Lately I had some freeze issues with the town screens and I am working on a solution, if that still doesn't work I will edit the map to have my hero start with the army he should have(for my games alone of course). I have reinstalled the game and I'm patching it again, as soon as I'm done I will update the map description and post the link. Pairs and faction matchups to follow.
With polyglot providing me random number pairs from 1-10 and random.org rolling the factions(1-5 corresponding to sanctuary, necro, haven, inferno, stronghold) we have..
Locksley(Stronghold) vs Seddy(Inferno)
Foux(haven) vs Gameslayer989(stronghold)
Xerox(necro) vs Simpelicity(inferno)
arvisme(haven) vs Nikolas(sanctuary)
Purode(stronghold) vs Elvin(sanctuary)
Now only the map remains but the game is still patching and I'll soon have to go. Will post the link when I'm back.

Xerox, are you available sometime monday afternoon (GMT -5)?
BTW we're going to be 5 after this round. Want the 5 finalists to all play against one another? It's much more unlikely that there's going to be a tie, and likely that if there's one it's only between 2 people (at which point we could just look at who won the match between those 2).

Well it always felt to me that blazing glories attack would inflict blindness, not be used to prevent a unit from retaliating for a few turns, but perhaps it's simply the part of me that got raped by blazing glories and is still butthurt about it.

It is goddamn annoying but there is no way to bypass it without creating further complications. If the glory does not use it, haven is at disadvantage. If you agree not to attack blinded units it would be unfair and then what happens if you want to cast an aoe spell over them. Etc. Bag of worms really so be prepared for more butthurts 
Duel Map 2.0 is ready, let the games begin!
As a reminder hero lvl is 20(which means racial gauge will not fill up to lvl 4), reputation is lvl 1 so abilities/spells will not have full mastery, there are no relics and armies are 6 weeks strong so balance will be different from last time. Read the rules before you begin and good luck 
Oh and make sure that you get the seraph mod from the masterpost, the map is NOT balanced without it!

i'm gonna have to withdraw unless we play next weekend. It's the last real week of school and there's A LOT of important tests to practice for (aswell as some political activities outside of school).

And it came to passs that the hero of light, atop his might steed of snow, gathered his army along the grass. The tribes, hearing of this incursion, took the heroes intent as hostile. Gathering the local tribes together they formed a council of war. It was a young dreamweaver, of the name shament, chosen for his clear mind and level-headedness, who was chosen to lead his brothers.
The hero of light gased upon the armies of the orcs, and he knew no fear, for Elrath himself was with him. And nay he did fear, despite the blind maidens Entropathic presence, as he had fought orcs before, and knew of their simplistic strategems. He planned a simple assault. He would bless the sun crusaders with power unmatched, then ride down all who attempted to stand in his way.
The griffins took to the air, the crusaders began their charge, and the spirits of elrath moved forward. But behind, almost unnoticed in the turmolt, the young dreamweaver spoke to father sky, and a powerful hail strom descended on the heroes lesser ranks. The hero, knowing his army to be the stronger, pressed forward eagerly into battle, striving to close the distance as quickly as possible.
Strangely though, despite the orcs obvious wish to meet his army in combat, they offered no resistance. Despite their blood rage, the young man commanded calmness, obedience and clarity. So when the charge was finished, the armies of light met the orcs with almost no resistance. Tearing through many of the orc tribes, the crusaders began a blood frenzy of their own. It took them a long time to realise their mistake. Their supporting troops were not there. Somehow, the dreamweavers had slowed their movement, forced the ground beneath to become swap. The orcs warriors, now unleashed, surrounded the poor crusaders, thus the battle truely was fought.
In the face of the orcs discipline, the hero was forced to expend all his auxillary forces in a desperate attempt to keep his cursaders alive, but again the power of the dreamweavers created a blast of wind, preventing the griffins from engaging. His sun crusaders, combined with his angels and glories, found their retreats cut off, their ranks scattered, and succumbed to the pure numbers the young dreamweaver was able to throw at them.
The hero of lights incursion was stopped cold, the hero himself retreating in shame, as he watched his units systematically destroyed 1 by 1. The young dreamweaver exhaulted in his victory, but worried about the consequences of his actions. Why had the heero come to his lands? Why had he attacked? With a sinking feeling he realised this may not yet be over.
The battle was recorded, the video will be up in a few days.
