This depends on where you draw the line between sentent creature and a not sentient creatures.
Is it the ability to think? Trees can think too you know. They also have a memory. So why isn't it wrong to chop down trees? If trees can think and have memory why couldn't weed have too? Then eating bread would be just as wrong as eating animals.

I admit that I am wrong for savouring daed things on my plate and the fact that they are sentient differs little.
That video... well, in the beginning they showed a humane death (pin through the skull, only fast poisoning is better). I can't explain the twitches... maybe it's like a chcken without a head (keep running). Anyway, I can't fully argue with you, since there never is a good explanation for murder in my book...
Still, I am someone of principal and the word sentient isn't a good excuse for principles...

Good, then we're on the same page... except that I want to eat meat too.
There's a little something about the human mind... we're experts at blocking things that disturb us...
As long as people don't have to be in the pigfarms/slaughterhouses/whatever, I doubt that any majority of people will ever care.

well, I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be shocked into being a vegetarian... pretty close to somethings I have big issues with...

Potentially very wrong? Sounds like you don't even believe in your own cause if you have to qualify it. It's either wrong or it's not. Besides, who are you to tell anyone what is morally right when it comes to eating habits?

There are a lot of gray areas its not just it is or it isnt, when we dont know for sure whats right and wrong.
I eat meat about once a day for reasons I cant go into right now(unless seriously encouraged), but I gotta say I had some vegetarian "beef" that was just like the real thing. Made of tofu and soy or something like that and it tasted just like chili, or hamburger when I ate those two things.

cooking is as much of an art form as painting and music.

So humans have to get what they want when they want it.. ok case closed. humans want what they want so its moraly ethicly ok to murder beings. Sorry if I sound negative but it wore off on me from somewhere.

People kills each other to get a better life for themselves, why not animals too? Most of those animals we kill, we breed and feed too, exactly for that purpose. They live a better life than most wild ones would. Okay they get a kinda brutal end, but most animals does sometime. It's because of evolution we started eating it after all. It were an alternative to gathering fruits and roots, and they thought it tasted good. It's just these days, when you get everything you want in a shop that you can think that it's "wrong" to kill the animals. Earlier they didn't have a choice, and the tradition sticks with us. I like beef!

I know your intentions. You made it very clear in your first post that you can probably successfully aruge logically against any reason to eat meat. So I'm not questioning you without knowing your intentions.
My statement wasn't negative. I questioned your ability to question others. As to a nerve being struck, I'm made of tougher stuff than that.

Your answers about the same as mine is, just different sides. But only one side doesnt hurt anyone if they are wrong..
And the question wasnt about their intentions, it was about who can name one reason eating meat is ok.

I don't really lose sleep over the morality of eating meet. If I did, I'd probably feel bad I'm killing plants to consume as well.

I named one, find me one why it's not ok  Plus there are many animal omnivores, would that make nature wrong then? The very nature commands animals to eat something to survive be it plan, animal or both.
