Mark gave a relieved sigh and smiled back at the nurse. "T-thank you... I'll be sure to tell her and um... ask how she's feeling and stuff... Thank you!" With that he began walking towards Mina's room, and then he remembered what time it is. "Oh. Um... I'll just uh... get some breakfast before I go." He mumbled, smiling apologetically before scurrying off to the cafeteria.

Stacey was slow to rise, but was soon showered and ready for they day. She thought about visiting with Mina, but figured she may be having breakfast at this time. That sounded like a good plan for herself. She would find Mina afterward.

Stacey went for the kitchen, knowing exactly where to go, Mona following behind. After arriving, she looked around for something edible.

Mark:

After some searching, you eventually locate the kitchen—not a cafeteria, but someone does seem to be cooking: a red-haired girl who looks to be around 12-14 with a seven-year-old boy hanging off her ((Pokeball-bearing)) belt. The latter watches fascinated as she beats up a mixture eggs and other less identifiable ingredients. The vaguely-familiar girl you saw talking to Nurse Joy the previous night ((Stacey)) arrives behind you, trailing a Gloom. The little boy sees her come in and waves shyly, to the red-haired girl's brief consternation.

----------------

Stacey:

You trail a boy you remember from the failed Keida attack ((Mark))—difficult not to recognize, as one arm is prosthetic—into the kitchen. Here you find the little boy from the night before hanging off the belt of an older trainer with red hair—presumably his sister?—as she mixes up eggs. He waves shyly at you, to the red-haired girl's visible confusion.

Mark waved to the Gloom-Girl, trying to remember her name for the second time in so many days when his arm gave one last beep and then powered down. The prosthetic flopped to his side and hung limply. He sighed and looked over at the red headed girl and her brother. "So... you guys are making breakfast?"

Stacey waves back to the boy. She heads over to a table and sits. The stove seems to be a little occupied at the moment.

Mark and Stacey:

"So... you guys are making breakfast?"

"Sure we can...just crack these up for me," the red-haired trained pushes a carton of eggs into Mark's hands and points him to a bowl on the countertop.

The little boy, meanwhile, lets go of the girl and comes over to sit next to Stacey.

"Hi!" he says with shy cheerfulness.

Mark took it in his hand and looked for a place to set the carton down so that he could actually crack an egg. "Err..." The counter was good enough. Clumsily, he managed to get the carton open and an egg out without actually breaking any of them (though in the process a fork, plastic bowel for something mysterious and a random super bouncy ball did fall to the floor) and he cracked it open into the bowel. It wasn't the fastest of things. "Um... sorry... other arm is out of commish right now..." He explained with a goofy grin as he cracked the third egg. "I'll, er, be done soon! ... Eventually."

Mark and Stacey:

((Fun fact: there exists a Youtube video on 'how to make an omelet one-handed.' The jury is out on how useful it is though. ))

The red-haired trainer takes her eyes off the little boy long enough to notice Mark's difficulty and, fishing one-handed in a nearby drawer, pulls out a vegetable slicer that can be operated one-handed.

Mark nodded to her gratefully and, after a bit of fumbling, finally got everything set up. "Okay then, so now what do I do?" Art was Mark's forte, not culinary activities.

Mark and Stacey:

Mark is handed the fixings for a fancy omelet (tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms...) and Stacey gets roped into helping prepare the food as well ("I am not your slave, if you want to eat you can help cook!"); not long after everyone is able to sit down and enjoy omelets and toast. While you eat, the little boy chatters happily to the red-head about how the nice lady ((Stacey)) said she was going to find Scruffy for him. The red-head looks surprised at this.

"Really?"

Mark looked at the kid as he ate in nice, blissful silence. Missing pokemon, huh? Maybe he and Mina could work on this too... By gosh, Mark felt proud that he could make a passable omelet. Even if the girl had directed everything, he had still had a hand in its creation!

Mark and Stacey:

((@Alkar: You have ~2 ˝ days left.))

"That sounds serious," the redhead comments while the little boy doodles on his plate with some jam. She pulls out a piece of paper, scribbles on it a little and hands it to you; on it is her name and Pokedex number. "Here. You can call me for a match if you need help un-Shadowing it. Think of it as an advance for looking for my little brother's Pokemon."

Stacey received Trainer Ann's phone number!

The rest of the meal goes by smoothly.

((Now what? ))

Mark waved goodbye to the other people sitting around the table, not really having said anything the entire time while he ate. Didn't seem like his conversation, to be honest. And with that he made his way to Mina's room and knocked politely.

Mina:

Mina, her dreams disturbed as usual by opening doors, woke a little later than the others. Rolling over and looking at the clock informed her it was about 7 AM.

She pulled herself out of bed with a yawn, then took herself off to the bathroom to brush her teeth and get water for the Sitrus Berry, which had sprouted during the night:

The Nurse brought food for Mina and her Pokémon during the Johto trainer's brief absence. Mina let her team out to eat and slurped absently at the tasteless mash she'd been given while she scanned the little seedling, hoping for information. She was rewarded with a readout:

Sitrus:
Growth Time: 32 hours (8 per stage)
Sitrus came from the same family as Oran. It is larger and smoother tasting than Oran.

+10 Dry (Beauty)
+10 Sweet (Cute)
+10 Bitter (Smart)
+10 Sour (Tough)
+20 Feel

A Poffin ingredient. It may be used or held by a Pokémon to heal the user by 30 HP or 30% Max HP (whichever is higher).

From the looks of it, the Sitrus Berry was a good deal more potent than the Oran Berries she'd grown previously, but (and here she double-checked the Pokédex to make sure) it also looked like it was going to take a comparatively longer time to grow. On the bright side, that gave her time to prioritize what to plant next.

About then she heard a knock at the door.

"Come in!" she called.

----------------

Mark:

After you knock, you hear Mina call "Come in!"

Inside, you can see the dark-haired girl standing near the window, her Pokemon scattered around the room ((sans Houndoom)) eating Pokéchow. She herself is cradling a bowl of something mushy in one hand but doesn't seem terribly occupied with eating. She brightens as she sees you. "Hi Mark! Sleep well last night?"

"Oh, guess what I got from the nuuuuuurse~"

"What did you get from the nuuuuuurse?" Mina asked, playing along. "Potions? Money?" Mina wondered if he'd delivered that package they'd gotten from Rieva. "Pokemon?"
