- That is something beyond my knowledge. Ok, here's the corridor that leads to the defence chamber. Time to draw their attention on us. Ready, Tael?
The party reached a town. while riding through it, they overheard the latest gossip.
- Did you hear? a whole party of church's militia got wiped out along the way to that accursed fortress!
- By who?
- They say it was the Kingslayer with his party.
- Really? but from what I've heard he usually travels alone.
- Seems not anymore.
- But I saw him riding out of the town at dawn a few days ago. he was alone.
- Probably het met up with his gang in the outskirts of town. the innkeeper said that when he stayed at his establishment, he slew two of the Albearites. Without mercy.
The trio rode to the well
- Excuse me my good man- Said Falrick to a man who poured the water from the well into buckets.- Our horses are thirsty, Can you give them a few buckets?
The man at first wanted to say get lost to them, but after seeing Rebeca's garb his expression changed.
- Right, ofcourse, good sir. no payment needed.
After the horses drank and the party rode out of town Falrick said
- It seems that Domerth is famous for his skills even here milady.
- Looks that way. However, I wonder why did he slew a party sent by the church? It seems to be pretty important in this realm.
- He's like your great father. renounces every faith except our own.
- You're right. I worry woo much.
The party continued to follow the falcon, which would lead them to Domerth.

Tael smiled, this was where he could show what he were able to. He unsheathed both his dagger and his sword and nodded. "Oh yeah, I am ready!" he hissed.

Osseric turned to Salim and said: "You do remember that I...traveled with six servant and only four...accompany me now."
Osseric probed the fortress with his mind. Searching for the distinct traces of the Deathgod's power. One of his shrines should have been in the fortress.
However Osseric's thoughts were repulsed.
"It seems your sword's offspring...is shielding this fortress from my mind." He said to Domerth in particular, but also as a warning for the entire group.

- The blades due bare powerfull magic. Some even shield themselves from particural beings. I guess that's why your try to uncover more failed. After the defences are down, we should look for murals that are usually painted here, and try to decipher them for more clues about this place. You all know your roles? We'll be meeting near the entrance after the defences are down.

"To the vault, right? On my way" said Salim as he started heading the other direction. Then he stopped, turned around, came back to Domerth and said, "Is there anything else in particular I need to do there other than just find it and return?"

- No, just find and return. Take the other copy of the map, Since Tael has one, I don't need for a second enchanted one. When you find it the location will be marked on the maps. I hope.

Tael followed Salim, having turned to smoke he were practically impossible to notice in the dark. Anyone attacking would be surprised by his attack, just the way he liked it.

Salim wandered the halls, using his trained eyes to see through to darkness, but relying mostly on his other senses, which tend to be more useful in these situations anyways. He then felt something near him.
"Smoke?" he thought. Then he realized, "Ah, must be Tael."
He turned and said, "Tael, I thought you were supposed to go with Domerth and the others, he only sent me to find the vault. No matter, do as you wish."
Salim then continued onwards.

The elf materalized and smiled his usual cold smile. "I don't need to travel one direction, I am keeping an eye out on you too just in case. You might have noticed that I can use the smoke to travel several places at once, as long as I have everything to be counted for when I am to become a man again. I wouldn't want to end up without an arm."

Domerth walked towards the chamber, with a cloud of smoke, which was Tael closely following behind. The golems stood dormant and idle. However, as soon as the duo reached the doors to the chamber, the golems came to life, and slowly yet relentlessly moved towards the adventurers.
- Prepare to defend yourself!- Said Domerth, and unleashed a nova of frost upon the encroaching automatons.

Tael disappeared from Salim, traveling and appearing in the midst of the golems. He span around, severing two heads and then turning to smoke again, appearing a few steps to the left and doing the same thing. This was where he got to use his full potential, in a group of non-magic casting beings.

Osseric went in to the Fortress a few moments after the others, but he soon diverted from their path. With his servants in tow he went down different coridors, following his nose. Faint traces of Breath of the Underworld were in the air. If these smoky arcane gasses were in the air there was a shrine to the underworld near. All Osseric had to do was follow the gas to it's source.

The duo were fending off the awakened defences of the fortress and slowly advanced towards the chamber. An endless stream of golems tried to stop them, however, they fell, crumbling into dust once the shards that kept them alive was shattered.
Domerth created a wall of ice behind him, giving him those few precious moments to open the chamber.
- Once the door is open it's up to you alone to fend them off, until I disable the artifact.
The trio galloped through the woods, following the falcon. they soon came up upon a monolith of black granith, and found a campsite nearby.
- This is it?
- Yes. Domerth's inside there- The queen pointed at the ruin- And there's Karayan.
The trio soon saw Poat wandering around the campsite.
- Who... What is that?
- That's a goblin milady. Most of them are sneaky scum, however few of the kin are trustworthy.- Falrick then said to Poat:
- Are you with Lord Domerth, goblin? Speak quickly.

Tael was in the midst of the golems, slashing and stabbing, burning and scorching everything that came within reach, when Domerth created a wall between the others and the golems. Great, alone in this. he took a powerful blow to his back and turned to smoke, then getting back into his pattern again.

Domerth opened the door to the chamber and entered it. he heard fighting behind his back, but was sure that Tael could hold out until he disables the sphere. here it was, in the middle of this great hall, on a pedestal. half of the chamber was covered in darkness. as soon as Domerth entered, a pair of huge, reddish eyes stared at him.
- You caused quite a ruckus with your entering young one.
Domerth drawn out his sword.
- No young one. I won't go againt the magic sealed in your sword. Leave me be. The priests of Albear cause me enough trouble.
- Just who are you?
- I'm one of the very few of my kind still existing in this realm. I am Azurothos, a blue wyrm. Take what you need, do not pester me anymore. I'm too old to face adventurers.- The eyes were gone, and Domerth heard heavy footsteps, and moments later, silence in the hall fell, save for the battle ongoing in the corridor. Domerth rose the blade, and slashed the sphere. It fell down, cutted in half, and then shattered into thousand little shards, releasing a pulse of energy. it went through the ruin, crumbling the golems to dust. Domerth exited the chamber, and went to the entrance to wait for the others.

Tael closed his eyes as the last golems crumbled. "About time." he whispered. Cutting through golems took some strenght, and after cutting such a large amount Tael was pretty exhausted. He waved his hand and the icewall melted.
He walked over to Domerth and nodded. "So where is your treasure."
