Yeah, Erwan is the story writer, musician, graphic designer, 3d modeller, programmer, hardware expert, web publicist, CEO, janitor, the guy with sandwiches, the President of the United States, the Pope, Messiah. Erwan is the game itself, there aren't any other people working there, he's the one responsible for all.

when you are above all those people, managing them, you actually are the first one to blame or praise.

I actually like Erwan, because no matter how much hate he receives, he still finds the power to smile.
Let the tears flow.

Until you will meet Ubisoft's Menagement Team and you will never ever again smile for rest of your life.
Creating a game is one thing, meeting with menagement team is another, much worse.

So Guardian/Justicar is just another generic melee unit.... not even riding a thing (like griffin). Such disappointment.

Yes because riding a Griffin wouldn't be generic at all.
Come on... we still don't know Justicar's abilities and I am pretty sure that it won't be just usual boring melee unit, we have Swordbearers for that.

It actually would not be generic as it never happened in hero game, and for sure it is less generic than having another similar unit with nothing special.
What abilities it has doesnt matter, as we are talking here about the look of the units. We already have few boring human melees, actually 3 now.

I'm not usually the type to ask for changes to existing material, but given that this one is a simple rename, I'm going it.
How about renaming the "Abbot" to "Cardinal"?

Abbot/Inquisitor/Zealot/Witch-hunter/Demon-hunter/Preacher/Chaplain/Cardinal/Priest/Confessor.
What does it matters? It's essentially the same, a bold fanatic with a warhammer that cleanses heretic and demons.
As for Justicar, let's wait to see her abilities and then judge. I'm actually quite fine with her and Swordbearer's design.
I guess Swordbearer is a fantasy space marine on roids? Probably the biggest human in Haven/Castle ever.

It would have been great if they replaced those boring Guardian/Justicar with Werewolf men. Which would fit because of the theme.

No. I don't think a werewolf is a suitable unit for a Haven lineup. Having the Direwolf/Silverback is enough.
That said, I now totally want Werewolves as a Necropolis unit - Direwolves forced to drink the venom of the Namtaru as a Lich would, twisting their bodies into undead humanoids.
Hey, the lore for the Silverback DID limit itself to mentioning that a Lich lost its femur to one...

Speaking of femurs, is this a hint that Liches are back to being skeletal instead of the gaunt mummy-like ones from H6? I hope so.

"A fellow Necromancer, a Lich in an advanced state of decay, was once attacked by a Silverback. My poor colleague is still looking for his femur…"
Make of that what you will, but it sounds to me that they won't be completely bone.

Darn, you're right. I still hope so, but maybe "arch liches" (which are supposed to be older, as they passed their expiration date) or their equivalent are skeletal, and the basic lich is at least rotting a bit. It'd be cool to see the difference.

I'm down with that. I'm particularly excited on seeing what the Necropolis roster has to offer.

more on because it's hard to imagine these weak-looking, unimaginative, hard-to-believe creature being in a war lineup. What's worst is that they are melee fighters, which makes them even more unrealistic.
Also, I don't see how Werewolves would fit the undead. They are NOT undead based on popular lore.
I still stand by them being in the Haven lineup.
Wolf Duchy mastering the arts of the wolf can now shapeshift to their favorite animal (but uncontrollable).

Ok you teenage loudmouth. Lets make deal. I'm going to set you up with some of my female friend for a sword fight. And lets then speak about what is weak and unimaginative. I think it's going to be a part of your body.
Stop calling the opposite sex the weak one. I'm pretty sure most of them would really like to prove the opposite to you. And I already told you to stop these arguments, you're making a fool of yourself.
And as for your Werewolves: Werewolves, originally, are wolves that turns demonic/evil after eating buried corpses.. so Association with necro is the best one.
And now to lighten up this post, here, have a Cookie

So... what do you guys expect in the coming days? I think we'll probably finish up the Haven unit previews tomorrow, and the results for Sylvan come in the next day, so the new vote will likely kick in as well. I hope we get similar previews for the Academy in-between the updates for the final faction vote.
