Nevermind, I guess any further discussion with you is pointless. But I ought to have known, right?
I have admitted that I am wrong on many occasions before, however ANY kind of argument with you seems to be pointless since instead of saying "oh ya, ths for reminding me about the game with Ghana", you counter everything with "I am ECORIS and I ALWAYS say the last word in any argument".

Calm down Russ. I think Italy played well against Ghana, but I was impressed by Ghana as well. Sure, Ghana should have been awarded a penalty, and therefore Italy's win was a bit lucky.
I agree that Italy haven't played even close to spectacular during their first four matches, and you must excuse if I gave you the impression that I thought they played spectacular football; that was not my intention.
However I feel that other nations have played worse. Crouch's 'ponytail' goal vs Trinidad gave England a win just as lame. And Ukraine played 120 minutes vs Switzerland with only one intention: ending the match in a penalty shootout.
Allow me to apologize for saying: "You obviously didn't see their game vs Ghana." That was a somewhat hurried comment. The win was lucky, but not lame IMO.

However I feel you were being just as arrogant as I was, with comments like:
Quote:
FYI: This is NOT American football where the tackles ARE supposed to be spectacular. I hope that clears things out for you.

Ya, I guess was rude too with my remarks. You've surprised me with your reply, btw. I definitely did not expect that. It is always nice to be surprised in a good way.

In my opinion, it was the best game so far... as exciting as the 1986 and 1990 matches! It's a pity it had to end with shoot outs, though.

brazil vs. france

1st half: boring game. the only half chances were from freekicks and thats not very entertaining. good thing zidane showed some flashes of skill

2nd half: henry scores and the game becomes good. brazil push forward and france counter.

good game. happy to see brazil out

Smells Like 1998 Spirit

Happy to see France on its arguably unstoppable rise to the cup !

They won the "finale before the finale" tonight. Portugal will be dealt with, count on it. So the only potential trouble left will be the finale (if it's against Germany).

Surely not tonight that I'm going to get picked on for being French !

The difference between France and Brazil?

Zidane. Simple as that.

That man pulled the strings of that game from the first whistle. Brazil just didnt have any players who stood out and thats what made the difference.

Portugal have a player like this. Ronaldo, he is spontanious and loves taking on players. He is the Zidane of Portugal. Shoudl be a good match.

Sure Zizou was in top form. But imho it's more the fact that France has a really strong defense and a coherent strategy. Brazil's only "strategy" consisted of blocking Henry (cept when he scored ) and as usual, playing solo. These guys wouldn't know teamwork even if it slapped them in the face (which it did ).

You mean he quit Brazil and joined Portugal ? lmao

If you knew anything about football you would realise i was talking about Cristiano Ronaldo.

Another thing about Brazil. They dont have structure in defence. If you watch the replay of the free kick where Henry scored, it could have been stopped easily.
Brazil were man for man in the little pack outside the box. When the kick was taken all 5 French attackers ran in but only 2 Brazilian defenders went back with them. The other 3 stood on the line. Pure stupidity.

Ech good ridance to Brazil. I don't belive I saw them play good. Except the second half agains Japan, but otherwise they were a mere shadow of themselves.

But if France manages to play like they did against Brazil, they just might win this.

Right now I would like to see the french and especialy Frank Ribery lifting the trophy.

Italy? Ech I lost all favour to them after that horrible penalty aggainst australia.

Portugal? They knocked out england Naah seriously... I just don;t belive that they what it takes, especialy upfront. All glory to Pauleta, but i don't think that that is enough.

Germany? Maybee... They have been performing on a good standart and with the home crowd behind them anything can happen

Rooney already stated, he won´t play with Ronaldo in the same team anymore. Real Madrid already made an offer to ManU for C. Ronaldo, so it looks like he won´t play the Premier league again.
Similar story like the one form the south-korean player Ahn, who scored vs Italy in overtime in 2002 1/4 final. He was kicked out from his italian club in Seria A immediately...
Sounds like "sportsmenship"...
