fixed horrible bug in Amethyst 2.3 (introduced by me). please redownload the mod :|

EDIT: introduced new problems. old saves not compatible.

EDIT: reverted unneccessary changes, and fixed one thing

EDIT: Fixed sume things in scripts

It is good that you came back to work on the mod. I am very happy with that.

I tested some turns, and the game not crash after 3 turns, but the save button not working causing crashes. I can not save manually the game.
Another problem: the game freezing when i choose a commander skill upgrade after a month. Just Ctrl+Alt+Del save me. So far it is good. Is some like playable.

Do you have any Ideas for Potion Effect?
I use coloring from M&M but different set of effects
I already have RBY, PGO, and layered
then some white and some black.
Please point me what some White and black potions could do?

You can put to increase one hero stat and decrease another hero stat in the same time for the same potion. For example, to increase hero attack/defense/damage with 3 but decrease luck with 1. Or Increase hero spellpower/knowledge with 5 and decrease hero morale with 2.
Attack, defense and damage must be linked with luck, one increase and other decrease, and spellpower and knowledge with morale.

I don't consider bad effects, thanks but I won't make them.
nerfed the black permanent potions to 9 skill per potion, 5 potions per hero (of each 4 permanent types)

Tyris is Bugged
it sets speciality to Builder from no reason, and is battled with rougues every day. Could anybody help?

Without knowing all your scripts it's difficult to help.
But what i would do i would use Total Commander and search my code for variants of this:


 X8/$1/0/0/0/0/0 or X8/$1
  $2=subtype
      =1 for Walking Darkness
      =2 for Builder

HE:...:X8/2/d/d/d/d/d;

if Tyris becomes builder for no reason it must be coded somewhere, if it's not completly bugged.

If i do this search i can find a similar line of code in Adventure Pillars Mod (not Tyris). Well, maybe it helps. Good luck.

I found what was the problem!
All Tyris's Hero variables were butchered. (the w1 to w99) and it happens only to tyris

how to fix this?

EDIT: the values of butchered w-vars were set to 359, hope it helps nailing the bug (I seem not be able to find it myself )

EDIT2: forced wogermlog.txt - hope it helps

EDIT3: the butchered block size is equal exactly 144 longs (144*4 bytes = 576 bytes)

Hi! There is something strange with battles. I switch to quick battle and every battle between heroes or between hero and castles crash the game with no message. I can not win if i can not fight.

I see quick combat option is the problem. When i disable it and play battle manually it works.

Savegame has a problem. When i load a saved game it put me in another player's place. I start as player 1 and after load the saved game i become player 2. Strange.

Did you see that bank map objects has 3 slots of 36194 lvl 8 creatures and one slot of one type of castle guardians just after 4 month? A dwarven treasury has  108582 lvl 8 creatures to beat. How can i beat after 4 month such creatures quantity?

Another problem: Paladin Commander can not be killed. He resurrect at infinity when i play manual battle.

the game is unstable with latest builds, sorry, please use older version from november for now.

Paladin has "rebirth" ability from the beginning (other commanders may get it later). It comes from my commanders mod, which restores Death Stare for commanders, and put new mixed abilities to match the strongest ones. Rebirth works if commander have some castings left, so if you wish best "rebirth" invest in spellpower

the swarms on the creature banks - there are new creature banks which are stronger than dragon utopias with 6 extremely powrful stacks, but they never should exceed 200. probably I have broken the Amethyst plugin. also maybe another things.

new bugs are coming from memory overwrite, I should fix them this week mostly, if not fully.

Hi, the script worked before. Try please the version from november, since version from december have new bugs. Including crashes and weird behaviour. I would tell when it would be ready ...

currently there is regression - some part of crexpo stopped working and some w-vars are butchered (including all from Tyris)

It is the version from november. I install november version and that version had just very few problems. In the rest, it is very good version, with no crash and weird bug messages. And decembeer version is indeed unplayable like you said. Ok, i wait another version.

Version from today is semi-stable. It is tagged as such (they may be some less stable versions this weekend including today's evening).

I don't know how to fix Tyris bug. (there are broken memory block at address of Tyris w-vars). This version should be at least good for testing .

EDIT: it seems Tyris Bug is somewhat connected with UN:A command ... (it may be problems with artifact scripts or emerald2 code )

I really don't know much about ERM (basically nothing) but can you pinpoint when this value gets switched to 359 from what it should really be?
i.e. place a breakpoint @ 0x732672 and keep track of [EBP - 0C]. If it's correct there, then function call 0x74195D is changing its value as it's passed by Arg1. Likely no help at all but that's about what I do when I can't figure out what typo I've done.

After new game but before day 1 - I believe.

EDIT: FIXED! (using some nasty hack but works   )

EDIT: last comit includes def and txt for "native dialogs" plugin

EDIT: Fixed some bug in the background

EDIT: Fixed level7Bug and machine duplicating bug
Current version seems stable (it is for usage with ERA2.65 or later)

Today came new stable version! fixed most of important bugs!

what concepts do you wish to be included in Knightmare Kingdoms?
I am finishing the Alchemy. I am about to try different machine types per hero class (Gas Tent for Necro, Hell Tent for Inferno etc). I am ironing bugs.

so please give Ideas, and report bugs
