Move Commodus near the eye, then right-click on the eye, it will move in opposite direction. Dark magic.

Well, you can farm some mithril and experience from dragons cove's crystal dragons (although I almost never get any artifact, I think because crystals are easiest. Faeries and Azures are like always giving), you can't upgrade the spells much however. That's why I need earthquake + clones in most battles, army is too weak to take any hit. But it's not like you need the spell upgrades that much. Prayer's bonus seems to stay if you recast it soon enough, so no point in upgrading further than +1 (will do of course, but money is not so cheap these days), bless bonus is nice. Precision and Forgetfulness are not needed, and I don't get why I would invest in frenzy (frenzy doesn't work: The attack increase doesn't do anything, but why would I reduce my troops health? For regeneration purposes?). Damage spells are not that urgent either, at the current time magic arrow is sufficient to empty CB's...earthquake would be suicide to upgrade: I need it to destroy towers while keeping walls healthy...

Mithril is common however: I have 400 left for investment and bought everything but haste, poison, no retal, implosion, level 1 immunity and fear (I think). I didn't upgrade any stats but efreet speed +4 (again, I think). And soon I'm going to get special levels bonuses: Rion and Commodus are at ~85, Valeska and Ivor are at ~40. I'll try to finish the map without demon usage for challenge purposes

One change I would suggest: Adding two-way monoliths near Sorsha and heroes on Ajit Island, getting them away from there early needs extremely wise usage of Rion, as he is the only one able to learn scholar at that time (doesn't apply to Sorsha, but her island has nearly no fights).

PS: What is for sure: Once I'm finished with MoS, I'll try MoW and MoE. They both sound much more fun than MoS (MoS I always have to move secondaries to gatehouses etc. in a very good way to enable to Commodus to move on quickly. But It is always almost possible to kill one enemy every 1-2 days. However, it is very tedious...). MoE can be played extremely quickly it seems (using better slow, high damage spells and - best - shrines), and MoW just has got the money I like this map...

Frenzy has special effect: it halves the HP of the defender, not attacker. It is very helpful in latest battles, vs the dragons with 5 millions HP for example, one hit, they go down to 2,5. The process take place before you hit, so this is equivalent to you having double army that turn.

I can't add monoliths, any additional object is making the map very unstable. I already patched it to accept more than 35000 objects, but is not working great.

Frankly, I don't think it is possible. The last fight, you can't use magic at all. It is about pure fight power. Only demons can achieve that. 10k demons are much better than 2000 devils, much more damage inflicted. Then there are 2 fights against necros, on cursed land. You will see.

but demons require tremendous mithril quantities to upgrade to decent power. In my games, once I win against Wystan, I stop investing in devils and start put every mithril bar in demons. Probably you will try another way, but wasn't tested

That makes sense, I thought it was only so you could resurrect your fallen demons quicker... Then it is a good spell.

What makes everything even harder: All the good spells (weakness, curse) are solo-target! In a fight like the one against Wystan, I would like to try to just tank all his arrows, but what's the use of one weakened titan if there are 2 more to annihilate you?

This was, in relation to Wystan, a cakewalk:

I tried to block his lower shooter, but the behemot always went out when doing that. So, cast forgetfulness, then air shield, then prayer. Then resurrect shooters. Use your clones to create a wall (for looks and to make sure ), then use buffs + frenzy to kill behemots while enchanters still have shots left. Then kill remains...

Arena monolith is just behind the stronghold. I don't recall if it gives resources before we unlock spoils of war though. But it gives tons of them.

ok, then it will give them after spoils of war bonus. For now it just gives a few mithril, depends on the difficulty of the fight. I think only MoS and MoE can fight every day arena.

61, I guess I could go to around 70, but I see no reason to upgrade spells like magic arrow until I'm able to get water bonus. I mostly upgrade prayer/bless, frenzy and resurrection

Funny thing: If HD + is enabled, you get different battlefields than you do normally. I got one with a big obstacle in the middle, without I got a much better one with a medium sized in the upper left corner...(in arena)

I never used HD mod except for taking nice bigger screens, so I don't know for sure what are the problems with wog. But I know is not 100% compatible, for example my scripts in conquistador mod which activate custom mouse icons have no effect when in HD, it blocks them.

Maybe it's only me, but I always had big fun to open a map in editor before playing and looking how is done in detail, then imagine a strategy before loading map. I mean, there is no fun for a mapmaker to place all things at the end of a road, some will be less obvious and will require a few minutes to find, a small price for having a bit less horizontal maps.

I have people asking me 10 times in a row "where is the monster required by this quest guard". They wait my answer for 10 days sometimes. If you open the editor and click on the quest guard, it will tell the monster coordinates...

And you can always use ctrl + f to find monolith connections etc.

Looking at the map in the map editor is probably the best thing about a map, but in this map, you also have to play it, because all points of interest are labeled "object" or even "nothing"...

However, I also respect players who want to play the map blind
