Alex_Yakub said: Dear Stevie, do you really think Strength voters would change their votes from defensive lineup to the loosing offensive lineup while defensive one still had a chance of winning?
I do. Strength and fury have very similar lineups. Blade dances and emerald knights can substitute each other easily as they are both offensive humanoids, the dryad/treant combination is possible in both line ups, both line ups have forest herbivores to serve as Calvary (unicorn/deer) and both line ups have the exact same champion units.
The only real difference is the root snake vs pixie, and that doesn't alter play style that much.
Also keep in mind, not everyone voted on the first day. New people came in later, which is when the shift happened.

As I've said before, I did just that (and I'm sure I'm not alone in this). For me the turning point was when it was announced that the Green Dragon would be a walker, which turned Strength into a tank-fest, so I switched to the more offensive line-up.

I do not think so, AdrianCat.

It is very old 16 bit music that does not go beyond stereo sound and very old midi. Too melancolic for any towns other than, maybe, Necropolis.
Never know for sure, the devs were talking about inserting a lot of Heroes II stuff in Heroes VII. Too much uncertainty as for this time, yet.

Calm your tits. Marzhin only said that the playstyle of Sylvan will still be different from the other factions', and that in the context of being more tanky.
Fury will still give you the most offensive Sylvan you can possibly get.

I was refering to the tank-fest part.
And Marzhin said that it's not suddenly going to turn into a tankfest.

So, ahem... moving away from sylvan discussion for a sec....
Looking at the piece of info ( one saying there won't be Dlc's for factions that lost in the poll voting ) can we really believe that? I mean this is Ubisoft we are talking about, the money milkers. I find it unimaginable heroes 7 passing without a single dlc.
I guess Sanctuary could be added since it probably won't be featured in any voting.

I'm pretty sure one insider (was it Elvin?) confirmed faction that lost their voting will not be featured in DLCs ON RELEASE. After that, if game does well, they might get released in DLCs.

You've got to admit that Strength has many tanky units, such as the Dragon (most likely), the Treant (granted these two are in every line-up) and the Unicorn. This in combination with having no flyers leaves Stength very defensive. They also have some offensive units, but less than the others. I like the creatures Strength has, but I strongly prefer Fury's gameplay style.

Impossible for anyone to say, because none of us have the statistics.

If statistics is anything to go by, it is impossible for an unpopular choise to get so, how to say, popular in such a short amount of time. If the increase was steady, I would not say a thing. It wasn't.

Having a mass change in popularity is not like going faster than light. The laws of math and physics allows it, therefore it can happen, especially if there is a bunch of people who took a day to find out about it and come to a decision.
Besides if there was so much cheating for fury why is balance still wining?

Well, Dlc with no factions would make sense, but an expansion WITHOUT factions wouldn't make sense. Dlc would be essentially be just more maps, artifacts and so on.
So yeah, I'm not buying into that rule.

The turning point (when fury was winning and then dropped) was when that blasted fake post came out here saying that the devs want to make fury a humanoid faction. but it's too late now.
P.S. Stevie I'm sorry i abandoned our cause for the fury to win (meaning i don't post here the obvious again and again till someone understands, my vote still stands for fury), but the whole thing has become stressful and vexing and it will make me hate this forum and it's something i don't want.
in the end i need to say that some members here seemed ("seemed", not are, might be only me) almost hostile. they should know better since they exist here long enough.
again this poll is the worst and everyone would be less annoyed if ubisoft dropped the line up they wanted without tempting us and make us go on "crusades".
and if any smart@ss claims he didn't even sweat supporting his line up, acting all cool and indifferent, then i need to take a break for sure from all this

Listen to this and think of dwarves. It shall quench your anger and make your chest hair grow.
I guess we'll get Dwarves in 8 if nothing else. Hopefully Ubisoft doesn't crosses dwarves completely judging by the popularity :/

Not relating my comment with H7 at all I must say the following.
Very old 16 bit music that doesn't not go beyond stereo and midi? . Man this theme is wonderful and sounds wonderful almost 20 years later. I don't give a snow about modern technology and live orchestras, when someting sounds great don't need any of that.
I whish any of the last games had many more themes like this. By the way, back in the day, after producing one of the best game soundtracks of all times (H2), they even added some amazing alternative themes for the towns short later. Impressive.
A bit melancolic yes, but fitting for necro, and even elves or humans. Not everything has to be epic all the time.
