This is why taking what people say at face value is an important skill, because our tendency to fill in the blanks in the 21st century world will lead to more problems than it solves.
Nobody said that racism is the only problem, or that it means people should abandon personal initiative, or that white privilege is the only form of privilege, or that it means white people always have easy lives, or anything else. That is all filling in the blanks with assumptions and it's not useful for the conversation. Several people in this thread have read into a subtext that does not exist.

It's apples and oranges to compare Eastern Europe to the USA because they have distinct histories and realities. In terms of income, black people in the USA do have a great advantage over whites in Eastern Europe. In other areas, they do not have advantages. Eastern Europe is generally safer. Eastern Europe has more stable family environments. Eastern Europe doesn't have a criminal justice system that is negatively biased towards white people.
Eastern Europe is also afflicted with Soviet architecture from the 20th century, which is a terrible fashion statement. As a fashionista myself, I can handle and appreciate brutalism in small doses, but somebody needs to bulldoze this monstrosity asap because it makes my eyes bleed if I stare at it longer than 4 seconds:

There is very good reason to believe that the criminal justice is - at minimum - implicitly biased against blacks and latinx. I've already talked about this in the police brutality thread.

Our justice system is allegedly designed to be blind and impartial. It's not. It's racist. This isn't virtual signalling. It's just reality and I don't know what I'm suppose to gain by virtue signalling on a mostly dead internet forum.
It's also prejudiced in favor of cops, because lawyers and cops WORK TOGETHER, which creates a very tenuous situation and conflict of interest anytime a cop is charged with something. The justice system has not dealt with this problem. It has ignored it... hence the inevitable social unrest and riots.

Since when is acknowledging reality synonymous with guilt? These are emotional arguments.
If you're white, there are advantages within the criminal justice system (and other areas). If you're black, there are disadvantages.

@BB, all your article demonstrate is the increased frequency blacks are arrested, searched and convicted. Since they commit 5 times more homicides than whites, I fail to see how that simple statistic will not translate in an increased contact with police, with all the inevitable consequences, including cops abuses and errors.
Solve the increased criminality rate first - by identifying its roots - fatherless families, gang culture, welfare restrictions (no welfare if father at home), individual responsibility being replaced by victim mentality, mob behavior - not the other way, which would mean police should close eyes because the criminal is black.

This has been addressed, and it is not proportional to the rate at which blacks commit crime. Blacks are dealt with more punitively within the criminal justice system compared to whites. The proportionality becomes outrageously skewed when it involves a black male committing a crime against a white female.
As it currently exists, the American criminal justice system is not doing its job if it is reflecting the biases that exist within society.

I've heard that argument, but evidence was not proposed. People say look black is condemned more when having cocaine than a white, yet they forget to mention if there was recidivism and how many times, what quantity, where the drug was sold and such things.
To prove what you claim, you should find and show figures demonstrating that in towns with a black majority, punishments for blacks are more equitable.
