Good but its not about what you think. That being said, i've always said HV story is good story awfully told, look it up. Its funny but unsurprising how you have to switch games in order to male your argument work because we were talking about H6 lmao.
Quote:
Much of the backstory about the old universe is revealed there. More of it would have been in H3 as well, if the crowd who can't stand originality hadn't blubbered about it.
I know exactly what the Forge is but im not talking about backstory, i'm talking about the stories told by H3. Those are generic, maybe less so during their era but rn they are, even the forge thing, so going back isnt going to get anyone appraisals for originality anymore.
Agreed about the later part though. Thats partially why i find hillarious the "originality" crowd. At least here they're the same crowd who gets pissy at lineup changes or at the snowing lich
I believe Heroes has reached the point where every town needs to be 2-in-1 in order to mantain both classic creatures and new ones. Although that'd be an awful lot of work (which clearly they really arent interested in doing). Another alternative would be to take the AoW3 approach but not sure how feasible that would be (plus people here would probably scream "laziness")

Meh, we shouldn't even have to ask for this. It is a goddamn no-brainer and it is unbelievable this was even allowed to happen. Not to mention every battle requiring a few secs of loading wtf.
I know and agreed. Sadly that doesnt stop many developers from doing it. While i understand that games a huge money sink until released so getting them finished fast is important, that doesnt give them excuse to half ass it. If they are limited on money then they have to get extra creative. For example the council cinematics, the simple addition of some sort of parchment-like filter over them would have made them look less cheap and more cohesive with the drawn ones

Hi Guys, we are aware that the news comes as dissapointing.
Answers to a couple of your questions/comments;
The release date for Trial by Fire remains unchanged at 4th August for everyone.
The developers have not been fired or on vacation.
Your feedback is very valuable and has very much helped.
Is it really come to this? Is this UBI's official community manager response?
It reminds me of this: clicky

GenyaArikado said: Yes, I understood that. But what kind of stories then? What kind of stories are so held back by pre-DM timeline lol?
They are not held back by the pre-DM timeline per-see; however, Ashan is by nature a stagnant world and will not change unless forced by some radical event. Plus, staying in the past continues with the temptation to make another bland GoT knock-off in whatever the human empire is called at that time.
I see the devs are just living up to expectations, lol.

Dont reply if you're willfully ignorant then lol.

I dont get why people use the stagnant word, like 'k we kinda know the ending but are you saying H5,6,7,CoH,MMX, etc are the same? Do you believe that a "GoT knock-off" cant happen post DM (will there only be one faction with one city and one person in the entire universe or what lol?) Lineups are still changed (well, most they could, thats the problem with iconic units) between games. Pretty much the only static thing is the factions names so...i just dont get it.
Like, do you realize the reason they blew up Enroth is because they couldnt keep up with their own lore? They made Axeoth to start new again for that reason lol. OldVerse backstory being bloated with different world and the old developers lack of foresight when it came down to "accounting" it lead to Axeoth in first place and Ashan in second place.
H5 originally started in a similar place (side effect of originally being set in Axeoth and looking like like Warhammer: The TBS Videogame) which is why they did that world revision during H6 developement.

Well if there were a bunch of threads wondering if they had been fired its understandable XD.
This xpack marketing is so tragic. The only reason Trial by Fire MIGHT get slightly noticed is because there arent big fantasy strategy games coming out soon (i think) and even then a single leader reveal from Civ6 is likely going to get more noticed.
