Quote: The main problem with "Adult forum" is simple: you can't verify who is an adult and who is not - any kid can set birth date to 1960.
1960, **** I guess I can't go either.

And when it is created people would just say childish things and will want to come back to the main HC only to find that they have been vanquished and have 7 days to find a castle.

This may have been asked before or not as easy at is seems, but I think this forum would be greatly improved if people's names were automatically listed whenever you quote somebody. I've seen this on lots of other forums and it's pretty convenient

I already suggested this on the previous page, and I don't think I was the first one, either. Needless to say, it hasn't happened yet.

Sometimes I am annoyed with bugs in HC website, so I hope this is right place to post. I have created a list of some most common bugs and some suggestions. Maybe it was mentioned earlier but anyway I hope one day it all will be fixed. The following feedback could be useful for HC programmers.
1)Problem with count of posts/replies. If we have 20 replies, that means we have 21 posts in thread and there should be 2 pages of thread on the forum page, not 1. Similar problem we have when 20 divides count of replies. As a result we could not access to the view last post right from the forum threads page.
Also sometimes we have inverse bug, when we go to page and there are no posts on it
2)Go to your profile, then if you go back to the main page through main logo link, your time options will be reseted. (you will see american time)
3)Standard editing problems - sometimes you can't edit your post, name in the field while editing should be changed.
4)Navigation in the AvatarList and MemberList are too unconvenient. Who don't think so?
5)It is much more convenient to save the date of birth, but not age of user, so user is not forced to reenter his age each year, but it is calculated automatically.
6)Strange situation with lower and uppercases of usernames. Even at the same page the same username near different threads could be written by different way (Kipshacz/kipshacz, DarkShadow/darkshadow or even more peculiar, see image)
7)All know the glitch, when someone post too big image. The suggestion is to change image size when its width is more than some value for example 800px. If someone posts image 1200x600 then display it as resized 800x400.
8)Culture in which time is shown for time of post and time of edit is different:
9)When person A posts in some thread, after that person B posts in same thread and finally person A edits his/her post, then on the forum page will be shown date of edit by person A, but username of person B as last poster of the thread, which is not logical. Information should be either about last post and therefore Person B and date of his/her post, or about the last post/edit and therefore Person A and date of his/her edit.

Moderators should be able to make the original post of a thread able to be modified by its original poster if it is over 1 year old. Some of the threads last quite awhile, especially in the Glade.

Apparently this is not needed. Once a moderator edits it once, apparently it can be modified by the original poster also. Who knew. Yes..I am still learning things.
After testing with Geny, this seems no longer to be the case. I edited it, and he tried to and failed. It Gave him the 'post is over a year old..." bit....so......

Im really not the one to discuss this but...
Ugh Adult forum. It would remove all the fun in the Wastelands. Half the community would sit in these adult forums (and what's going to be different? really? "adults" here can act very childish) while the rest of the forum would die.
Also I don't see the point of adding a "no rules forum". I think it would become a "flame X user" forum and only make people feel bad.
And if its porn then I think most "children" has seen that already...
Something I would like however is a Preview button on our posts. That would be extremly nice when you are uploading pictures etc. I don't think it would be hard to implent either, it already exists on multiple forums.
It would help a lot in events such as the ICTC to have a preview button.

My two cents...
I agree with Xerox (don't flame me!), a preview button would be a useful feature that I feel is long overdue. I occasionally enjoy making posts with a lot of bbcode to spruce up my text, so it would really be nice to have a way to preview your work before submitting it. There's little worse than publishing your beautifully-rendered thoughts before everyone's waiting eyes, only to find that you overlooked a bracketing error and half of the text is in bold. I doubt it would be too extraneous a feature, as it also serves to encourage neater and more responsible posting habits on this site.

There's nothing like getting it right the first time around. And since my intended audience might see my messy post before I have time to correct all the bbcode, it spoils it sometimes. Like that one time: "lol guitarguy must be drunk "
There can be only one Acu.
