You put in my mouth words I didn't say. Feeling honored = acting with respect, being grateful. It's a matter of courtesy and education, which unfortunately nowadays became rare gems.

And which my post is breaking that rules (except "dialogue" with this donkey with devil's avatar - but I didn't started that)?
I even mentioned directly that I really apprecieate input of the Crew to Heroes and I cosider Hota as best H3 mod ever. But does it mean that I cannot criticize them in some aspects? For example: if somebody thinks that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest modern football player, he can't at the same time reckon that his second Manchester United campaign was complete failure?

Well Mr. Wise will explain everything to you exactly what and how.
-The factory was announced in January 2019 over a period of two years monsters were made
- March 2019 is the demo where we could see the Factory
-The whole PR was based thanks to Docent he was the one who mainly wrote the texts and kept the level of discussion with people see VK.com
- After the tragic passing of Docent the team did not have a PR person does it only occasionally Don_ko on the DF2 forum.The crew is fully focused on work outside of contact with the community
-The whole Factory was remodeled in a different style is the result of a compromise between the whole team. Docent was not the deciding person.
-No one here is a fanboyuye. Hota is currently the best non-official add-on you can play ( I'm waiting more for DoR).
-You don't owe the team anything you don't know what modding and working in this team is like and it is done after hours they may not even release Factory because they do it out of passion and desire leave criticism for yourself and your world. Because to criticize something that you get for free you didn't put even 1% of work into it is idotic to me that's why I challenge you so much. What else do you expect?
- If it comes out it will come out if it doesn't come out it won't come out and don't cry anymore HOTA is doing its best to release this city already and have peace of mind criticism from your side is totally unnecessary. Wait for the release.

I get the same feeling from HotA then from A Song of Ice and Fire. What an amazing peace of art... It provide me with countless hours of pleasure.
And I've already gave up on the chance of ever see it finished.

If Factory doesn't release or at least have a release date announcement by New Years, then I'll agree with you. Until then, all signs point to it releasing on January 1st.

Except Don_ko (Lazy) supposedly dislikes New Year releases, so Factory won't come out on the 1st of January (source: df2). And if you extrapolate a bit, the same might apply to holiday releases, in general.

I might have understood it wrong in the past, but I rather remember him saying that the releases could come out not just during the New Years eve. "Supposedly" and "source" don't really rhyme that well, either, especially if you're not providing a link.

Altrought scrolling throught the page more, it's seems the focus the of the talk was more of the "upcoming new years eve" of 2023. This is, after all, over year and a half old post. And it appears, that they have second-guessed "the protocol" after the post was made, since this more recent piece kinda points towards the other direction:

There's the problem of having a tradition of releasing only in the certain time period. Since if you have that, your audience will be expecting and waiting for you to keeping up with the tradition. You can bet that I will be mad for Santa if he won't visit me during the Chrismas eve, even if he would have more time during the summer time.
That being said, and despite everything, perhaps we should still check the HC site during the end of the year, or am I close, Paladin?

I am very doubtful due to not enough time left for testing phase for release to be there on new year - hota will be done when its done and in meanwhile track progress of other projects - dor, era, vcmi, legacy of the silence etc.

Hello together,
I guess I'm on Hourglass side there. If I understood Don_ko (Lazy) in his last post correctly, the factory town itself has already reached the testing phase. Also the game-play part of the factory campaign is tested and linked together. So it looks like to me, that the main part is already finished and they are currently working on the final pieces (voice acting, campaign text and bug fixing).
Hopefully they can make it till new year, I wish the team power and strength for the last few steps.

Well, if you'd ask me, it was more in terms of "it'd be nice if Factory was ready by New Year's 2023." rather than "it'd be nice if we released it on New Year's 2023". But we can go on and on about this and its interpretations, so probably no point in doing so.
Otherwise, yes, I would not abstain from checking HC around the New Year, regardless (and as for releases, HotA 1.7.0 is the only thing that could release around then).

It's best to not have any expectations, so you don't get disappointed. I don't really care about HoTA 1.7 anymore. I used to, I still play and enjoy HoTA, it's the only version of HoMM3 that I play, second one being WoG, but I have a desire to play that one far less. And I don't even play HoTA online for it's "competitive balancing", I play it single player against AI on custom maps from other people. It just expands the base game enough to make it even more interesting.
I used to care about 1.7 and Factory releasing a few years ago, now it just doesn't matter to me. If it releases tomorrow, I will be happy, if it doesn't I will still enjoy HoTA as the best version of HoMM3 in 2023 and still play it. Even if HoTA development stops and Factory and 1.7 never get released, it doesn't bother me. I'm just thankful HoTA in general exists and HoMM3 for that matter, the rest is irrelevant to me.

Fingers crossed that they're revealing the town theme. I've been on a kick of listening to Spaghetti Western soundtracks thanks to Hearthstone's latest expansion, and I want that town song more than ever. Seriously, cowboy music kicks so much ass. I don't know why, but it rocks.

By the way if anyone missed it, the article had a new screenshot (I'm pretty sure it's new, at least). It's mostly showcasing the new interface that lets mapmakers pick specific rewards from things like Graves and Shipwreck Survivors, however you can also see what appears to be the Sandworm dwelling in the bottom-right corner.
