I totally agree with you. It is not only about making a fool out of himself, but I guess we both agree that his behaviour (implying that he is a member of the HotA Crew and being proud of receiving words of gratitude for a thing he did not make) is just disgusting. 
I know that I might told it in a harsh way, but there are borders of jokes and in my oppinion they were exceeded...

No, we are not. Only rus and eng. All other versions are made by local communities (I've heard even about Chinese one 0_o)

Ok, sorry about the other false info I spreaded. But I'd really like to translate in RO (Romanian), because many of my friends love HotA, but I have to translate for them. It shall easyer to translate, so they won't need me. And I guess there are WAY MORE peoples awaiting this damn translate. Please, allow me ^_^

As much as I love HotA, can anybody tell me how to get the old pikemen/halbardiers and orcs/orcs chieftains back, cause I really don't like the new ones. For people not used to modding, maybe you could have a version of HotA with the original ctreatures? Does the HotA crew have plans to change other creatures appearance and/or sound?, cause I am not really a fan of that...

Theoretically you must use program MMArchive and delete new DEF files of creatures from HOTA lod. For icons it's more complex.

Yeah, we ... kinda noticed that  . You're trying so hard to be "one of the bunch" and fit in, that you're pushing yourself beyond the fringes instead .
You remind me of a rash energetic youngling who tries too hard to be one of the group, yet fails to see what it takes to be a real part of it. That's no criticism, you just need a few more years to get jaded and understand - we all had to, at one point or another .

Thank you Macron. Wish there was an easier solution though, as I don't know anything about modding.

Use the ResEdit program, delete the older png, jpg or whatever was it (from the HotA.lod), and add the other one (from the Sprite.lod) to HotA.lod
No hard job, it is not needed to be a modder .
But really... Why do you want other textures for the pikemen and orcs ?
They're really awsome, and like them.

Please, please: stop giving advices when you are clueless. What jpg, png, replacing a creature graphics needs extracting at least 4 defs then reordering the frames.

I certainly respect that you like the old sprites better at the moment, but out of experience then I'd recommend that you wait a while to act because sometimes changes can just take a while getting used to at first. All I'm really saying is that there's really no need to rush based on an initial impression, right? And if you still feel the same after a couple of months then you can decide to make the necessary modifications, if you truly think it's worth the bother.
Anyhow, a long time ago I successfully replaced the now previous HotA versions of the orc/pikeman with the SoD counterparts, but that was even before the new idle animation feature was introduced, so I'm not sure the result would even be worth the effort today (if no idle animation). I'll retrain from giving you any hints to the replacement process in this particular thread because that might be kinda disrespectful towards the crew, but I might be able to give you a few hints (but not a step-by-step) if you PM me.

This is actually personal preference. Whatever your opinion may be, that's not what the other person thinks and he's asking advice on how to return to the original one. Just because you tell him they're awesome doesn't magically make them awesome for him, too. In fact, it may come across as condescending, where you belittle his opinion on the matter in favor of your own - placing your own opinion above his.

That's certainly true, but if possible then I'd recommend dropping a few statements as to why the classic sprites are better than the new ones, because it might prove helpful to the crew. But it can be hard to make an impression tangible with words, I know.

you don't need any archiver to replace graphics.
Just install HD mod. There'll be a foldier "HD data" (or something like that) in the main H3 directory. In this foldier there are warious graphics for HD interface. Now you simply drag'n'drop files of old creatures (something like pikeman.def, pikeman4map.def pikeman big portrait.pcx, pikeman small portrait. pcx).
When you launch the game in HD mode, it'll use files from HD data prior to standart lods.
