Tael didn't even pay the hunters much attention, as they probably wouldn't have been able to see him anyway if he didn't wish it so. But when Domerth charged them he decided to prove he was just as capable a fighter. He seperated, the smoke going in all different directions and gathering in the outskirts of the camp, just a few steps ahead of Domerth. His white hair flying he drew his sword and his dagger, rushing the men. He were a few steps behind Domerth by the time he arrived, and avoiding a slash by a sword by turning to smoke and appearing behind the man. The man fell dead, head seperated from body, and the dark elf looked around for the death knight. He saw Domerth already having slaughtered the rest of the men, now closing in on the two remaining. He shook his head in amazament over how quickly they had been dispatched and started walking off toward the three men.

Domerth's steed neighed, terrifying the remaining hunters. One that tried to run away was frozen solid, his hapless body shattered by his steed's hooves. Domerth turned around and charged against few of the hunters, delivering grievous slashes to them. He saw his companion swiftly cutting down the oposition. The slaughter continued until a goblin and a dark skinned man left standing. Domerth froze their legs up to knees and approach them.
- You clearly aren't with them. State your business. If you want to live.

Salim kept his defensive posture, but replied, "Actually we were with them, but not of our own will. We were to raid the old ruin over yonder for riches or whatever they wanted. We are just hired swords, but we wished to take part in the raid as well, despite their inexperience and clumsiness. And you?"

Tael cut in, his smile cold as ice. "You demand answers? Well now, normally I would never answerrrr anything and just get the job done." he looked at the knight. "But since I am like you, hired swords, I will let him take the decision wether you live or die. Or if you will get your question answered."
He sheated his sword and dagger, but rested a hand on the hilt just in case.

- We're heading to the castle ruins as well. However your journey would have ended there. The treasure is sealed behind doors that require an unusual key to open it. And the key had already chosen his master.-Domerth said it with such intonation that it allowed to understand that he bore the key.

Tael were confused. "Wait, you weren't just randomly treasure hunting? You know what you're looking for? Hey, is that what you showed me earlier on? The special key? Nevermind, we'll bring these along as cannonfodder incase these so-called ghosts are dangerous. What do you say?"

"Well that key would certainly be of great use I'm sure. Somehow these hunters still found a way to get killed without even entering the place. I would be careful if I were you, but I'm sure you two won't mind a couple of these ghosts would you." replied Salim to the knight.
After hearing what the elf said, Salim replied, "We are not quite as useless as you think. Perhaps we may not be of great use to fighting ghosts or some of the more powerful magi, but our skill lies in deception and coercion. Both of which can be very powerful tools in the right hands. I am a skirmisher and Poat here is a thief. We are not made for heavy combat or stealthy kills. We fill the in between as scouts and trackers. So do not underestimate our ability."

- You catch on quickly. Indeed, the blade is the key. I only roam in random because these fortresses are scattered across the continent and are hard to find. And extra eyes and hands will always come usefull.- He broke the ice shackles.- Now, let's see if we find anything usefull here.

I got some- he nodded at the pack on his horse- But it won't be enough now that we're four.- He handed two buckets of water for his steed to drink.

"I don't think that will be necessary. The hunters you killed brought along plenty of food and supplies. I also have medicinal poultices as well as some more more...volatile potions should you require them. Given the right tools and ingredients I can make various potions and elixirs. I am also not a bad cook myself. "

Osseric and his retinue of servants had been travelling for a while now. Osseric had done good business in the towns along the way, he sold and bought plenty and his cart was full with crates and barrels that he would transport to his mansion back in the Grey Dunes.
Osseric himself was seated inside a comfortable Carriage. Both the cart and his carriage were drawn by two ink-black horses. As with all his servants, the horses were raised by his necromantic magics and worked tirelessly. They would pauses only if Osseric whished so. His servants were distributed evenly. Both the cart and the carriage carried a coachman, soldier and archer.
Osseric glanced out the window when he saw a campfire in the distance. He gave it a thought and then gave the mental command to head towards the encampment. He would rest a bit and enjoy some wine and food. The coals in the bazier inside the carriage had burnt out and it would give the servants time to refill this and give the cargo a once-over.
The carriages came to a halt near the encampment and the soldier on the carriage got off and opened the door for Osseric. Osseric aproached the fire, his soldier a step-and-a-half behind him. The other undead already got of and swarmed slowly over the cart and carriage.
"Good evening...gentlemen. I would like to rest with you for.....a spell and enjoy a...light meal. If you'll...allow me." Osseric said in his slow manner of speaking.
The company looked at him. Osseric saw a Goblin, two Humans and a Dark Elf. They looked like fighter's, all four of them.

"Oh what are the odds..." said Salim exasperatedly as Poat chuckled. "Might as well..."
About 30 minutes later, Salim prepared a lightly breaded medium rare steak with all sorts of spices on it, many of them hailing from his lands to the south. He also made a soup from the dead hunters' potatoes, garlic, onions, leek, water chestnuts, and milk. He found where the hunters had stored their bowls and plates and evenly distributed the food amongst each other.
"There you go. Would have been better if I had a real kitchen and more good quality ingredients, but this is the best I can do for now." said Salim as he passed out the bowls and plates while Poat gave everybody a knife and spoon to eat with.

Tael tasted the food and hid his surprise. The food was fantastic! It had started to tear on his patience that another person had joined their party, but he didn't say anything.
"You're quite a good cook! You're right about that." he said, with his mouth full of food.

Amurris and Morrik watched the others eating from their hill camp.

Truthfuly, Amurris was informed of Tael and Domerth's quest by Sefiok, and the lizardkin discovered Salim's camp shortly ago. On the road there was what looked like 4 humans and a goblin. No wait, one was a drow elf. Without warning, Amurris began making his way to the adventurers, and out of habit, Morrik was close behind. When he was at the camp, he simply asked "Would you be bothered by usss if we tag along?"
