that WoG campaign.
Meh. I figured I can just play around with the mods/expansions for the meantime. I'm not really into programming but I wanna give it some try to make my own creatures and stuffs

Wish you luck with modding
Val, he will need 2.55 in order to correct campaign scripts on the fly, but campaign should be started from the beginning. It it's ok, just send me campaign file (h3c), I'll make a package which can be tested and corrected on 2.55.

You don't need to change language. Install Heroes 3 Complete in non-system directory (ex. D:\WoG), run Era isntaller and select WoG folder. That's all.

After installing latest version of Era II I have trouble removing creature fast battle animations. I disabled it in the mod list but it's not working.
I did remove it from my previous Era installation, but I have trouble remembering how. The help for WOG says I should delete creanim.txt from WOG data but I can't find that file anywhere.

I remember last time I installed Era I also had this problem but I manualy fixed it somehow. I think it has something to do with WOG. Is fast animation also WOG feature?

Sorry about the fact that I am a bit new to the whole fan-created mod system. But I do think that it is quite cool. Anyhow I installed Era 2.46 and I am unable to edit anything in my Mods Manager file. If I try to edit something such as Yona(move it up or down/disable it), for example, I get this message:
---------------------------
---------------------------
Press CTRL+C to copy this message
Please ensure that you have enough rights for creation, deletion or editing "Mods\list.txt" file. The file should not have "read only" attribute. The last unsuccessful call:
FileDelete(C:\Program Files (x86)\3DO\Heroes 3 Complete\Tools\Mod Manager\..\..\Mods\list.txt)
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
If someone could tell me what is wrong I would really appreciate it because I also can't use any mods at the moment because of this...

Februarius, Phoenix mod has fast animation by default. Open Phoenix.pac with Pac Editor from Era start menu, then remove cranim.txt.
RedDawn, If you run win > XP, you should never install games in Program Files, as you can't overwrite later.

So should I uninstall it, and then reinstall it out of program files? If so, where should I install the game to then? I have always installed games to program files and I have never really had the need to overwrite them. Again I'm pretty new to the mods and I'm pretty sure I sound like a complete noob right now, but I do appreciate the help.

Meh, move the folder in C: or D:, whatever your system has, then run it from there.

So I placed HoLv32 first in Mods Manager, followed by: Secondary Skills Scrolling, Yona, Fast Battle Animations(will pry end up disabling), and then WoG. I started up the game and nothing changed... did I do something wrong? Part of the problem may or may not be that the game itself will not run outside of program files. So I was able to fix it so I can edit my Mods Manager in program files, but if the game being in program files is still the problem.... Let me know if you have any ideas.

So, it was Phoenix after all, not WOG. Again, thank you for your help.
