The dragon has too many toes ... really, is that the most constructive topic we can bring up at this point?

Ok, must have been some really dramatic improvements to the game since I last checked in, then, if those are the biggest issues remaining.

Given the changes that are happening to the skill system, does that mean certain heroes aren't "worthless" anymore? Before, certain heroes with "start with X skill rank and Y skill from the get-go" seemed absolutely worthless compared to others, such as Leadership boosters or spawning extra troops. If skills can truly be randomized, does that not make starting with a specific skill assured sound notably better than "slightly ahead of the curve for my preset class"?

well, i mean, I AM the one occupying several pages complaining about the pedipalp-less "spiders" so... yes?
FFS, choose between bat or Pterosaur wings, not both at the same time.

Not toes but fingers. Besides, it has too few toes (4 for each foot.)

I don 't see how things will be interesting: Offense, Defense and then the game loses its purpose. Great design.

No, just different. It's just that Emerald Dragon had more notable differences than, say, the white Abbot robes.

Something that hit me the other day is just how wonky the timescale has become with Heroes VII. Okay, we know H5 takes place after H6 and H7 chronologically, right? And technically, H6 takes place before H7... but does it? Some of the campaigns take place years before H6, while others take place long after Shades of Darkness, and only a sliver of the game itself takes place in the "present" of Ivan's ascension. What really makes this loopy is how the Haven campaign takes place in the distant past, yet the new Guardian unit is from the "present", an aftershock of H6's Sanctuary campaign... despite taking place BEFORE the H6 storyline. Throw in Trial by Fire, which is going to take place after H7 proper...
