Not necessarily, and as always the Campaign should take more then a day.  Even if you play a good portion of the day, and make members of Mensa look like idiots.  Especially on the hardest difficulty.  RMG is nice, I will give you that, but I do have to agree that fan made maps > RMG.  Now sure not all of them were 'epic', but some were downright FUN.  RMG can be anywhere from ugh to great, but as the name suggest it is a turkey shoot.

The llow number of maps deliverd with the game is a problem. People like me, who don't use the RMG or download. But 2 or 3 really good multiplayer maps can last for a long time.

It doesn't change the fact, that it's necessery. An easy solution for those who don't know any better or don't wanna bother searching or creating their own maps.

And besides, like Zenofex said, supposing they prioritized the RMG to work right. That the RMG did not produce the best results, is not the RMG's fault but those who made it. Both Editor and RMG are the means to get what you need, and not the goal. If the RMG was made to be better, with its given speed on creating even the most complicated maps, it would be the prefferable means to make those maps.

Fan made maps > RMG, indeed, but there will be few such maps which will actually be good (depending on each player's taste, requirements etc.) On top of that, there will only be 10 (or 15, don't remember) multiplayer maps in the game when it will be launched. That's a poor figure and a RMG is a must in the first three to six months.

To those how say a RMG only make bad maps, should know that their are no limitations to how good a RMG can be. With proper programming and implementing a RMG can be totally awesome.

When it comes to custom maps and replayability I think its extremely important to make sure that the map always adjust properly when choose different staring options. For example you play as Haven the first time, then close by dwellings and other map object are adjusted to that. The second time you might play as Stronghold, then the area around that changes making  it feel at least a little like another map thanks to those changes.

I do think that a RMG such quality would consume so much time that could by invested in game balance, features and map making, that I would gladly set it a said despite all its pros. And I hope that this is the case of Heroes VI (except for the map making obviasly)

IMO RMG maps are crummy and have been since it was first available in heroes 2.  I have tried templates etc.  I even tried Nevermindspy's better rmg generator but I was not satisfied.  There have been some really great fan maps, both strategy type and story type for all the games.  Despite my personal dislike I think rmg should be a feature in the game, but I don't care when it is available.

I suppose the rules are going to change with every patch as usual?

I am sure that a Random Map Generator, with the right talented programmer and enough time invested into it, can become something really awesome that would then even help to sell the game even much more. The invested developing time would certenly NOT be a waste.

I can imagine a great RMG capable of producing random events perfectly placed or timed on the maps, like if it would have been done by a real person.

But even if it would just be a "simple" RMG like the one from H3, i would be happy already.

some ppl including myself will never find the RMG satisfying coz its way 2 random, hence its name randomMG... the only way it can be used to make a nice and a balanced map is if the RMG could read ones mind.. human made >>>>>> computer made... plain and simple

We have the Cyclops on H6 website!

Its pretty good, but a bit too amorf for me, but if we read the lore story its pretty much understandable What really makes me curious is that after we have all the creature artworks of the announced factions what will we get from tomorrow. Hopefully some game mechanics maybe a new video, but thats only a hope

Nice new screenshot -- again very pretty environment, I'm just a little bit worried about one thing -- the developers claim that everything will be visible from the default camera angle, yet it seems there are too many high mountains, tall pillars and big buildings on the screenshots that can block the view quite significantly. So I hope the semi-fixed view won't be more of problem than help.

Looks like some sort of hydra head on the building in the lower part of the screenshot. A bit to "evil-looking" to be connected to the nagas, I  wonder what it is .

I bet this screenshot came in response to the people who complained (due to the previous screenshots focusing on a certain object), that the maps in the game would be empty.

This screenshot now show us that quite the contrary, the maps are filled up with adventure map objects. Good work once again, Ubi!

It's needless to say that the Cyclops design is the best Cyclops of the series so far, for me. But I also find the story behind it to be one of the better in Heroes VI.

I especially like the 'gentle giant' part. And that it gets as detailful as to explain the one eye they got.

Ok, so apparently the Collector's Edition will include:

- The game, d'oh;
- A poster;
- A 160 page artbook;
- A Gryphon ring (?);
- A T-shirt;
- The possibility to download additional content: one singleplayer map, 2 Living Artifacts 3D premium, 2 Dynasty Heroes premium and 1 epic mount.

The release date is March 1st, according to this site, but thehut.com says the game will be released on March 25th.

The Collector's Edition is priced at about 46 euros.

Poor cyclopes were failures and that caused them to develop lots of inner angst Heh in a way their description reminds me of the hulk The way cyclopes incorporated their demon heritage for Ashan lore was quite smooth, even considered the mark of chaos.

As much as I would like to disagree with this, I cannot. I don't dislike the Enraged Cyclops, I just think the regular Cyclops artwork looks better.
And I still don't know what happened to the Cyclops' hooves. They had hooves in TotE.

It's not just the hooves, it also had a pupil in his eye in H5. Artworks change from game to game. Just like H1, H2 Pigfaced Orcs became Green in H3 and then back to pigfaced in H4. There's nothing to it, just the designer's current mood, I suppose.

About the Medusa, she's not gonna make an appearance as a Dungeon unit.

Coral Maidens look like Medusas. People complain about similar creatures. Ubisoft would not wanna have another wave of nerdrage because if they included a Medusa, they would look like Coral Maidens.

Love the non-upgraded. Don't care if it does look like a pink demon, it's awesome.
The upgrade is... somewhere between ok and don't like.

And look at the screenshot of the day, there's an Hydra statue. It can be just another reference to possible factions, in this case dungeon, or maybe Hydra will be a boss, but that is just me overthinking
