There's a problem with seer's hut quests. If I add a quest to return with two or more pieces of the same artifacts, it accepts the quest. It iis also appears on the quest log right. But if I have only one of the necessary artifacts, the seer takes the quest as successful and give the reward.
Why it is check only the sort of the quest artifact and why don't verify how many of them I have?

Strange kind of balance.

Exactly, they don't seem to give any overpowering items/creatures. Fighting 30 nagas for 12 000 gold is almost comparable to fighting 60 basilisks for 9 000 gold. Ivory Tower may be OP in balanced multiplayer matches, but you could for example increase treasure value of it.
I can't find any reason behind your decision, so could you please give a more detailed answer on this? I don't want to sound rude, I just don't know what am I missing here?

As fas as I remember, one reason was that you can visit these map objects only once, then they have no function anymore (besides looking good and creating a nice atmosphere). So to prevent too many "dead" objects, some have been disabled in RMG.

But nonetheless they serve a purpose. Besides, that's what I love HotA for - adding so much variety to the game and I'm pretty sure a lot of people also think the same.

Maybe it works for L+ maps... no multiplayer match is on these scales.

I'm playing G+U maps against AI very often and they're not there. I think that in one of the previous versions Pirate Caverns were generating, now they also don't.

It'll all make more sense when you realise how heavily HotA is geared towards competitive multiplayer. You could suggest an option for campaign objects to be generated in random maps for casual play, just a thought. However, it probably goes against their 'meant to be play this way' goal (to be more official like AB/SoD was), so it'd probably be an editor option, if any.
It'd be nice in principal if the crew would take more time to explain their reasoning in depth when making changes/revisions, but also consider that it might be rather cumbersome for them to do so. Also, they obviously don't poll these straight out of a hat, so at least we can trust them in that they have given any change/revision adequate thought beforehand.

I second this. When I see the crew's awesome work regarding Horn of the Abyss, the very least I can do is giving them my trust. Also, I would hardly dare criticize such huge amount of free work. If some people disagree with their vision, they can as much create their mod or expansion of their own is what I want to say.

But we also shouldn't dissuade people from criticising/questioning their work/decisions when done so in a reasonable manner. Like, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with Kleptar questioning the removal of certain objects from generation. From he's point of view and playing style (versus Al opponents) then I can see why he'd like these objects generated - but like nik said - there's sound reasoning for these objects being removed from generation.
Anyhow, to step out on the minefield myself, I thought about if it would be reasonable to have an option to turn off the new idle animations in the system options. It might provide a performance boost if using CPU intensive stretch filters with HD mod. Also, I kinda like the simplicity of how it is in SoD. Just a thought.

I didn't mean to imply otherwise, but sorry if it sounded that way. I just used your post as a stepping stone to add my own thoughts on critique/questioning of HotA (in a general manner). I don't really disagree with what you said.

It probably didn't. I guess is some bad habit of mine I developed hanging out much in the h7 foras, where most discussions are, well, a tad heated.

Other option... it could refill after 1-2 month. So these map items aren't that useless at all. Btw. I miss these creaturebanks for rampart, inferno, necropolis and dungeon too. Maybe in a later release

Well, text can just sometimes be quite ambiguous when you don't share the author's perspective on it. And as the author you have to be really clear to avoid misconceptions about what you write. You should always try to read your own text as if you were not the author of it, because this is a good way to at least avoid some of the possible misunderstandings. I don't always do the best job of it, evidently.

But Pirate Caves/Ivory Towers spawned at a certain percentage in place of other conservatories wouldn't it mitigate a little against Angel/Giant/Firebird/Cyclops/Wyverns accumulation?

This is a post in some other thread about HotA that I couldnt post in (i think thread closed)
so here
gatecrasher said: - Simple increase of HP (or HP increase based on character level) for all War Machines.
-Cannon to cost 1 or 2 additional Sulfur/Mercury (for gunpowder), Ballista to cost 2-5 additional wood.
-Improved effect of "Artillery" Skill. - Better effect of Expert... Sorcery/Mysticism/Armorer/Eagle Eye/Learning.
-Ammo Cart to provide a 5% bonus to Archery Skill or a general 5% bonus for ranged attacks or +1 Attack rating for ranged attacks.
-"Flood wave/Tsunami" pushes back all enemy units + damage to enemy units or reducing health of the entire stacks by some percentage
1) This is kind of double edge. I always target First Aid tent first during defense, as it is quite a pain for high HP units. So, I hate it when enemy has it and want to get rid of it as soon, but I hate having my war machine broken. it should be balanced both ways.
2)I see your point. Now let me try & put myself in the designers' shoe: the reason why none of the war machines cost no wood is that the idea was presumably that the owner of the town bring a blacksmith into the city, and that blacksmith is the guy who makes these war machines (wait, blacksmith? maybe more like a carpenter for ammo and ballista, and like hospital for tent lol)anyway, since they all should cost wood, the wood cost is in the blacksmith building. You build it for him, he make something for you and you pay him for it. Now if sulfur is to be added, I think it should, according to that logic, be added to the blacksmith cost and not cannon. Now I am not saying you're wrong, I was just trying clarify the designers' point of view, and I still think it's kind of good idea, in fact adding to that reducing the cost of them: they cost too much gold. One thing to note in HOMM3 is that war machines, except for the new cannon, cost 10XHP. So, they did give it some thought XD (now of course you'd argue that cannon some kind of sophisticated machine that the blacksmith worked so hard to make, but let make 350 HP or something & + def, after all ballista is easier destroy, isnt it?
3)I think wog pretty much handled all of these well. wait, why is wog and HotA not in same game? Its shame (or I can wogify the HotA?never tried)
4)Although pros seem to like ammo cart so much already (apparently they plan for long fights and AI abuse whatever), I think this idea is just great (maybe im not pro lol). Cuz, I'm thinking the ammo cart is kind of, a cart with "finely carpented arrow body, finely attached arrow feathers, and finely sharpened arrow heads" Now this would make a lot of sense to athcers and grand elves, medusas, maybe even gremlins etc but It'd start to be (...) when it comes Titans, Mages, Zealots beholders etc I'm not sure how to refine that.
5) Tsunami? wow, finally water school will have some spell that can stand up for armageddon, implosion, and chain light
Pardon me if something is inaccurate, I think my version is out of date.
also, I almost forgot to say, this HotA is ammazing. Well done guys (whoever made it)
