Disable compatibility at all and try to run again, please. If it does not work, we can start debugging session. I'll make debug versions of dlls and will ask you about their results. This process may take a few days, requires iterations.

Thanks a lot for the continued support and development of Era. It has come a long way from Era 1.5 (the version I first used). It is a tremendous accomplishment which keeps getting more accomplished.
I have no complaints or suggestions, but a defensive reaction to the reversion to once-only Emerald Towers. I think I understand why this was done (WoG 3.58f players are used to ET's which only work once, and feel that more would be unbalanced) but would like to explain the history (for those who are not aware of it, not Bersy). The reason I revised this was because the script was set up with the intent of allowing weekly visits, but a bug in the script prevented it from resetting to unvisited. This bug was also fixed in the un-fully-tested updated scripts which the original WoG team released, but never included in the WoG package. Maybe one of the reasons those scripts weren't made official is because players were used to some of the bugs, such as the ET one, and preferred them. However, in fixing the bug I thought I was restoring Fnord's original intent.
In the map "Ice Arrow", by Doc SuMann, the ET script was revised to allow monthly visits. So three versions are available: once-only visits, weekly visits, and monthly visits (and perhaps others that I am not aware of). I am satisfied that Bersy's choice is the official one.

Thanks for support, Jim. By the will of Destiny it happened that buggy ET script was treated as normal and even in such mode it almost ruined the balance. Every week visiting makes game a full fun. I saw reports on Russian forums, that was a crazy thing. Of course, custom maps can be balanced separately, but wogification options are mostly for random and regular Heroes 3 maps. That's why I used old 3.58f script.

I dissabled the compatibility for the exe and still not working. I see the problem is from win 7 and i will search if it is from 64bit or from win7 only. I'll wait for your dlls.

Win 7 32 bits works, I tested it on virtual machine with 512 MB of memory (half of my RAM) and got many successful reports from other players. So the problem is in system layer. Would be glad if we are able to deal with this problem together.

It works fine on Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits, without any compatibility settings. I have that on the laptop. I can provide some limited testing on it if you need, I saw you asked someone else if they had it.

Compatibility mode is off!
I have a laptop with win7 pro, not ultimate, and there the game appears just on windows task manager on processes tab for a few seconds, and then dissapears from processes. No error messages from windows. I observe the map editor works fine. On desktop PC appears those message.

bug report
okay here's one,i don't know if this is new but, if active, school of wizardy gives endless skills not 8 (or 10 if wog options is on).
i was testing secondary skill scrolling and warfare (with some display problems that are gone with a click, these two now work together, warfare doesn't eat other skills anymore.)
i checked era plug-ins "no secondary skill limit.bin" it was set off. still school of wizardy will give you more than 8 (or 10 if set) skills.
with secondary skill scroll mod turned off, you still get these skills but can not see them in your skill slot.
so this is a loop in the game to have infinite skills.
2- v2.3 was really really bugless. it almost never crashed. 2.4 sometimes crashes when i start a new map. here's the screenshots of one of them with a real long report:

3- Here's another one. this doesn't crash the game but its really annoying because when it starts the error messages keep popping up almost every turn. two screenshots in order and a saved game. the game is as buggy as classical wog now:

4- this is similiar to the first one. i had all my skill slots full, had expert leadership, tried to get rid of it in advanced witchut, all my secondary skills disappeared. hero had warfare if it matters. spell book still displays expert water and earth magic though. so they didnt really disappear but they are invisible, here's the save after the event:

Bersey is dwellings.dll not compatible with ERA 2? It seems to crash the game on start.
