Ahh, Heroes of Might and Magic Online. Good concept arts, not so good game.
Shut down in same time when Ubisoft announcent Heroes Online.

I think they were. I think they're worth bringing forth just to give some perspective as to what's possible in terms of 2D town screens.

Since Alcibiades (re)started the topic, I still believe no 2D town screen beats these ones...
Now I have an urgent need to play the game one more time.

I think they should try 3D town screens, from a 2D perspective (i.e. you can't rotate).

They were a big fail in terms of functionality.
Also, H2/H3 town themes are way better

This time I hope Ubisoft won't rush. Heroes VI was with numerous bugs because of that.
The Unreal 3 Engine is widely acclaimed game engine so I have high expectations for Heroes VII. As I saw from the demo, the graphics are good but nothing spectacular and the hero looks far bigger than the buildings but it is not big deal. This isn't the final product, so no worries.
As for the creatures, they look amazing. I love the new Heaven appearance and I am very happy for the comeback of Academy. Cabirs look so cute and the Rakshasas look awesome.
For the 6th faction I want a contest between Dungeon and Sanctuary. I like Inferno but demons are responsible for the massacre of the royal house. At least for me, a demon can't be adviser to a duke who is fighting for the throne but everything is possible, we shall see soon.
