As much as I like the idea of the Blood Monster due to its description, the artwork is... underwhelming.
His claws aren't all that big, still has this ridiculously long hair, still has the pretty boy face, has even more spiky armor than the others in the vote, and even though it has "abandoned the pretense of aristocracy", it has a big billowing cloth around its legs, the big collar around its neck, and in an armored get up. So much for "bloodlust with feral abandon."
It's not H3 Nosferatu, that's for certain.
Really, there isn't much differences between any of these, beyond either having a sword, or being a girl.
The worst part is that due to these lack of differences, I'd almost vote for Vampire Knight full stop since they really ALL are still a Vampire knight anyway, and what would be the point? Only I know it wouldn't get anywhere near the votes needed to win. So it's down to the girl or the claws at this point.
And I voted claws, but on the official blog I could go back to the girl, it doesn't really matter much to me.
This vote doesn't really mean much, we still get an armored vamp. Now, I like armored vamps, but this vote could have truly been a real contest between swords, with boobs or otherwise, versus the Nosferatu style, both of which I like, but, really, we will still get an armored vampire any which way. I don't mind the outcome one bit.

They do wear iron claw-glowes tho ... apparently? Blood "monster" is not completly witouth weapons.
Vampires have no business fighting in open field battles either. They are supposed to skulk in shadows, and attack defenceless sleeping girls at night, while sleeping during the day. If they meet a warrior their plan is to transform into bat and retreat to their coffin, where they would regain their strenght...
If you DO put them in battle tho ... yes sword is much superior to iron gauntlets. Also, what part of the sword does diminish the Vampire's traits?  . Yes none.
It like saying Warewolf is not supposed to wear sporting shorts. Because we all know, tr00 warewolf wears jeans ... Clothing or equipment or items he's carrying has nothing to do with him being Warewolf.

Hmmm well it all depends on context and type of werewolf. Warewolf has paws or in some cases is completly transformed into wolf. He is unable to use much weapons at that point ... But, in his human form ... why not? It's not even something new.
I have seen wolf-man using laser gun so ... yeah. 
Vampire with rapier? sure. Why not? from my point of view, Vampire with sword is not silly ... sword design however ... that's silly. But that goes for most swords of H7 units, so nothing new

Being a white wolf nerd, I like the blood monster. It's a more elegant design to just have your unit be a monstrous blood drinking man than just an undead knight/ girl knight who is also a vampire.
Also, nosferatu vampires have been going out of vogue recently, while they're the coolest ones.

Dnd dragons could use swords when they feel their opponent is too feeble to face their scalier, flightier versions. Sadly enough, they just look like humans then.
Anyway, decadent nobility vampire is probably a bit overdone. Let's go old school with the powerful savage vampires. You can even make decadent vampire heroes that have an in-game model with a sword or a staff, for your tragic vampire campaign hero. The rank and file vampires as actual monsters is cooler than rank and file vampires being fencers, though.

Not realy, since those creatures are far more animalistic, than Vampire lol. Vampire diferes from human very little. It all depends how human-like they are.

One of the key components that makes a Vampire a Vampire in my eyes is the ability to drink its victim's blood. Last time I checked, a Sword wasn't an extension of a Vampire's mouth.
I'm fine with a Vampire wielding a sword, but then either get rid of the life drain ability (as it's then no more than a swordsman after all) or make it look like he's drinking his victim's blood after gutting it with his sword.
