What I gather from your post is you cannot run the installer.

Possibly you have to download it again because the file got corrupted or
you can try running it as administrator or in compatibility mode for your operating system.

Maps is the right folder, it should be a .h5m file. did you unpack it? make sure 'show multiplayer maps' is on in custom game menu.

exactly my thoughts, and yes, I can cannot run the installer.

I tried downloading it in full again, but the same effect was there. I'll try compatibility mode next though

Found out what the problem was and fixed it..anyway im playing this mod and i found out that titan can no longer shoot lighitning from his hand only call lighting which is pretty snowty. Was it done for balance or...because to devoid such a classic and unique ability seems wrong.

Why is one of the Titan Upgrades not a shooter?

First of all it is still a shooter, but it shoots with 'call lightning', which is stronger than it was in TOE, but mostly weaker than the regular shot (not always). From a mathematical standpoint there was no reason for titans to be in the TOE at all, since storm titans were exactly the same, but better since their ability was tactically more flexible. So now you have to tactical choice between a strong titan with a weak shot or a relatively weak titan with a strong shot.

That storm ability in tote was really overrated. It dealt 10 dmg and 1% dmg reduction per storm titan. If your stack has 10 storm titans thats 100 dmg + 10% dmg reduction. It was clearly better to use titans shooting attack, as it was dealing a lot more dmg than that (thus reducing the enemies dmg more) also the storm ability didnt benefit from hero att/def, mini artifacts and luck.
Example - you have havez lvl 25 with 35 knowledge lvl 3 mini arts that provide att, initiative and defence to your titans. You also have luck skill or some arts that provide luck. What is better ? To shoot opponents arcane archers with your high attack titans with a possibility of a lucky shot, or to use storm caller ability and deal 100 dmg + 10% ranged dmg reduction ?

They should just make a huge warning pop up when you are about to upgrade giants to titans. Something like ''WARNING, THIS UNIT NO LONGER SHOTS'' people would just take the other one. It would not ruin games (like it did mine :I).

This doesn't change anything to the redundancy of titans in TOE, the call storm ability is still way better than the not-buffed call lightning.
The philosophy of H55 is that all upgrades need to be of equal value but also tactically different, otherwise there is no choice, a tactically different unit like a melee walker can also have its strengths boosted by mini artifacts the same way.
This is beside the fact that in h55 call lightning is much more powerful and on various occasions better than the regular shot, and also works when the unit is blocked.
People seem to have a preference for titans because they are cooler looking, because of this the most obvious solution seems to switch their stats and abilities, but unfortunately the storm titan has a special fx that is supposed to fit with the call storm thematically. Another solution might be to make the storm titans look better, which I already tried in the past but lacked the skill to modify the fx color.
At least I hope this clarifies the complexity of the problem.

I mostly select the 'non-shooting' titan. The extra health and damage is useful and call lightning is a versatile ranged attack that can't be blocked.

I agree that the black upgrade is awesome-looking.
But perhaps naming it the Colossus instead will stem the confusion whereby people associate titan with shooter. And then no need to re-arrange stats and abilities.

All people have to do is read the abilities of the two upgrades before investing their gold. MMH5.5 has many changes to creature stats and abilities, so there are cases like this where old TOE knowledge is no longer valid.

There is also the Creaturepedia ingame info page to look through all stats and abilities. It is accessible exactly where you need it: Upgrade Creatures screen, as well as Hill Fort and Creature Info screens.

Maybe let the Titans to just shoot, while storm titans would only have call lightning and to summon storm? I dont know all i know is now i have to march my titans in the battle because call lighting is to weak.
Also, I haven't seen whether or not are you planning on adding new town or new neutral units? Or just redirect me if you have already answered this. By the way, majority of your work is excellent, still havent had a time to test everything but so far so great!

Aaaarghhhh

Clean installation on a second PC.
Plus the hotfix beta 3 etc.
The same setup as in my primary PC. (except the Reshade utility).
Play a couple of days all worked perfect. Yesterday a map froze when A.I. took turn, after a month or so of gameplay.
Try to load just before this turn, still the same.
Start new map, freeze in first A.I. turn.
New map, the same. In the first turn.
What the heck???

I have no clue what this is, if this issue was part of h55, reports would have been all over the place, you could try disabling reshade I guess.

Try garbage collect index.bin and RMGTemp from DATA folder.
Remove any spare maps in map folder if you have such.
Remove any save games from your profile folder.

If that does not help:
- Right click exe -> properties -> disable full screen optimizations
- Disable Windows 10 D.E.P. / it is possible recent windows update to enable the system to have started misscapturing game code/

There are many custom maps that are in fact mods. It's a good habit to maintain all the custom maps you're not playing in another folder.
