No, because the 75 secondary skills boost.erm removes tactics (restores the skill after battle) then and only then applies the +x speed by using v997=-1 condition. Which never happens, so is safe to say the script never worked, right?
I modified the WoG script to v997 = 0 (FU&v997<>0:E). My question was only if such modification can create potential problems later. From my tests since, it looks ok.

Hi.
Is there any way to stop the Warlord's Banners from reverting back to +Health randomly?
It's happening a bunch during Deadlift.
Reduce defense is probably best right?

Isn't there some action where all banners can be configured in one click? (Control + click on banner or something like that?)
The banners are hardcoded, I remember I scripted them for a mod (Heroes meeting screen) but I can't find the mod any longer, as HD does the job better now, so I forgot what I did.

I've tried this map in Era III. Everything seamed fine until I got to the Werewolfs Killer object. Couldn't visit that one but I used the nearby stables to get more army and killed the werewolfs anyway.
From what I could notice all objects that don't came with WoG aren't functioning but other events like in monsters are. I believe it loses the yellow square trigger location of newly set objects.

There is no way to get army from stables in my map. Probably you use some other mods then, so map will not work.

No, I've used a post-visit to the stables to get army, so I could continue.

Yeah! I cursed myself for not having it enabled from start (even cause I don't believe I can do some fights...).
But I had to install WoG Scripts after the first attempt. I reinstalled the mod but maybe that wasn't enough.

Trainer, as well as the majority of mods not using instructions, can be installed and activated at any time in the game. F12 to load.

Instead of playing TDS again, I'm enjoying this map a lot instead. So far, so good - I've got some questions but I expect I'll figure them out as I go along.
But I have hit a crashing bug that is repeatable. It's probably not worth trying to figure out, as I'm playing in WINE on a Mac with HD Mod and ERA that were current a couple years ago, so, out of date.
It's the dracoliches that have the Head of Legion. When I fight them, I win, it gives me the head of legion, and then it sits for a bit and crashes. I suspect maybe that's scripted and poking memory that's not legit in my version of ERA, but who knows?
Anyway, I have the trainer (what a great tool for working around bugs, like the stack exp bug!), so I can just skip that fight and give myself the Head. I'm just wondering... if I do that, am I missing out on anything?
Thanks! (And, thanks for the Trainer mod too!)

I did, and then just for the heck of it I tried it one more time, and it worked fine. Very weird.
Meanwhile I'm taking back Maximus' home, and I see all the messengers there. It seems to me they're not worth it - it's much better to have the large army I'm accumulating. Am I mistaken?

Am I being stupid? I'm playing on normal difficulty, and I just beat Shadowden (the first Dungeon city, near maximus' home) and took Maximus' home area. There was a hint event between Shadowden and Maximus' that told me there was a rumor that the shield (maybe the Ward?) was in that area. I spend a *long* time looking for it and found nothing. Did I not try hard enough? Any hints?
Thanks.
BTW, interesting AI bug - or at least I assume it was a bug. When Gunnar was released he charged out, went for a mine, and then charged the blue dragons, wiped them out, and pillaged the valley of infinite gems. And then... he just sat there. I could have taken him on then, but out of laziness and a desire to see Maximus' home I spent a week dealing with that first. The whole time, he did nothing. I assume he was expected to head north towards Rome. It never happened. Once, just to see what would happen, I put a secondary hero in his range, and he did go after them and attack. So it's just that the AI was uninterested in exploring. Very strange. (I imagine if the creature banks were open for business, it would have attacked those, and then maybe found other things worth doing, but that wasn't the case.)

The shield is in an event, once you summon a boat at a precise hex (north of dungeon)
AI heros will explore less if the game difficulty is not 200%, maybe that was the case?

Aaargh, I give up!! I've been poking at that map for half an hour now, in addition to my previous efforts. I can't figure it out. Are there in-game clues I missed? If you are talking about the lake to the NW of the dungeon, I long ago found the spot you can use to summon a boat on it and get around.
...oh, wait. Is the shield you get the shield of retribution? Because I have that one. I thought that hint was about the Ward. If not, sorry, my error.
As for the AI, no, I'm playing it at 200% (impossible). I've seen your warnings about that often enough to know to make the right choice. :-) I don't think this demands attention, but if you're curious I can upload a save or two. I've got every day saved.

Look, that shield is not important, if it was I wouldn't have put it so hidden. There are many hidden features, none of which has serious impact on the game, they are just to give the feel of "ooo, some hidden thing I found". That shield gives 500 conscripts when given to a seer hit, you will end the game with 30k conscripts so 500 less is not world ending.

OK, thanks. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't dooming myself through stupidity.
Of course I'm still trying to figure out what good conscripts are... I imagine I'll figure it out towards the end.
