Osseric gave the mental order to have Domerth poured a cup. Except for himself, Domerth and the Elf, Osseric noticed everyone was asleep.
"Did we neglect to have...someone guard the camp last night?"

- I stayed up.- Said Domerth while cooling off the coffee with his breath.- No one even dared to venture near the site. though a large figure did flew by some time after midnight. I couldn't say what it was.

"That book you...seek, you would not mind...telling me why you seek it?" Osseric asked. The Elf seemed pretty preoccupied at the moment, the rest were still asleep.

- The book, as any book, is a source of knowledge. In this case, arcane knowledge. Whoever ruled over the Blackstone fortresses, possessed powerful sorcery used in blacksmithing. They used this power to craft blades of immense power. If I understood the murals painted in other Blackstone Fortresses I found, there was a great conflict going on on this soil. the rulers of the fortresses were losing the war, and to prevent the powerful blades from falling into the enemy hands, they split them into two pieces. A material and a spectral one. Although most of these blades became the dreaded Soul Edges, few pure ones survived and still exist to this day. Sealed within the mightiest of the Blackstone Fortresses, these few blades await those who are worthy to wield them. Lycus Wraith, my wraithblade, is one such weapon. It is the spectral part of a snow sword called Lycan Fury, for the denizens of the Blackstone Fortress that crafted it, viewed wolves as the avatars of one of their deities, thus the noble beasts being sacred to them. well, at least that's the story etched into the walls of these ruins tell. The book may contain the map of where it's physical half is located. It's purely a speculation, but I'm willing to take the chance.

Salim got up to see Tael, Osseric, and Domerth awake. He went and prepared a light breakfast, enough to sustain the travelers, but not so filling that it would hinder them.
"Alright, so when shall we hit the road?" said Salim to those already awake as he made a light soup for them.

Domerth drank his coffee in one gulp and looked at Osseric.
- I'm aware of the dangers that Lycus is throwing on me. as long as it has souls to feast on, my own soul is safe. that is the difference between this wraithblade and others.
The ship "The Unyielding" was docked at the Rockport, the only connection between Magitara and the old world.
The woman held a falcon on her arm. It was a majestic bird to behold on, a bit larger than the rest of his kin, which meant it being faster and stronger than the rest falcon breeds. She attached a letter to his leg and set it off to fly.
- Do you think he'll get the message milady?
- Yes. and once he does, we'll know where to find my brother.

Tael rose and walked over to Domerth. "We should let the others eat while traveling, I think we ought to hit the castle early." his voice was distant and his eyes filled with ghosts. "It's not safe to stay too long in one place."

The falcon soared through the sky, looking for it's destination. It came across a small party traveling with several wagons. One of it's members was similiar to the description that the queen has told to it. An ash haired man in a black suit of armor riding a two headed horse. It flew closer and closer.
Domerth raised his right arm so the bird can land on. He removed the letter from the falcon's leg, whispered something to it, then set it to fly.

The Elf looked troubled during breakfast, but Osseric payed him no heed. Osseric rather enjoyed the fact that he was humbled as long as he would.
After Domerth rudely awoke the Lizardkin and the two Goblins, the party moved to pack up camp. Shortly before leaving, Domerth recieved a message by a falcon.
"Recieving last...moment instructions, are we? Care to...share them?"

- It's a letter from home. Only a greetings from my sister, she says that she's docked i Rockport now. The falcon will lead her to our little company.

- They'll be in our camp in evening, after we're done with the ruins. Rockport is a couple of days of road from here. But as far as I know the trio has Karayan's kin to travel on. And when galloping, they can be blindingly fast. BE assured, there will be plenty of time to explore the ruins before they get here.
"though I fear the worst"- Domerth thought to himself. He kept in touch with his sister using the falcons, however her visit here was shrouded in mystery.

"Alright, then let's go!" replied Salim as Poat finished packing everything and placed them onto their respective carriers. Salim then put on his turban helmet and released the chainmail and leather veil that went over his mouth and nose, protecting it slightly. Salim got onto his horse and rode forth, with Poat and his pony following.

The company moved forward along the road, chattering and telling stories along the road. it wasn't a long journey, and the party soon saw the gigantic monolith built out of black granith, that which they were seeking.
- Prepare a campsite here. we'll venture int them once it's ready.
The horses were prepared for the journey. The Queen looked at them. two of these majestic beasts were brought back by her brother six years ago. they of them were black as a night, while the third one, their offspring, was white as purest snow. The falcon soon returned, and was ready to lead it's mistress and her champions.
- We should meet up with them in evening milady.
- The sooner the better.
They saddled up on their horses, and rode, following the falcon.
