HOMM3 HD Mod SOD+Gigantic Maps?
This might have been answered before, but i didn't feel like going through +80 pages of comments.
Is it possible to play HOMM3 HD SOD (no WOG or HOTA) with the Gigantic Random Map?
I like SOD more than WOG or HOTA, because i like my Necropolis and Conflux as they are.
If it's not possible, will it ever be possible?

is it possible to create a website which would automatically ping the lobby server on regular intervals and display information about whether the lobby is online or not?
this would be helpful when waiting for the lobby to come back up. you would be able to close the game, navigate to the website, then check from time to time if the status has changed to "online".
ideally, no page refresh should be required, the info on the page would update automatically. a good idea would be to also put the info directly in the page title, as then you could just have it in the background and instantly see when the lobby is back up.

So I was checking things out and it appears that the HD mod file in the site are now gone or inaccesible. Are there any other ways of getting the HD Mod?

@baratorch:
could you please finally implement a way to restart simultanous turns during the game, without the need to leave and restart the game?
In our last game with 3 humans we had to quit and load the game 10 times within 1 hour, although we already tried our best to prevent interaction with same objects, this was not much fun =/
In addition:
Not sure if it always was like this, but instead that player 2 and 3 simply repeat their turn, it also happend frequently that they were not able to repeat it and instead their hero was simply reset to previous position, resulting in loss of one whole movement with that hero.

Hi baratorch,
I tried the first time the "PVP neutral" setting, 2 humans and 2 AI, all vs all. Everything worked fine, thanks. But I (first player and host) was not able to see the AI turns, although I set the enemy hero movement on the middle value. It was just skipped. Is it possible to fix this? The second player was able to see them.

Why does HD Mod pop up with there being a new update every time I start the game, but when I try to update it says I already have the latest version? (5.0 RC45)

Hi Baratorch,
Is it possible to fix sim turns such that the blue player DOESN'T lose one turn when sims end?
At the moment: red player does his stuff, then ends the turn. Sims end and blue player still can't play, even though red ended his turn, thus red gets an additional one.
I think this change is simple enough to do.

nah, if Blue engages Red in any way, Red just repeats the current turn, Blue follows afterwards
don't attack any of Red's heroes/towns/mines and it will be fine
if you wanna "fix" SIM turns to remove Red advantage, then most logical step is reversal to previous day's Blue turn. i'll not go into detail as it was discussed here before, a while ago. and i doubt this gonna be implemented, so just use your imagination

Why during picking starting town/hero for random map we have extended hero screen with all usefull information
and during picking starting town/hero for normal single scenerio we only have this basic one?
I don't understand that decision. The extended one is 100x better. It should be availeble as well during non random maps. It is way more friendly for new/ less expiriensed players.

It's quite simple: random maps use hard-coded information for hero skills, biography, spells and creatures, which is easy to get for any hero... of course then bara coded the nice information dialog you show so it's not completely easy.
But in non-random maps, there is no such hard-coded information. You have to parse (dig into) the h3m file to extract the information about this hero, even if he does not have customized skills, biography, spells or creatures - you cannot be certain without parsing.
It's not impossible to do but it's not a great use of time for the information you'd see in the end - which can always be viewed in mapeditor.

Crash report:
When using view earth/view air and hitting the button to see the underworld first nothing happens, but when hitting it again the game crashes.
This at least happens in heroes3.exe campaigns when the map has no underground (hota and maps with underground not tested)

HD online lobby is not working currently (no login possible, just waiting for minutes, nothing happens) and gameranger is still not working for HD+Hota while loading a savegame (the already mentioned "new game" bug).
So here we are again. And you asked seriously "why should we fix gameranger if there is a online lobby" ?!

thank you for mentioning alternatives, but there is a reason we ended up with gameranger, cause hamachi, tungle, teamviever all require port forwarding and/or install another connection adapter, which causes alot of trouble. While gameranger works right out of the box without messing with this.
