It's Fortress theme from H3... or main theme from MM6. Either way, no placing it to Auto Play, might give those "marketing experts" new strategies to force ads on us.

Being able to change some secondary colors is a neat idea, as long as it can be turned off. I prefer my wyverns to not be striped like a where's Waldo shirt that looks absolutely ridiculous.

If I read correctly, people will have to install the base game at path, whose size equals the sum to nearly 25 Gigabytes? That's waaaay too high for such a game.

It's in Herry's post, the one that I quoted. He has embedded a YouTube player with dimensions of 0x0 in his post. So you don't see it, but since he also put it on autoplay, it will start automatically as soon as this page is loaded.

He replaced Inferno by Fortress now, but that doesn't make it any less intrusive.

Totally agree, the map editor also looks like a nice tool to create long singleplay scenarios, and heroes will definitely go beyond level 30/40 if you envision epic adventure.

I also agree on what you say about battle sites, IMO the game is severely lacking of these.

Nope. They can't be forced into melee.

Replying to your previous post, as I understand it, the complete game size will be around 13 gigs. They were referring to retail copy owners who would need to get a 12 gig patch to get them up to speed with the final release version.

Actually Limbic already explained in some past twitch that classic level cap is 30 so they used it(side-note:their idea of classic is h6). And besides, they've probably calculated that 95% players play with easiest difficulty so it will take forever to get there if it's even possible. Of course if you play hard/heroic you will be hitting 30 around the end of month 2 based on both betas...

yes but it is so easy to implement. Write a function to get the values of the next 70 levels and fill in the damn XP table. Let`s rant. We want epic adventures. We don`t need level cap.

@TD, no please, please listen to their hilarious answer.

Q: Why there is level cap at level 30 ?

A: It is very hard to reach level 30.

You got it right. That's a feature inspired by almighty Starcraft and Warcraft, as Erwan himself admitted.

Is it that hard to just reconsider the approach, rather than ignore the whole genre?

Now I ask - what are they really trying to accomplish? All that gold that was spent, why not saving it for one amazing Heroes game? This is just splitting hairs to get more money out of consumers. The gaming industry does not work this way and never will. People want to buy games to enjoy them, to experience their "inner self", likely even learn some things from it about life, not just to be amazed by those graphics. Too many fallacies.

And how much was learned? Very little - starting to ignore Heroes V and even retcon it, sending the Black Hole company into bankrupcy and ignore the people's feedback. This has greed written all over it - I know it, you know it and everyone else knows it. Especially with that Shadow Council site; while good in theory, the way the site is being utilized is so wrong. Even the votes have split the fanbase into pieces, as if it wasn't enough there are still Enroth-Ashan debates, resulting in nothingness.

And now this Erwan person starts to inserting his pipe dreams of Warcraft? Who has even given the approval of such an action?

Games nowadays strive for more, and Heroes, as it seems, takes a step forward and two steps back. How else can it be explained that we got a random system that many are disliking it? Or certain creature designs, some of which are just re-used? Games change, as do the time and money needed to develop them and that has to be crystal-clear for everyone - including Ubisoft, who seems to have lent the Might and Magic dev team too little, else they wouldn't be in the position to claim they don't have money, right?

This comment I made - it just makes me furious that the devs claim they know what the players want, then take a turn into a different direction, which only a minority follows. While we leave feedback, which is branded only as subjective, personal opinion. And what opinion do the devs have, objective, then? Do they? Are they the "everknowing gods, who cannot fail and know what they are doing"? Or is it just that we are "simple peasantry, who know nothing about game development and are as educated as a hollow rock"?

You would think that after H6 and the purple dungeon and all, they would know better. They were doing so well with the lineup colors until the very end when they buthcered it all again They even said they will  tone dont the color identification of the units...




The army colours looked nice. There's nothing wrong with the player colour affecting units, it gives them more identity. I see nothing wrong with having purple liches if you choose a purple player colour. It was one of the nicest new additions in the stream actually, in my opinion.
