Well the thing is that, regardless of Dungeon being playable or not, Hydras are existing creatures on Ashan. And wether they live in the wilds or under the yoke of the Dark Elves or any other race, they have an effect on the world.
So the Hydra Statue does not have to mean anything. It may just be decoration. Or it may be an adventuremap object. Or it may be that Hydras will be neutrals for a while yet. Or it may mean something I cannot think of off the top of my head.
My guess is as good as any, but don't go overthinking and reading to much into it.
Be mindfull of this. This is in no way a confirmation that we get Dungeon in an expansion whatsoever.

u r so right, after all radiant glory doesnt look anything like spring river and an ice maiden... ubisoft always listens to everything we say... and the fact that naga faction has been pushed for march release doesnt at all mean that some things might change within their ranks.... indeed ur right as always LOL

I agree that the normal Cyclops is way better than the upgraded one. But IMO it still has poor design and it looks quite bad and misshapen. The old Cyclops's models were really better in every possible way. I really miss the HOMM3 and HOMM4 Cyclopses. IMO they have the best models. The HOMM5 had more common with the HOMM1 but they both look better than the new Cyclops which is just a worse version of them (IMO).

I might be a weirdo but I prefer the upgraded Cyclops to the basic version.
The basic one only looks like a hunchbaked small-headed 'meatball' (to quote Jabanoss) to me.

You don't have to date him, you know!
It's good enough that he looks even more intimidating. And I'm basing that opinion more on his appearance next to other unfortunate enemy units in the Stronghold dev diaries, than the artworks.

So it's official the upgraded version are called The Enraged Cyclops, although in the Stronghold released video (3:40) the vampire attacks a Bloodeyed Cyclops (but I already talked about it)

Yeah I know
I don't have a problem with him being ugly and terrifying, but I like the idea of a more "physically fit" Cyclop as opposed to this "blob of meat"(yes that was an exaggeration)
I want him to have a more straight back and less fat. Like the awesome Untamed Cyclop.

On the regular /upgraded best looking ones gooooooes toooooo both , because both do the job of looking massive imposing and intimidating and most of all a unit you wouldn't want to mess with.

I would like to echo Elvins sentiment that you keep form jabbing at each other. That also means that certain members should - again - remember to post in a slightly less agressive way. For a long while, this forum has been pleasantly different from OSM, and I want it to remain that way.
On topic, I notice I'm not the only one who like the basic Cyclops better. It looks freakish.  The upgraded one is more as expected given Heroes 5. As for the T-pose, not sure what to say about that. The profile looks unreal, truely a miss-creation.

Yeah I don't like this Cyclops too much. Its cool that its big and strong, but it really doesn't look like a "monster" to me. Instead, its just a big blob that is so extremely hunched over and has almost no legs. Honestly, I think the Homm5 Cyclops was cooler, especially the 2 upgraded ones.

Woah, I love the cyclops, I even love the unupgraded one, this is what the cyclops should look to be special and have an identity (and by the way, to see stronger enough for a level 7).
Now that we have all the stronghold revealed... Are you sure Elvin that they aren't reveiling 5th faction in February? The timing is good enough for that...
