wow the australia vs brazil game was closer then i imagined.. australia had alot more chances then croatia did and imo brazil were playin much better..

good signs for australia, im starting to believe they will go through, all they need is a draw, and croatia are yet to score in the competition so far if im not mistaken.. Australia are looking very ominous and i question whether croatia have the ability to beat australia.. im not sure they do..

Whatever the result im sure its going to be an interesting game and i cant wait for it, should be a cracker!!

Im very disappointed wid italy, they will go through, im not sure if ghana will be good enuf to win, they are too unpredictable imo..

goals at certain points can change matches.
True, but a team with so good players like Brazil will prevail even though they don't play well. That's what characterises the very best teams; they don't need to show their full potential to win.

And after all Brazil had already scored when Kewell replaced Cahill. I don't really understand why you didn't use them both from the beginning. Was he slightly injured? You had 4 mostly harmless shots that hit the goal, Croatia had 6.

Did you see their game against Ghana? They played very well, and Ghana won 2-0 against the Czechs.
The substitution of Totti weakened Italy's offensive capability a lot and USA did much better than in their first game.

Over: 2,5+ goals occur in match. I thought this was universal, but seems this is greek ...

Edit: However, I will touch this game with a very small amount of money. Offered factors for various results are not good enough. Another interesting idea for betting 1 euro would be to play against Germany ... ... I know Germany has the better team, but things can turn bad unexpectedly quite frequently. However, the overall factor seems quite interesting.

He will . I think you should play Under or even 0-0. A draw would send both teams among the last 16 and both teams' defenses have played quite well while their offensive form has been very disappointing. This is definetely a 0-0 game unless Svenni gives some of the younger players the chance from the start (like Lennon, Jenas etc.).

I really don't know. If England can't win this game, then it has serious troubles as a team. Although it had the points it needed in the previous rounds, their style was just not good enough. It has to prove it can do better. However, I think England hasn't won Sweden in a cup for the last 40 years .... Traditions should break eventually!

Btw, if Germany loses, then this match is going to be a serious laughter / disappointment since both teams would try not face Germany next round...

Luckily I didn't took your advice because ... I had already placed my bets! Anyway, my closest bet yesterday was: Over-Under-Under-Over, where I missed by 1 goal the second match between Costa Rica and Poland.
I hope today Argentina pays off, otherwise I 'll go deeper on my route to the basket!
Seriously now, I'll touch only the following games:
1) Ivory Coast - Serbia & Montenegro: 1
2) Netherlands - Argentina: Over
Moreover, regarding the latter match I 'll place a small bet on the following variation:
Netherlands - Argentina:
Half time: 2
Full time: 2
Goals: Over
Alone this triple-betting has a factor of around 5.5 and if combined with Ivory Coast it has a factor of around 10.5 ... Let's see what's going to happen this evening.

Oh for the love of freaking god!!  I can't stand this bull****!  My team sucks and is the soccer(it's still soccer to us you pansies) equivalent of Katrina & the Waves!  Where is the heart!?  Where is the moxie!?  Why aren't scorers being subbed at the freaking half?!  Why did we have to wait so long for Reyna to be freaking subbed this tournament?!  All he did was suck!

On the other hand, watch out for 2010.  The U.S., tired of getting stomped in a theatre in which we're starting to pay more attention, realizes that home grown talent just isn't the same as talent born in other, preferrably 3rd world and war torn, nations and decides to fleece said nations of this talent with promises of virgins, fruit, cattle, and oh...yeah...freedom.

So that's it for today, Ghana absolutely surprisingly qualifies for the next round, where they'll play Brazil lol , and also Australia after a crazy game in the last minutes draws with Croatia , a draw which is equivalent with a 10-0 win cause aussies go to face Italy in the second round.Btw, did you notice that Simunic became the only player in the world to get 3 yellow cards and after that a red card.Poor old Poll, ageing shows it's signs .I wonder what would've happened if Simunic would've scored or something .

Man im scerwed now. Italy v Australia. i dont really know who to back. I guess ill be leaning more towards my herritage (Italy), but ill be happy with whoever.

Must say i am really proud of the aussies to draw 2-2 with croatia even though we had a dirty **** of a ref who had a bad case of selective vision.

Congratulations to Australia. I guess Kewell doesn't "owe one" any longer . But you got to find some other goalkeeper.
