I wish they don't focus on just magic next week. I want to see a flip-flop between might and magic, every time they reveal a skill.
Also, the fact that they "revealed" an article a day last week was great. Yeah, some were small, but I still enjoyed it. I hope they have enough stuff to do that for a while.
I think they are going to mixx it up with some final stronghold and community news.
Like Stronhold heroes or TS/W-F units from other factions

With 24 skills (not counting faction skills) there are 276 different unique combinations of any 2 skills. As such, it does seem a bit puzzling that we have several examples of classes sharing the same 2 skills as their major skills, given we only have 36 hero classes - that's sloppy work at best. Giving each class a unique combination of 2 skills as their major skill would be the least they could do to secure variation in the game.
About the "why can't I play a might class without any magic skills" discussion - we should remember that even if the class has a magic skill as favored skill, you don't need to choose it. Of course, it does cut you off from an ultimate skill, but even so, I hope the straight 3-ultimate build will not be something you go for too often, otherwise this system will truly have failed.

Exactly
I take it as a hint that certain skills are going to have OP ultimates and they know that, so they're just distributing them amongst many factions.

Its irritating though because there doesn't seem to be any trade off. Its either play with your classes ultimates or play at a disadvantage. If it took two or three skill points to level an ultimate ability then at least not going for it would mean I would get a few extra skills or perks.

I just want to say that I totally agree with cleglaw about the negativity. Come on guys, don't be dinosaurs and adapt. Erwan is trying to simplify H7, but make it intresting at the same time. We don't need super complex skills, we don't need 1 million skills. I really like what I see so far from the developers. The game is simple and has a lot of tactics - the focus will be on the different terrains and positioning and not so much on unit abilities and this is GREAT. Chess is the best strategy game and yet it is so simple. I want an easy to understand game that will be played by millions of people online, not some super-complex game that is played between 10 guys from the forum.

You don't get the negativity? Check skill system threads from 2012 and find out how hypocritical it is from Ubisoft to say they care about their fan base and listen to the feedback in order to deliver "the best homm experience".

At least, that's the way it was quoted just before the ominous "Your battle for Dune begins ... nowwwwww" sounded, when starting a new game of Dune 2 . Man, I spent some hours on that game, hehe.
