Why not? The Return of the King's director's cut takes 3+ hours to watch IIRC. But it's worth the time.

About time
I do think that this video is extremely optimistic...
Marblethrone said: Awesome video, you guys are really sure of yourselves with all those promises and statements . No two battles alike? Discover new ways of playing even after spending hundreds of hours? Past experience in this blog and on HC have led to believe that many would not share this rather...optimistic view. Let's hope that even they find themselves willing to give H7 the time and dedication it deserves.
They are painting one hell of a positive picture in that video, let's see if they deliver exactly what they are offering.

Me too. =) I'm even thinking of watching LotR again...
@Avonu - well, you have a point: one should not watch Return of the King in evening, for it's possible to fall asleep.

-Yrris
-Eruina
-Sylsai
-Sorshan

How about this:
"MMH7 continues a long-standing tradition with an extensive single-player campaign and features both newcomers and long-time fans will be excited for".
I think "excited" would be the wrong word to describe the general mood on HC/SC .

Like this?
For big creatures even worse lol
You could also just move them to their destination in a straight line. The only complication would come in the form of possible hidden obstacles (like hidden units or quicksand and the likes). In those cases, the game will simply have to take the nearest hex as final destination of the unit. The advantage is that the game already knows all variables in effect before the actual movement is made, so it can compensate for alternate destinations. Of course, visible obstacles should be circumvented in proper fashion.
And in all honesty, some addons for H3 have done a great job in showing predicted destinations. Implementing a similar system in H8 shouldn't be rocket science, so you can still plan ahead with relative ease.

Wasn't me. I only played CB2 for 92 hours.
People are a bit delusional about time played, aren't they? Taking off the time you wasted waiting AI turns, his playing hours would change to -20 or something. And within that account, of actual gameplay, you still have to find the time you actually had any fun.
****
And the hexagonal grid is 90° lopsided in that scheme. When playing H3, you could notice units walking in zigzag when they were going up and down the screen, directly. They moved straight in line when moving forward. Someone posted that observation in a picture some posts behind, but it looks like people didn't notice.
