Updated Amethyst Upgrades to 0.4.4

two new units:
- Gnoll Raider
- Greater Demon

reversed two units to default settings
- Werewolf
- Rogue

New units are upgrades instead of freed units

upgraded AMethyst Upgrades to 0.4.5
-Pit master now ressurects demons
-future compability files

it's not an error, it's just a warning that AU doesn't have sounds yet. In lather phase we may complete the sounds

@shooters
are you sure you copied Mods\Amethyst Upgrades\data\creatures to Data\Creatures? if not amethyst doesn't read monster flags such as shooting. there is a windows script that will copy it for you but if you prefer you may do it by hand.

going to release 7U version

need to find naga, manticore and cyclops upgrades as DEF files. please help. you may go creative...

if i count well all other upgrades are already implemented as def files (non functional now until i get all defs and zcrtraits files)

probably I'll change name of mod then but well it's more than FU port

just played a bit with Amethyst Upgrades Lite

its realy nice!
some problems still:

-often crashes in fights
-shooters cant shoot (i used your install script and tried to copy by hand, i copied creatures from mod to h3/data)
-missing pics and stats in creatures stack experience

shooter can shoot if instaled properly


sorry but it's minor incompability between new Era and old Amethyst (it kind of ignores mod system). be sure to copy creature folder to proper place.

Notice: working version is Amethyst Upgrades Lite, Amethyst Upgrades is WIP (to provide 7U and a bit more)

EDIT: Found upgrade for manticore, but very not obvious - it's Female Warlock

Amethyst Upgrades 0.5.1
- all creature defs packed into PAC file
- prepared cranim (slow and fast version)
- increased creature limit to 242 (for 7U support)
- created placeholder zcrtrait (not playable yet but kind of works
- changed script99.erm to match all 63 upgrades (7U for every town of total 9)
- changed ert file to show the changes
- ers file is as previous - not translated and not updated to new creature amount
- no sounds yet
- pictures (not the animation) are really placeholder


Notice: if you want play not just test use Amethyst Upgrades Lite which is 4U version but all data filled

EDIT: Amethyst Upgrades 0.5.2
- filled creature data (zcrtrait.txt)
- added workaround for creature magic
- already playable, but have lack of Ai values

EDIT: NEED HELP, could anybody help creating portraits for creatures, and choose Sounds for creatures? also a bit help with balance would be welcome. From Mechanics I need to thinkout Creature Experience. there is only 45 new creatures

- first versions of creature experience

Hi, majaczek! I like very much what you done, but there are some things that must be corrected. I installed your last version of Amethyst Upgrade and i receive an error when i want to click on creatures icon from town garrison.

On some maps appears some errors because of missing defs or something like this. Probably because of changing the list of creatures.

There are some scripts from other mods that are in conflict with your mods like Castle Upgrading. I have latest version of HD Mod and when i click on creatures icons from left low corner of the screen the game show an error and close.

In conclusion, your mod has an visible impact on the other mods, so i guess that you must notice in your ini file the compatibility problem with those mods.

try latest version (not the one from 7z but one from folder). I recently fixed shooting animation which caused crashes.
I also added AmeUpgSilence.snd which fixes warning with missing sound.

note that any other mod which adds or changes creatures is not compatible with amethyst upgrades. For problems with flags (ie. shooters doesn't shoot) make sure that you copy creatures folder into eradata folder (it's explained on picture inside creatures folder).

I don't know how it works with 3.58f castle upgrading, but if you use SU Patch (or just WoG Plus which includes SU Patch) there shouldn't be any conflicts. (I briefly tested it myself)

Note that WoG PLUS requires WoG Revised and have to override it

I have the latest version of the mod and it is not because animation.

Realy i want that your creatures to become standard. That means they appears in map editor, in random maps, and to have dwellings like L8 creatures.

If I have Time and Will, I may create new Mithril script (basing on the old) that allows you upgrade adventure map dwellings twice. Plus I would add some funny features like well digging (upgrade digging hole to magic well using mithril).

I thought also about new concept - Town defenders - You can build new building if you have castle, that summons a few extra powerfull creatures for every siege in that town on castle side. Count is equal number of month, creature is about level 12.

EDIT: does it crash for you or AI? is it probably from spell casting?
EDIT: missing defs? do you probably left new creature on map? Don't do that, there is no creature defs for adventure maps in my package...

EDIT: Amethyst Upgrades is not compatible with New Upgrades
also please install WoG Plus and make it load after WoG Revised
WoG PLUS is combination of must-to-have mods including SU Patch and some of mods you already use.

EDIT: there were a few glitches in AU in 7U version, which I believe I fixed today or yesterday. note that after upgrade you may need to restart game (start ahead of new game), or bugs persist in save.

It crash when i click creature icon in town garrison. It strange because that happens not for all creatures. I guess is about random position that make problems. And some times i receive some error from game about location of creatures. I see that all is about the creatures and all problems appears when i emable amethyst mod. I like very very much this mod, and i want so much to be able to meke it compatible with all this mods but i do not know what is wrong to be able to fix it.
I like very much your ideas with mithril script and Town Defenders. I hope that you will find the right amound of time to do it. BTW: Scientist beleve that the time do not exist! So, you do not need time, because it not exist!

I can't reproduce the crash with Necro Town.
Could you list creatures that causes crashes? It probably would help.

Thats an enormous list of mods, which already should conflict before amethyst, new level up mod conflicts with many others.

I played a lot Knightmare Commander mod and i like it very much, but, after i installed ReMagic 1.5 the astral commander became too hard and impossible to beat because spawn thousands of elementals. I wrote to you a message in the past to ask how can i eliminate the spell that heroes cast random in battle because Necro heroes cas death ripples to often and in high level is impossible to beat them, and the same thing to Castle heroes that cast Destroy Undead spell for necropolis players, but i receive no usefull answer.

I can not play Knightmare Heroes because is in conflict with other of my enabled mods.

I have a cupple of mods that are vital for me like: ERA scripts ENG 1.16, ReMagic ENG 1.5, Random hero plus, YNewLevelupScreen, Neutral Units PLUS, Conquistador 3 leaders, Usain Bolt, a mofified version of Upgradable Silos, Damage related to health, New Upgrades, and WoG Revised that are the most important mods for me that i can not imagine Era2 without them. So, all mods that are in conflict with them are put in second place and i try to modify them to make them work.
So, Amethyst Upgrades is for me very important because this mod must became standard mods for era. In the past i try to add Heroes Without Limits Creatures into my list but i failed. When i see now your last version of the Amethyst the sun shine into my eyes again.
I have a request for you for Amethyst Upgrades Creatures: can you put Creature Overhaul into your creatures settings? Creature Overhaul creatures abilities are very interesting. I use this creatures settings into my list of mods, but you add many new creatures that are not balanced with Creature Overhaul settings. Creature Overhaul erm delete all creatures experience tables.
The problem with Amethyst Upgrades is complicated because generate strange errors and behavior to the game. To reproduce that strange behavior you must have exact version of my list of mods.
