Wow.. Sahaar orcs? Now that is a nice tiwst. TO bad nobady posted their more interesting units here... The are slightly inspired by Beduins, Slightly by Nomadic tribes.
Hope they will be depicted in a fun way. Also this could mean that their models will not be only reused ones, I hope for a slightly more H5 Cyclopse and not such a huge lump like in H6.

Wyvern Rider doesn't belong to the Sahaar Orcs as far as I know, Wyvern Rider was among first Stronghold units in Duel of Champions while Sahaar Orcs were released much much later(4th expansion IIRC).
Oh well, I am hoping now that we will see some sort of Behemoth at least as another champion.

My guess for stronghold:
Core: Gnoll (melee), orc axe/spear thrower (ranged), harpy (flyer)
Elite: Centaur (ranged), shaman, bigger melee orc (ogre style, alternativly pao kai goblin rider)
Champion: Behemonts, thunderbirds
All with that nice african/mongolian touch. The sahaar orcs will probably resemble H3 stronghold the most.

In reality I would like to see Gnoll anyway

Shaman: Melee support with active spells
Centaur: Mobile trange

Cyclopse: Short rane shooter with simbiosis abilities /like in H5/

How is it based on a Behemoth concept when Cyclops were in the game from beginning and they even had Cyclops in H3 in the same town as Behemoths? Yes, both of them will be huge hulking beasts, difference is that Behemoth could be quite fast and aggressive(like in H3) while Cyclop will probably be slow and ranged unit, like in H6(ok they weren't that slow there IIRC but they should be!).

But the Cyclops already has the one-eyed behemoth design and I think they even appeared in the trailer so I vote no for a Behemoth creature next to it. Thunderbird as champion would be much better.

Don't you think it would be a kind of a downgrade for the Thundirbird? You know going from Boss to Champion?

For those who don't play the game Sahaar orcs as in DoC, (All cards) Look at the "Fortune cards" aswell will give you a nice idea about the theme they have

It still would be a better pairing for Cyclops, being a flyer and all. Many want the Behemoth back but I know they will still complain if those two are the champions, not to mention if we also get an Orc brute as an elite like the Jaguar Warrior...

Look at the lineup I made it got me thinking, is the goblin really needed? I know they are one of the more core and traditional creatures but also, it is one of the more expendable ones. From all the creatures I think he is the second most refunded one (First being "Big ORC")

I don't know what is the obsession with Thunderbirds, I just dislike them and especially dislike them as champions like in H4. At least for Stronghold there are many units and ideas that would fit for champions, just take a look at Duel of Champions.
If you want Thunderbird as alternative champion because of flying and fast movement speed while Cyclops are ranged and slow, fine, but then Wyverns are much much better alternative for me and it fits Orcs in Ashan anyway.
