I think it doesn't, because there are other artifacts for that (Boots of Speed etc.) but I'd like to know.

I'm not so sure that's on topic either...
How about what I said before. I like Tazaar, because his armorer specialty is able to make him a hero with incredible defense... which often supports the way I like to play the game.
I think all opinions on hero favorites shouldn't be bashed, because I think all heroes have their purposes. I just wanted to add that, because there's been a lot of threads where conflict of interests kind of ruin the purpose of the topic.

NEway.....the best hero in the game...........apparently this will never be figured out because people have thier own views of the "best hero"........but I guess if we are going by speciality then I would have to say Solymr for the magic side........no other magic hero starts with a fourth level spell like that..........if we r talking might heores.......Crag hack is good in HOMM 3....in WOG Gurnisson is very useful with that ballista and other things I mentioned B4..........
BUT I guess it all comes down to peoples opinions and needs........whatever they feel is the best hero and whoever acomidates them the best should be used!

Why do you preach about wog here, corona? There is a forum dedicated to wog only here.
On-topic. Don´t remember if I said it already in this thread, but I like Orrin very much. At lvl20 he acts like golden bow, disabling the range penalty of archers. If you manage to get artillery, it´s for even more use. Castle has two archers (+ballista) from which marksmen shoot twice. Of course with tower Orrin rocks even more.

Yes I know there is a forum dedicated to WOG Greek-god...super...man.......is my information so useful that I sound like a pastor to u.....well thank u..... I'll take that as a compliment 
All the heroes I have mentioned so far in this thread are in the regular HOMM III version......so dnt criticize me  No one has ever said nething b4 about it.....Im on-topic....so it really shouldn't be and issue should it??......plus the thread title is "Who is your favorite hero in HOMM 3?".......not much of a specification on whether it is reffering to WOG or just HOMM III.....or just Heroes III Complete.........its seems to be a very broad Thread topic to me......but really its beside the point.....
If it will make u happy I'll just talk about regular HOMM III heroes........
I also like Galthran from Necropolis..........u can get your skeletons very strong.........and if u r smart about it u can even get skeleton warriors back each time from the necromancy skill instead of just skeletons.......which is quiet handy

My favorite heroes
yeah,i know that i already said tat Lyonis was the best,but i also have to give some more information.So:
Castle:Lyonis,,because of his prayer,and Sir Mullich,because of his speed bonus.That made my Archangels be faster than the enemy's Pheonixes.Rampart:Kyrre,because of his speed on land.On large or extra large maps.he's reall an atomic bomb.And Coronius,with his Slayer spell,he' really public danger number on one for 7th level crreatures. Necropolis:Moandor,he lasted with his Liches during a siege where i thought he'd lose,and Isra,yeh,sure 10 Skeltons are nothing,but when upgraded and being multiplied to 600 they are really something.Inferno:Xyron,because of his Inferno spell,and Nymus,because of her Pit Fiend specialty.Dungeon:Gunnar,because of his Logistics,and Deemer,because of his Meteor Shower.Stronghold:Traxor,with his Wolf Raiders,and Therek with his haste.Tower:Solymr and Cyra,Fortress:Bron and Vey,Conflux:Labetha and Lacus.

Solmyr or Gelu?
I'm still confuse. If the best means the Strongest, Solmyr is the best (I think TheNordicKing will pay attention to this post). But if the best means the most effectivr, it is Gelu

I think that maybe Solmyr or Orrin or Xeron i think, are maybe the best heroes in Heroes 3.
They have respectable skills.
Slomyr has Chain Lightning, Orrin has Archery, and Xeron I think has Devils or Arch Devils.
These are my suggestions for the best heroes in heroes 3.

Were u talikn bout my message??? or someone's else message??
Solymr is koo....but pretty much dumb to use in the beginning of the game (unless you can get hella spell points quick).......but yea thas just my opinion.....

Tazar is the best of all times.why he is better than mephala or neela ? just because of the creatures he has.swamp town s creatures have low defence but very good dmg.Find bless all see see Tazar...
