I'm really hoping for Mummy's victory though. To me, it seems to have the most potential and actually allows for some innovation - Priest of Death feels too much like a dark version of the Haven priest, while Sorcerer is pretty much a recap of the old designs.
Normally, I would be somewhat fine with Undead Sorcerer's victory, but now, especially after seeing what Galaad is doing, it will leave me a bit bitter.

Okay, I know this might be surprising to some, but I decided to change my vote in favor of the Priest of Death. I already mentioned what I believe its good points are in some previous posts. If you don't agree with my reasons, then take it as a personal choice. I don't want any drama over it.
However, I would be equally happy if the Undead Sorcerer won, which is what I actually believe it will happen. The worst option though for me is the Mummy, I simply cannot agree with it. So yea, there you have it

Priest of Death is actualy cool too. I would say my personal greatest thing in favour of him is, that he dosen't have staff. Yes that's right. I actualy don't like the staff design with giant spider as a point, so not having staff, but just tome of dark spells is actualy very cool. I just might go for him ... if he only had leggs. So for me, mummy it is.
I would say tho, that personaly, I won't be dissapointed regardless which one wins. Basicaly I like all 3 designs. However I do enjoy drama very much, so it's worth to pick a side just for that.

My vote went to the Ancient Mummy. Brilliant concept! I always wanted to see a lich that will have some elements connected with ancient Egypt. Here we have a mix of a mummy and a lich that looks great in my oppinion.
It'd be awesome if this sketch won in the competitionl It would give to the game a fresh-looking Lich that looks dangerous and mysterious.

Voted for Priest of Death. I've never particularly liked any HoMM lich design, but this one looks okay.

Anyway, if you see Undead Sorcerer more similar to D3 Lich than D3 Necromancer... ok, be it your way. I'm looking forward for all this feedback/bile/hatred/wining (depends on the point of view) when they'll present the final model and it won't be skeletal.

Yeah, but they'll be able excuse themselves from not heeding your warning, by saying it's all the dev teams' fault for not going through with their wishful thinking, lol.
The only thing is, what use will it be for anyone to dispute whose fault it really is, if the deed is already done.  They'll stick to their assumptions without listening to anyone, even if it all can be prevented. Really, a shame.

Perhaps I'm not in the best position to suggest anything, as I also kinda did regress myself with a few mockeries... but, I would support voting Ancient Mummy.
It's still a lich, both in the name and physically, as it's essentially a lich whose body decayed so much, that he needs bandages and rituals to stay in one piece. It'd also mean a return of the mummies to the game, not only that - it would fit right with the game's style and show that mummies in Ashan aren't mindless zombies, but formidable leaders with magical knowledge, which is a plus.
Also, I kinda like the commanding look and the mask.

Not the mummy. It looks more like a Christmas tree than a unit. Other two are in my opinion better. Which should you choose? The choice is yours. I would stay with the Undead Sorcerer because, well, that's my pick.

i think you're overestimating my ability to care about this unit: i find all designs to be plenty acceptable and i just want some stupid reasons to change my vote.

Well there are several pros with Ancient mummy. First is, that it fits the theme perfectly. Pyramid and all. Second is, that it's probably only way we're going to see "mummy" in game. All liches have mummy influence, that's true, but the third one is most mummy-like. I am also one of people, who don't mind liches having flesh. Sure, skeletal liches are cool and all, but we already have skeleton that's 100% skeletal. Another point is the mask. If you like it that is. The "predator mask" as some call it looks great, and makes it that much more unique looking. But by far the biggest plus, I see, is that it actualy has leggs, and is not floating or hovering. On top of that, the other two are realy similar to one-another, so mummy looks most unique.
Now there are cons aswell. First is the staff. Only Priest is witouth staff, which makes him superior in this regard - if you don't like staff that is. Second is, he has the most jewellery on him. That's realy it. I personaly think pros outweight the cons.
Priest is my second favourite. That's because he has hood, and is only design with no staff. He is similar that Sorcerer tho, and both remind me of LoL character, Krathus, or Kel' Thuzad from WoW too much. That is, they hover, and have no leggs. And their clothing is similar. The only thing that goes in Sorcerer's favour realy is skeletal face. Now if that face is the most important thing in the world, sure. Sorcerer is the one for you. But otherwise, I don't see much else. There's one more thing to consider. Both sorcerer and priest are similar than H5 lich. But that in itself, to me dosen't say much, one way or the other.
Now, what I realy think is, all 3 designs are good, and I personaly will be happy no mater what wins. But to me, Ancient mummy is the way to go
