B'cuz of u I'm back to my ol civ days
when I used to b stuck to the comp for 2-3hrs playn civ!
Now,b'cuz of u ppl,I downloaded civ2 and now I'm addicted again!Fortunately I dun have time to b at it for more than 1hr.
Oh well,at least I'm enjoing myself

Hey
In the past I play a PC game, but I don't remember the name, this game contains civilizations like starcraft(humans and aliens), is a turn based game, and you must maitain the population happy , of this persons come angry people, and in the battle, you just put your units in the area with enemies, like in civ 3, and after appear a kind of battle replay, but you canīt do anything, just watch how your armies attack the other armies, somebody knows what game is this??

has anyone played Disciples II, was it good entertainment for a few days, or weeks, or just a lame imitation of Heroes?

But playing 2-3 hours straight? LOL Try 2-3 weeks and than u have 'addiction'. Lord knows I did that when I was a student.

Disciples II ... a nice time killer, with nice graphics. Not much strategy involved in fights. Kept me busy for a week or so, somewhere in the 2nd campaign I lost interest though.
In addition to the games mentionned already, I'd like to throw in Master of Orion 2 and Jagged Alliance (1/DG/2). MoO3 will be out soon, let's hope it's good
EDIT: reading TEL's initial post... Etherlords II ??? Didn't know there is a second part (doubt it actually ), I bought the first one a year ago and happened to like it. Might even try it online soon.
EDIT#2: bah, now I'm confused. Been to an official Etherlord site and it shows a "Etherlords II" logo. Funny thing is that the results of an Etherlords online tournament are posted there also. 3rd place winner: Alex Killer .. hehe

I'm currently gettin my ass kicked by vikings and egiptians
My damn allies are a bunch of idiots
A word of advice:never ver rely on allies and never ever declare war on their enemies!Hell,I tried to help the damn Persians,my allies,fight the egiptians,I gave them some technology and asked gold in return,so later they asked me to declare war on the vikings.I thought:what the hell,I had ceased fire with egiptians and I thougth together me and my ally should defeat the vikings.
now those ************* persians are in peace with both of them and I am against them both alone!The vikings are the most powerful,they're twice as powerful as I!

Does none of you remember the 2nd best TBG after Heroes3?
Itīs named INCUBATION from the Battle isle series, i think it was number 4.
And the following Add-on was really tough to play!

Sure, I know Incubation - and it's great. But since you mentionned it already, I didn't repeat 
I finished the game, also bought the add-on, but didn't get to play it yet. People say it's tougher though, so might be interesting when my isp lets me down next time, lol.

Haile, I got MoO3 over the weekend.
I haven't cracked it open yet as I was putting the finishing touches on IceWind Dale II.
I'll probably take a look at it this weekend.

lol, actually I'm never sure when you foos are serious, but in case you are, take a look at the Etherlords box. If you detect a "II" (two) on it, I'll spend you a beer.
It ain't out yet and if you took the time to read the forums (follow the link you posted), you'd see.
Maybe you downloaded a beta version or something, but if you bought it in a store, it is part one

rouge and rougelike games could certainly be considered turnbased!
like
Moria, Angband, Nethack.
But offcause its some totally different kind of games!
Anyway I have enjoyed them a lot!
Btw Is it just me or does WARLORDS 4 looks to become exstreme homm like !
