Hey,
I am quite curious why do you that's a problem? Hota doesn't change the game so any experienced heroes3 player should do just fine.
Do you think if Hota campaigns were available with the original Heroes 3 gameplay, it would be easier?

I didn't mean experienced players, as they will sooner or later be able to beat the Hota campaigns. I meant that from inexperienced players' point of view, the Hota campaigns could as well not exist - yes, they can play them, but if they cannot beat them, the campaign mode isn't exactly currently "playable" for them. Eventually, later when the old campaigns are being released, the new players are given the chance to play at least some campaigns in Hota enviroment.
Imo there's nothing wrong there being hard campaigns, especially when those are made way over ten years after the game's release. It's actually normal that mods may drastically increase the difficulty, as pretty much only hardcore players will try to search for them. Look no further than Kaizo Mario for example.

One other problem about the HotA campaign that I've found: Some maps have passages actually blocked off by doodads (i.e. the final map of the campaign). This is very annoying and may have been unintended, so the designers might want to go back to these maps, type in the "nwcnebuchadnezzar" cheat, and then make sure their heroes can go through all the passages properly.

I guess they polish the animations some more, coatl and golem are very well done but you see big differences to the other models in case of animation.

Are the gunslingers a species of giants? Because for a human unit they seem rather tall.

They are just tall Ram Ranch bois.
Edit: HoMM3 scaling, don't bother with it. Titans are 20+ metres tall anyway. Does anyone say they are too small? No. Same for the Gunslingers. The HotA team possibly tried more sizes for the render, and they chose this size since it was optimal.

While there are enough shooters in the town, I always thought Flame Throwers were ranged units of some kind. It's what makes sense to me...

Fire can hardly be made into projectiles, especially with their technology.
@Liso1
I mean, that's Factory faction, aka Ram Ranch, right?

It really helps to watch that trailer at 0,5 speed. These are some smaller details what I could gather by looking it up few times.
Creatures:
Halfling upgrades are called as Halfling Grenadiers.
Halflings have the original stats + the original luck ability as we already knew.
Unupgraded centipedes are being called as Sandworms, and their upgrades are named as Olgoi Khorkois
Unupgraded Sandworms have the stats of 11 att, 12 def 11-15 dmg and 60 hp and 8 speed, so they seem to be somewhat comperable to rocs, with slightly less attack, but more bit more defence and speed.
Gunslingers have 17 att, 12 def, 20-24 dmg, 60 hp, 7 speed and 16 shots. They also come with the Quick shot ability, as they're once per round capable of shooting before they're being targeted with a ranged attack. Compared to the the vanilla cyclopses, these guys seem to be quite a lot better.
The resource needed to get Couatls is crystal.
Heroes:
Jangaard has Scouting speciality, and he starts with Archery + Scouting
Agar is a Sandworm specialists, and probably starts with Logistics + Pathfinding.
Henrietta is a Halfling specialist, and very likely starts with Pathfinding + Archery.
Interrestingly, as we can see the skills, the rumoured "racial ability" seems to be not generated by the heroes, but perhaps it's somehow accesiable from the town itself.
Other:
There is yet seen building guarded by Air elementals at the end of the video. It's likely a mechanic or dreadnought dwelling.

That's pretty cool and we learned the stats and abilities of Gunslingers.
Factory seems to me like another offense oriented town, like Cove.
Edit: Oh nice Hourglass, looks like you took an even better look.

Dang, I never imagined the worms to be that strong. I guess Ram Ranch is truly BALANCED after all, having everything needed for OPness.
Also, offensive faction/tactics are usually > average > defensive due to fast and aggressive expansion because baiting and stacks of 1 tactics.
You need Mercury for Big Beefs, btw.

Something weird about Agar, he is an Artificer, but starts with Pathfinding and Logistics. Magic heroes always starts with Wisdom except Necromancers.
