Not sure what you mean, but it's prime and not dark here for Haven. I think all heroes will be able to use all spells they obtain from 1st to 2nd like in H5 and before, 3rd and up need mag skills...apart from maybe one spell range like dark for Haven that they don't get...
On the other post, I hope blood and tears won't return....

I'm not sure since Haste has the same color as the last icon, I'd say it's Prime Magic.
If it so then why they just didn't took frame from Heroes 6? Like they did it for other spells.

Or maybe it's hero's unique ability.

I have explained in the previous page, no wonder you have missed with so many posts going on now
In short, I mistook Dark with Prime, and Elvin post gives the idea that in H7 most heroes classes won't be able to access to all magic schools (in case of Haven: Dark).
Hope it's clear now

Where do you see this? Oh found the fireball in the video, good spot.
If the "6 magic schools" mentioned earlier actually means "7 magic schools but each class can only learn 6" that's even worse, that's just WAY too many magic schools.

Hm, I am still cautiously wary about Heroes VII.
1) The gameplay vid is too scripted. I am not sure that so many functions (catapult attacking enemy units, avalanche, arcane shield and arcane disruption etc) are available in custom map, more so in random map.
2) Battle field is too small. Instead of bigger battle field, they choose to fill the screen with ornaments outside the battle field.
3) Town screen is good, but why do the artists choose to draw the town screen from outside of the town? It is weird when I am entering the town and I am positioned at the outside of the town still. I feel there is a distance between me and the town, unlike previous games where I would be immersed in the town's atmosphere as soon as I am entering it. Even Heroes VI's town screen is somewhat "closer to the inside of the town" than these ones.
Also, Elrath's statue is waaaaaay too big!
4) I don't see any unit abilities. Maybe unit abilities are not developed yet?
5) I notice that the Swordmaster and Horseman are moving twice in one turn?
6) Somehow, I feel that Erwan is ... un-enthusiastic enough for the game. He seems at loss about the game, what Heroes truly is and what fans are expecting in a Heroes game. I get the totally different vibe from other, more enthusiastic devs such as Bioware's Dragon Age team that seems to know about their game and love it.

Totally agree. I much preferred the take where the town is oriented towards the player, it's you who's playing the game after all. This weird angle just makes it less appealing to me.

Erwan's probably busy getting a tan on a beach and banging hot chicks, sometimes bought sometimes not, not playing Heroes.

to be honest with you, I think he is just using MM/Heroes as a vehicle for his Ashan fanfic world and has no real interest in the substance of the series

Not gonna lie. I am gonna miss the epicness that is the 3D town screens in 5.
Here's a question. Would anyone here actually like alternate upgrades to make a comeback?

Any ideas or news on the system requirements?
That video looks a little too good, I can already picture the camera having an hard time scrolling through all that clutter.
Is this new engine good and optimized?

So, I have been playing H7 with my bro since #1 came out. After being a lurker here since befor H5 I signed up an accnt so I could ask 1 question. Will there not be any real Multiplayer aside from LAN and Hotseat.
My brother and I grew up and live 500 miles apart I can't really fathom not playing it with him..
What you guys think?

Aaalrighty, just watched the IGN video and have to say that the game looks great!
1) The adventure map looks really magical and beautiful, and also interactive, just what I wanted.
2) Town screen are great, similar to H6 post patch ones, but even better. Love the removal of color coding..
3) Spell book has returned and spells seem to be varied, also the dispel spell works on the adventure level.
4) Battle screen is more tactical, maps are bigger and have obstructions.
5) Battle animations are great, too! Not too intricate like in Heroes 6 but sufficient - loved the Djinn and Titan death animation.
6) Music is beautiful
Overall its hard to be very optimistic knowing the constraints of Limbic size and budget, and also a somewhat disappointing Heroes 6 to say the least, but I feel that this game has potential to be a legend.

I don't really like the town screens, there are almost only the special buildings and just a few background buildings like, where do the people live? that's no town! H6 was the same and maybe H4, too, don't remember right now. Just think back to H3's townscreens, they had alot of small houses all over the place and got even more when you upgraded the castle, as it would be only natural.. Or just remember H5 Heaven town screen, now that was a massive city with thousands of houses. Now it feels like a big castle and nothing more :/
