Seriously, i don't get the problem with the blade dancer. shouldn't we be happy not getting a twelve-year olds wet fantasy of "maturity"? that thing was just... ugh
3LiON's version is pretty perfect if you ask me: it makes the original not as... painful to watch and can actually be taken seriously unlike the original voting art.

The only problem that I have with current model is their face. It is too... triangular. And that smirk... Ugh.  But sure, it looks way better than Heroes V wimp. Just this face...

People, you re trolling about the head.. the head isn t ugly, it s missplaced and should z-translate ++.
For what we see now, the head is in front of the thorax more than on the shoulders. In extreme point, if the head not retouch, eyes and faces should look to the floor.

WoW has druids (who they too have horns on their head, of course). Neverwinter Nights has them, Gothic 3 has them, Diablo has them - even the darn EverQuest has a nature guy called "druid". Can't our franchise be a little more original, as in the past?

I translated the head and i redraw the left cheek (the curve was outside the face). As well the forehead should be less big on the left

Personally (not that you care, but i'll say it anyway), i don't mind having female magic units. In general women are more adept to magical powers and forces. While a man should practice, train and in general accomplish his magic status, a woman can reach that level much easier.
So for me it makes sense that there will be a female Druid, or a Sorceress, or a Crone, or a female Djin.
And since the design of the unit is simple and to the point (i don't even mind the upgrade but i'd also prefer just the white dress) i care more for the abilities.
If i can bring the lore and mythology to the general idea of the Druid (don't know all the details regarding Ashan), the horns or Deer head might be a reference to Kernunos, a Deity of the earth, the forest and the Hunting. The White dress is indeed what the Druids wore and the stuff that ends looking like a sickle is a reference to the sickle the Druids used to cut herbs and plants, but also used in magical practices.

Why do people think 3D models will be better? They are putting a lot of gamble and hope in that. May I just remind you Necro's units' artwork and 3D models?

On the video from E3 Pixie for example looked better than on artwork, IMO.

That i have no answer to and still consider a flaw in the drawing. I am very curious to see if it still exists in the 3D model and if it does how they will explain it

My version of druid, druid for some unknown reason for me has much more yellow skin color than blade dancer, so I changed that
Starting to work on blade dancer, the problem with him is the smirk of course but also his face is really dark and he has a lot of wrinkles which is unusual for elf

Druids don't harvest the plants required for the brew that tints their eyes. A dying plant will seek a Druid of its choice and offer him its fibers to use as he or she sees fit. It is a great honour to receive such a gift.
