Fortress had a few faction races; when you consider the heroes, which are usually a good indication of the ruling races for a faction (they're army leaders & you never see a Mighty Gorgon hero ) there are Lizardmen, Gnolls and humans. I always interpreted Tatalia to be a kingdom which was populated by all three of these races; likely it was initially home to lizardmen and gnolls and humans immigrated later on.

I don't agree of 'rules' like "3 racial units (1melee, 1ranged, 1 caster)+ 4 monsters".
Castle/heaven always had been my favorite faction - beside rampart/sylvan. I really don't mind it having 5 humans, it's it remark since the first game.

I always thougth the 'main' race of fortress was the lizard, but thinking about it, that are, really, a lot of gnolls and humans as horoes... bah! it doesn't matter, it's an excelente faction, anyways!

Every faction in H3 had some human heroes, and in some cases the humans actually outweighed the natives (in Fortress and Dungeon you actually have 6 humans as compared to 5 of either of the natives).

Oh and stop pressing your bloody agenda Nightterror, there's nothing inherently interesting in a lot of the monsters, most of them are as boring and done-to-death as any of the races themselves, ie, unicorns, dragons, skeletons, demons, etc.

That is true; however, I view that as being the case simply because humans are so far-flung throughout the world. They're present in nearly every faction because they're everywhere; they just don't comprise the bulk of the armies of factions aside from Castle.

Fortress has 10 nonhuman heroes to 6 human heroes, for example. So, while there's still a definite human presence, the emphasis is on the nonhumans, which is further strengthened by the absence of any human troops in the armies of any town outside of Castle and Tower.

looked it up on google - Jewish folklore.
'Basstards' born from when the husband made sweet love to his wife even though he was told by the governemnt not to.

Yeah, it does feel like they have taken a step back.
Not to mention it doesn't mesh well with all other iferno creeps and the theme as a whole.

You could say it is means something like proto-succubi (yup, more than one). In essence it is yet another not quite successful attempt to borrow something from ancient Mesopotamia.

Orly, when I googled it I only found alot of pics of half-nude demonic anime girls. Strange how it turns out, not that I'm complaining though
Hmm otherwise I kinda like Lilim, not that I had a problem with temptress but anyways.

However i don't like Sister instead of Priestess, that is just no thanks.
But I like the rest very much, especially the Lamasu, so thumbs up

Hi guys! I'm still a new member, but I hope that somebody missed me..?

...No..?

...Screw you guys, I'm going home!
Whatever...

About the new pictures of creatures, the best one has to be the spider lady (don't know the name - my proposition: Arachnai? Elder Arachi? Tonoxis? Venorach?). I don't understand what they wanted to do with the sprite-like-blue-glowing-woman (?), for me, it looks like there will be no elves after all (I don't want to start a discussion about races - only my opinion). I took part in the survey, but there was amistake - can you do it twice? Is anyone REALY reading it? I hope so, but if no one noticed that you can do it more than once, I have my doubts .
On a positive note, I couldn't be more pumped about H6! Stuff is finally happening in HoMM universe!

While I don't mind the temptress to lilim change (It's hardly the worst one there) I feel like the lilim should upgrade to the succubus. Nothing to do with the history behind the name, I just think succubus sounds more threatening than lilim. Though maybe that's the whole point, considering the point of the monster is to seduce people.

Personally I like most of the names, I don't have a problem with Sisters, but I saw nothing wrong with the name priestess. it's the Vessels that really didn't make much sense to me. So if it was Sister-> priestess, I would have nothing wrong with the name change. I also think Lilim is a fine name. I think it's better to use a real world fantasy name (at least a not overly complicated one) then to make up a name like Temptress. Not that temptress was BAD or anything. Although I think Succubus Seducer was still the coolest upgrade name just because of the alliteration.

HEATHEN!! Lilim sounds a lot more erotic and hot than Succubus Temptress. I mean check the lore! Yeah you don't care about it alright but still that's so sweet. And Lilith doesn't sounds more threatening than Succubus true but it sounds a lot more alureing and sexy... isn't that all a Succubus can ask for? I dig the change so much.

EDIT: And the fact that the Lilim change is being discussed on page 69 should be interpreted as the divine sign that it is. This change is on the spot even God approves.

- Priestess is now Sister  I'm fine with this one, I liked the other version, but fine (and they need to change the facebook page of the vestal because it still says she is the upgraded priestess instead of sister).

- Temptress is now Lilim Cool change, a good name election.

- Excruciator is now Lacerator Cool change again, it fits him better.

- Juggernaut Ravager is now Ravager Good, but I feel like the name Juggernaut implies more power than the name ravager, so IMO the Juggernaut should be the upgraded Ravager.

- Bone Guard is now Skeletal Spearman Bad change. Bone Guard sounds cool and implies elite status (upgraded version), the regular skeleton also has spears, so there is no point on naming them spearmen when it isn't the change.

- Grave Ghoul is now Ravenous Ghoul Cool change, grave ghoul was very obvious for a ghoul.

- Putrid Lamasu is now Lamasu
- Festering Lamasu is now Putrid Lamasu Good change again, I prefer the not upgraded units to have just a one word name and the upgraded to have a name change or the name plus an adjetive.

Priestess is now Sister
Why? Sister is a horrible name for a combat unit, and if anything needed change it was the Vestal name, not the Priestess name.

Temptress is now Lilim
WTF? Does anybody even no what Lilim refers to without looking it up in a dictionary? I got the impression they were trying to cut down on the religious references (no Angel, no Devil, etc), and this goes against that trend and is a word almost nobody can relate to.

Bone Guard is now Skeletal Spearman
Again, this is an example of changing a perfectly good name to something that is at best mediocre. I thought they tried to move away from the names where the upgrade just had an extra word added to it (Druid > High Druid, Angel > Arch Angel, etc), and this goes directly against that - and Bone Guard was a name that was both cool, original (to my knowledge) and sounded good.

my $0.02

-Priestess is now Sister: not too fond of this one. I kinda liked priestess, and Sister doesn't really seem like a fitting name imo. Sounds more like something that might be used in a cult based faction.

- Temptress is now Lilim: Vile Temptress might have worked, but again it's not that great a change. While Temptress wasn't exactly the greatest name, they didn't hit the nail on the head.

- Excruciator is now Lacerator: I like this one. Lacerator sounds more cruel and vile than "Excruciator"

- Juggernaut Ravager is now Ravager: Sounds a bit better, though I'd probably swap ravager with Juggernaut, and give the upgrade the more menacing name.

- Bone Guard is now Skeletal Spearman: Ugh. Bone Guard was a nice name, why ubihole, why!

- Grave Ghoul is now Ravenous Ghoul: I don't mind this change. At least they got rid of the lame "grave ghoul" name.

- Putrid Lamasu is now Lamasu: meh

- Festering Lamasu is now Putrid Lamasu: see above response.

absolutely agree! previous names was much better those one, coz they were so expressive and simply good.

pitty about Jagernaut lost... that was unbelivable good
Ghoul - change doesnt matter in this case
Lamasu - who knows... maybe its better to understand

pitty that developers waiting tooooooo long with release and they did it blindly coz all fans are too angry for such long time to wait... bad marketing way...

There are very few complaints regarding the Juggernaut as a creature and no great initiative among the fans to return the Nightmare, so I can't see why the Juggernaut shouldn't stay.
