Mummy is more innovative, fits better with the theme, looks pretty well, and isn't floating though.
Not to mention that he looks the way Spider Cult wizard commanding undead forces should look like.

yeah but the problem with the Mummy is that he makes a great Mummy lol, this is a vote for what we think makes a great Lich

Yeah, I was worried people would be so focused on that.
We should focus on the design we want to see in the game, not on the semantics.

Though generally i agree with this notion, i must ask: Should there be an expansion, and in that expansion a possibility to add the mummy as a neutral for necropolis, or make the towns a 4/4/2 format and the mummy is the extra elite unit, should you want to have that mummy in the game or should it be scraped because mummies are actually Liches in disguise in Ashan?

I must admit I was somewhat torn between the Sorcerer and the Mummy, both look awesome. But in the end, the Sorcerer is what screams "LICH" to me more than the Mummy, even if that one looks awesome in his own right. Besides, voting Mummy Lich (or Lich Mummy ) now could potentially block off a great Mummy creature in a possible expansion.
The Priest doesn't really tick with me, so it's out.
So, Undead Sorcerer for me, it is!

But none of them is skeletal, the sorcerer only has skull head but otherwise they are all mumies

If it's not voted for, it's not going to appear. I'm very convinced it's going to end this way. It'd be too similar in its concept and mechanics to actual lich.

Similar in looks maybe but that can be tweeked as Minastir shows. As for the mechanics, not really. I can think of a few ideas of how a mummy could be an elite and how it could work.

I personally believe that the Priest would make for a better Acolyte unit than a Lich. It has some cool features like the robe from the shoulders down covering a bit of the arms, the exposed backbone and the covered face + hood combo. Also the floating book is killer. But Undead Sorcerer appears to be more of a Lich, both in design and in description.

Perhaps I wouldn't be so bitter about it, if the Undead Sorcerer would look like Minastir edited it, but still...
My favorite is still Ancient Mummy, as a sentient, masked Necromancer... and I did lose my hopes in this design winning, given the comments, lots of them led by H3 nostalgia.
I don't exactly like that 'vote for Sorcerer is a vote for Sandro" phrase, either. Using a popular character's name to advocate your own preference, ehh... ^-^;

The priest looks a bit too normal for my taste and he actually resembles the necro magic unit quite a bit,so I hope he doesn't win.
Aside from him I am pretty much torn between sorceror and mummy,the mummy is a breath of fresh air,but in the end it doesn't really resemble a lich and I'd say it could be more its own thing,the sorceror on the other hand is skeletal and more lich like,which is why I chose him.

I think we should all try not to focus so much on accessories since they are the easiest to adapt. All 3 options can end up with a levitating spell book and a staff that materializes from thin air H5-style. This should not be the main focus.
Everything else is. If you want a more H4 Sandro-like approach go Sorcerer, but there is a risk it might levitate in the end. (All options have this risk but here it's the most visuals (thank you very much posture)
The mummy on the other hand has the best posture for me, it is the one that in my eyes looks the closest to H3 lich and also generates the most respect and fear. It would be nice if the final product would be named mummy as well. I hope it will.
I wonder if people would change their vote if this was not a Lich vote, but necro elite spellcaster vote.

I've chosen the Undead Sorcerer. I would not mind if the one of the others would win, though. They are all awesome in their own way, so...

i dont understand how low priest's votes are. he has a skeletal face + dark hood + book of the dead. sorcerer is same lich of h5, too much similair. both of the 2nd and 3rd options have spider spiked wierd staff which doesnt look any good.
now i like hoods and helmets at the same time but i want something more fresh then just a remake of h5 lich.
please reconsider this people.

Because it was the original design of the Lich, taken from H6, which caused the most controversy and sparked an enormous hate-flood.
So it is quite obvious that people are now voting for the design they like best, the design they've been waiting for, the design that probably should have been there from the very start.

I think all three options are upgrades over the original design. I also like these much better than I like the new Vampire designs. I'm going with the Undead Sorcerer, but I do miss the spellbook from the Priest Of Death - however, if there's anything we *don't* need, it's yet another cloaked-face model. The Mummy is really good also, however.
