Do people even bother to read? It was clarified that Steel Golems will be added to GOLEM Factory.

Hi.

I'm wondering about Estates change, doesn't that make gold specialists obsolete (minus Leena that have both)? Because before patch on smaller maps it was more beneficial to hire gold specialist over estates specialist, since most of the maps allow you to have not-main heroes at around level 2 or 3 due to monoliths, which gave you fair chance you will end up with estates level 1 or 2, giving you less gold than a specialist (and by extension that was kinda risk-reward thing), but now no matter what you will end up with a guaranteed 250 gpt from youe non-combat hero, with high possibility of making it 500, if not 1000. And won't that make Lord Haart as a main hero especially strong on bigger maps?

Can we expect a nerf to estates, buff to gold specialization or outright removal of specializing in gold (and by extension Caitlin, Jenova, Aine, Octavia, Clavius, Damacon, Gelare, Grindan and Leena get new specializations) in the near future?

Also, about not changing original units, weren't it hinted at that  Conflux will be getting overall rebalance in the future? Didn't that meant units as well?

And one more thing, I've got Avira, it took control over my PC (I'm unable to shut it off or uninstall, system doesn't allow that - I guess that could be called taking control over PC) and it automatically blocks the map editor, so I'm wondering, anyone could give me hints what to do with that, which woulnd't involve system reinstalation?

[+] The percentage for the Logistics secondary skill has been reduced to 5/10/20%, the effect of the Equestrian's Gloves, to 200, and of Boots of Speed, to 400


Yesterday during the summary of the HotA patch 1.6.0  by the community, Tyranuxus (Polish H3 Champion 2019) said that in his opinion  these Logistics nerfs are actually a buff for Castle town.

In my opinion it makes a lot of sense... Everything because of Stables which still gives visiting hero +400 movement points so in the fact are equal now to Boots of Speed. In consequence each Castle hero after visiting Stables is equipped in  Boots of Speed to the end of the week.

Analogical situation is about object Stables on the map.
About this object is another problem that RNG value and frequency are still the same but like we see rank of this object is now definitely higher.


P.S.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm fully support all of these secondary skills changes but maybe in this case Stables should be balanced too.

Nope, it was stated "Factory" not "Golem Factory".... In case of Factory this could only mean the town "Factory"... thats why I'm askin. Even if logic dictates its the "Golem Factory" -> rest is too repetetive anyway.

Since people are discussing the changes to Secondary Skills here...
Am I the only one who feels Diplomacy was over nerfed? I mean, ok to always have to pay for joiners, ok to only get half of the stacks but to pay twice their cost seams to me quite a bad investment. Maybe if you just took an Utopia and don't have enough troops in town to spend the money on but an Archangel or a Titan isn't worth 10.000 gold nor an Azure 60.000.
I remember to play like this (when things were going pretty well), get three heroes with Diplomacy, the first one I had with giants, angels, firebirds and maybe some less useful powerstack to make them strong. The second I would have with troops from my original town and some others I was particularly interested on like Sharpshooters, Enchanters or Efreet Sultans. The third one I would use to get all the useless free joiners to sell in a Freelancers Guild, so I would get enough money to hire the ones that wouldn't join the first guy for free. Ok that I would end up completely overpowered but I would still always be trading resources for gold just to buy and upgrade his joiners.
Can't imagine how this new set up can be helpful.  

P.S. I know settings are customizable but at least the default seams to me out of balance.

Hi,
I'm playing the campaign. On mission 3 (shores of hell) of campaign 2, the game crashes whenever I open my heroes character sheet. Their skills are gibberish, the icons are missing. Is there any workaround? I'm playing with HD mod.

Did you play the entire campaign in 1.6.0, or did you start it still in 1.5.4? If it's the latter, then which mission were you playing when you installed the update?

Indeed I started a couple of days ago in 1.5.4 and I updated yesterday as the launcher requested. Was I wrong?

The update occurred during C2M2 or Evenmorn mission. I could finish the mission after the update with no apparent bug.

On C2M3 which I reached today, my heroes Jeremy and Casnetra have been imported correctly, it's Bidley (from C2M1 in 1.5.4) which ios glitched. He has no skill, all I see is Diplomacy icons, (null) skill in the tooltip, and it crashes the game as soon as I look at him.

Damn I hope it's not broken because this Evenmorn mission was SO HARD haha, I had to restart it a ton of times...

If you have a savegame made before you ended the 2nd mission, then you can try rolling back to 1.5.4, ending the mission in it, then starting the 3rd mission, saving the game and updating to 1.6.0 after that. If you don't - then oops, looks like bad news. We're looking into it, but even after the upcoming bugfix, your current savegame from mission 3 will likely still be corrupt.

Is it very easy to modify HotA to undo all of the nerfs and removal of vanilla content? The new unique additions by HotA look nice but I don't care for making unplayable a dozen artifacts, heroes, and skills.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work.
With the 1.5.4 rollback, the 1.6.0 saves (although still present in the directory) are no more available in the save list ingame, which is unsurprising I guess.

The only saves from the mission 2 made on 1.5.4 that I have are crappy saves from former failed attempts.

Jesus, it's so ironic. I have never struggled thta much to finish a mission and now that I nailed it, the save is corrupt... If anyone reads this and has a savegame at the end of C2M2, please send it!

Just install the 1.5.3 version back and you are ready to go !

Just install the 1.5.3 version back and you are ready to go !

I've got 1.4.2, the nerfing and targeted elimination of original game content was happening earlier, like with the Necropolis holocaust. It would be nice if it was somewhat easy (like, no dll hex editing and reprogramming) to modify current HotA to remove all of the subjective multiplayer enforced changes to the singleplayer game.

There is no easier ways than what you can find in the "How to edit HotA" thread.

For the HotA makers it is "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." So why would they provide easier ways?
They want a fixed "set of rules" for MP gaming.
