- We can agree to that. I was never fit to the throne, despite my father's best attempts. There are a large chain of islands in lake Ishtakh. I also heard that it's one of the last places where the silver dragonkin reside. We may not need to stay for a while there, just start a settlement and ally with the dragons, if they still live, because I heard that one of Albears living saints leads a crusade against the wyrmkin. Once that is settled, we can move on.

Osseric thought better than to asses her claim to queendom.
"I am interested in...my profit formost and whish to make...the most profitable choice. Ivory for instance...is less valuable in my lands...than you might imagine. Whereas in your lands, elephants...are rare and mighty beasts, we know...of more mighty and rare specimens. Making their respective...products more valuable."
Osseric snapped his finger and his coachman appeared with a bucket and a paintbrush.
"However since my economical...considerations seem insulting to you. I will make...my choice blindly."
Osseric snapped his fingers again. The coachman produced a wooden template and put it against the royal seal on the rightmost box. He dipped the paintbrush in the bucket and with grey paint he sloshed over the template. After removing the piece of wood, the royal seal was painted over with the image of grey dunes. The servant repeated the process with the leftmost box. Osseric snapped his fingers a third time and the servant retreated.
"The die is cast." Osseric remarked and made his way out the cargohold.

Even choosing blindly, Osseric had made the right choice. The first chest he chose contained jewelery and several ceremonial weapons, and the second contained amber and it's carvings. Rebeca left the room, went up to deck, and started to open another portal. Within several minutes the portal was ready, and the ship sailed straight into it, emerging near the shores of Rockport.

The entire harbor of Rockport was filled with Falconguard Warships that bore Prince Alberto's blue eagle insignia. Approaching the Merinanthian ship was one that was at least twice its size and seemed to be the flagship of the fleet.
Leonadros' eyes widened and he rushed to Domerth and Rebeca yelling out, "We must leave immediately! They will surely assault us for having us on board. Even if we remain undetected, Prince Alberto's navy will probably take the ship away from you as well as any weapons for the war effort. I suggest we go south to Prince Alaric's Domain. The Port city of Karadeth is safe and would be heavily fortified by Alaric's troops. From there we can make our way to Harlmon Castle. Lord Albyn knows me and after I have vouched your case to him, he shall surely grant you sanctuary while you seek a place to settle your new kingdom. But first we must vacate this harbor or that ship, the Ordinator, will catch up to us."

- This man is a mercenary in servitude of Lord Domerth and Lady Rebeca, the monarchs of Merinanth!- Falrick took the role of herald.- My queen is not pleased with your tries to blocade our warship. We do not mean harm to your lord's realm! If you try anything you'll feel the fury which was unleashed upon the servants of Kharnesh!
Upon hearing the name of one of the most atrocious and vile gods, the captain murmured something to his men. He then turned to Falrick.
- You're free to continue your journey! Our deepest apologies to your lords!
Domerth walked towards Leonardos.
- If they try something funny, their fish food. Captain! Sail southwards!

"Thank you. Thank you, my lords." said Leonadros to Domerth as he bowed. When he got back up he then continued, "I would still be alert if I were you, though. They'll be bound to send a scout along the wooded shoreline to track our progress. I suggest that we go back out into open sea and then approach Karadeth from the South. They'll lose track of us then I'm sure."

- We got nothing to hide from them. We are just wayfarers in search for a new home. Our stay in the port will be short, about a week. It would be ideal to scout the lake and ally with the wyrmkin. The lake is not far from there, and it isn't claimed by anyone. It's the silvers' domain. Our best bet is that ongoing crusade against them. - Domerth shared his thoughts.

"Sire, please trust me!" replies Leonadros earnestly. "They will take the Unyielding and whatever weapons and riches we have for their war. Do not give up your belongings and weapons so that they can kill more of my countrymen. Just pass by and go to Prince Alaric's domain first. I can make sure that he does not take your things. From there you can move north to the lake along the Gypsy caravan routes. They share no allegiance and you would be safe there. You only have to fear highwaymen and an occasional bear. Salim can lead you there. I must return to Lord Albyn and bear Prince Alaric's standard."

"Most of Prince Alberto's armada is sitting on this rock, sire!" yelled Leonadros as Domerth in frustration. "They won't simply stand aside and let you pass with all of these weapons. For all they know you could just be trying to smuggle supplies to Alaric's loyalist groups within Alberto's realm. They will take any and everything you have. Besides, once they see Prince Alaric's crest upon my shield and armor, they will immediately think we are in his service, whereas if we go through Alaric's realm, they shall see Salim and I's papers of service and loyalty to the Prince. Then you all can pass unharmed and with all of your things as well."

- Damn brothers, can't rule the land together... FOOLS! Escaped from the claws, but jumped straight onto the horns... This civil war is all we need right now.- Domerth thinked for a moment.
- How about we open a portal directly to the lake? Can you do that Rebeca?
- Give me the directions or an image of it and I can try.- she said while magically sealing a scroll. She then dropped it overboard.

- Now, let's see... Directions to Lake Ishtakh.- Feeling a bit stupid, Domerth said to the tome. Within moments it drew the map of Magitara showing the ship's position and even the borders of nearby kingdoms, Falconguard and Araraq. The lake was east of them, about 27 leagues from their location.
- Allright. 27 leagues to the east from here.
- Got it.- Rebeca focused, and the gemstone in her staff started glowing. Again, two pillars of water arose and merged into a circural arc. The ship sailed into it and emerged straight in the lake, near it's shore. However the water was too shallow there and the ship was stranded.
- We're here. We'll have to wait before we can move, I need to get my strenght back.- Rebeca looked at the shore. It was a battlefield. The fighting has just ended, as the fires were still burning, and several beings circled high in the air. They were too big to be birds however.

Miles away from Ishtakh, the small port city of St. Anastras lied razed and burned to ashes. Every body was dragged out on to the dirt outside the town so that they wouldn't accidently be given a crematian. This wasn't the first attack either. Almost twenty Wildeeran cities had been destroyed in a similar manner, some major, some not. Whatever was causing this much havoc couldn't possibly care. King Nylos Lighthart became worried. The forested country was the greatest connection between humans and elves, because both lived there. If he failed to protect his nation, he thought that the elves would stop helping the human armies. And so had sent several of Albear's finest knights and paladins to investigate.
"I haven't seen anything like in 20 years, not since the last Sorcery War!" the first knight had said.
"This isn't the sorcerer's war style Karnth," a veteran warrior said, "They leave the bodies to be given cremation, they aren't savages like these... things."
"Then what was it, Gayn, Orcs?" Karnth taunted, "Lizardmen? Or do you think we've been invaded by an army of monkeys?" ((not munkees))
"This isn't the time for joking, Karnth." Gayn snapped.
"Will you two be quiet! I think I know what it is!" Veerana, their elven guide, had said. Her pitch black panther she had as a companian growled softly at the Albeans.
"Then what was it that destroyed all these towns, elf?" asked one of the knights that was in a small group burying bodies.
"Demons," she simply replied.
"The demons were banished long ago, excepting the lot that joined the orcs," another knight said.
"Their banishment was a hundred years ago. Am I correct?" Veerana asked.
The knights, including Gayn and Karnth, nodded.
"A demon can only be banished for so long. Am I correct? She asked again.
Most of the knights nodded, though some seemed surprised.
"We, as mortals, can only banish them for one hundred years," she informed.
No matter how battle hardened, how mighty, blessed, or favoured by the gods the group was, they were scared for their lives.
All of them.

The cloaked man looked up to the newest target. It was just breaking dawn. The people of New Ardnos would never believe that this was their last day. The figure began to make his way towards the Wildeeran town, making mental notes on certain buildings. He stood then, in the center of the town square, just in front of the large town hall. I wasn't an impressive building, no decorations, no towers, and no ramparts, but it was tall. So tall that it would crush half the town if it fell.
"Half the work done for me," the man said.
Suddenly, the cloak the man wore burst into flames. In fact, his entire body was covered in fire. After the flames had died down, his cloaked was covered with spikes and blood vessels. Then the strange covering unfolded into a pair of wings. The man under them was not a man at all. The creature stood about eight feet tall, with slashing claws and a mouth filled with row after row of razor like teeth. Anyone who was in the area had already fled. The demonic monster called upon his Abyssal powers. He then became a living fireball, and he threw himself at the town center. It crumbled under his power, along with the other side of the city. He turned his destructive form around and shot himself at a row of houses. He turned back, and began to claw at anything that lived his attack so far. He countinued this routine of launching himself and cutting the survivers until by mid afternoon, all that remained of New Ardnos was rubble and dead bodies that were set along the remains of the forest around the city. As Melphestus was admiring his handy work, he noticed a few elven children that must have lived in the city. He saw a river near the destruction. He quickly mapped out Wildeera in his head, and let out a malicious grin.
"If I remember correctly, this river flows to and elven mill. I would give all my coins to watch their faces when the realize two younge elves are blocking the mill's wheel," the son of the Lord of Flames said to himself, as he threw the children into the river...
